His question hung in the air, and it seemed like Isabela was considering it for a moment. Aldric of course had no complaints about his heart, feeling he had it completely under control, which was the truth. The further she leaned down he did begin to feel a pressure on his chest, but he didn't get a chance to really wince before she was pressing a kiss to his lips; which went unreturned for the time being. Upon pulling back though she explained that was the reason she knew something was wrong with his heart.
Aldric only smirked a little bit when she had pulled back but shook his head. "On the contrary, this proves i have control of my heart unlike most people." Aldric countered her, the smirk masking the pain on his ribs. He didn't exactly know how to take the kiss, but it didn't effect him. If she had any interest in him it was considerably premature... she had barely known him for the day...

Isabela didn’t miss the smirk that he gave her when she pulled away from the kiss and mention that was how she knew his heart needed healing. Of course she had not expected a single kiss to work, no he needed time and chance to clean out the old wounds. The kiss was merely a tool to gadget how he would react; which was not at all. That told her how much work she had ahead of her if she was going to help him before he left.
“That’s not control Aldric that’s not feeling at all, it’s not living at all because your not willing to let anyone get close or realy enjoy anything. It’s like you’re a droid.” She answered when he mention that he was in control, she pulled back finally and looked at him. Yes he needed a lot of help.

He looked to her, almost with a challenging look on his own face as Isabela got herself back into a sitting position next to him and then made her arguments against his own defense. He had to smirk just slightly at her insistence. He wondered how one like her could be so attached to someone like him in less then a full day. He was well aware that there probably wasn't any real feeling behind her move; but the fact she was invested enough to try and 'help him' said something.
At her comment of him being droid like though, he nodded slightly in agreement. "At least droids get work done." Aldric commented with his eyebrows arched. To him that was about all that mattered any more; was work. He wasn't emotionless as she suggested... but it took a great deal to stir any emotion in him. Something he assumed she would see over the course of this visit.
