It was nice to see that he wasn’t all grouchy, that he could in fact smile a little. It also meant he might be feeling a little bit better, though not well enough to do more than just rest in the bed for the day. “I have a chair you can be pushed around in when you’re strong enough to get out of the bed, so you will be able to get fresh air from the garden to help you heal faster.” She would make sure he was well taken care of, give him anything that he might want or need. Before he would leave her care she would make sure he was well taken care of and had a way to get home safely; after all she paid for his safety she was going to see it though.
With the juices deliver, Aldric picked out the one that he wanted. He was reaching for it when she moved to stop him, gently placing a hand on his chest. “Let me get it, I don’t want you hurting yourself even more.” She then picked up the cup, setting even closer to him now, she handed it to him to drink.

He had to arch his brow at the mention of a chair for him to be pushed around in. Did he look all that helpless? He sighed a bit and shook his head. "Most of the beating was centered around my torso, but my legs are fine." Aldric commented slightly. The care was certainly appreciated, but Aldric was hardly a cripple; even if he was temporarily close to being one at the moment.
Nothing more was said or done for a moment as he continued to reach for the drink on the end table, but was swiftly stopped by the woman to intent on his care. Honestly he didn't know what he had done for her to make her try and care for him so much; perhaps something he would ask about. It wasn't on his mind at the moment though as Aldric winced just a little at the pressure placed on his bruised chest. It didn't feel like she did anything to the cracked and broken ribs, which was a plus, but that didn't make it hurt any less.
With a small wince he leaned back a little, feeling Isabela scoot even closer to him before she was bringing the drink to him over the short distance and handing it down to him. He accepted it of course and moved it to his lips to take a quick but labored swig of it.

“I’ll be the judge of that.” She answered when he stated his legs were fine, just cause he could walk didn’t mean it wouldn’t be painful and cause damage She was becoming like and over protective mother, and in truth Isabela didn’t’ know why. Maybe she saw something in him, or maybe it was because she didn’t get many chances to help other people for the sake of helping them. Whatever the reason was she was only to happy to have spared his life and see him regain it.
She knew he felt a slight bit of pain when she stopped him from moving, though she didn’t put enough pressure there to cause any more damage to his already battered rips, but enough to remind him what state he was in. He couldn’t just move like he was trying to do to grab something it would cause him to undo what has already been healed or was working on healing. So Isabela handed him the cup and watched him take a labored drink before taking the glass again and lifting it to his lips so he wouldn’t have to.

While he was yet drinking from the cup he felt Isabela then moving to take it from him. He sighed lightly, but before he could say or do anything about it he found her moving closer yet again to help him drink, holding it to his mouth for him. He didn't protest of course. Anyway that would only lead to it spilling on him. So he accepted the help, drinking it a little more evenly now before the cup was eventually pulled away from his lips, leaving him to lean back into the pillow a little more.
With the drink out of the way he looked to Isabela once more, eyes narrowing a little bit before he sighed and spoke in question. "So..." He commented almost thoughtfully as he looked around a little. "... Any reason in particular you took me in or just being neighborly?" He asked, tilting his head a little bit as he looked back to her; trying his best to get comfortable. He assumed that his kindness would have some sort of a price attached to it. He couldn't fathom someone being kind (particularly to his obnoxious arse) without wanting something in return.

He didn’t fight her when she tried helping him drink, something that most people wouldn’t allow. After all she was a stranger she could have put something in his drink, though to think such a thing after she had put her neck out like this to save him and care for him. Once he was done drinking she lowered the cup but didn’t put it back, instead she held it waiting to see if he would like anymore. She would make sure he got some fluids in his body.
“I made a choice long ago to help those that needed it.” She answered in a matter of fact voice, her smile fading slightly. It was strange for someone on this planet to care, but she had sworn when she was freed from slavery she would help who she could with the money given to her. Many saw her with her slaves and thought she was wealthy to own so many; and it was true she was; but she had saved each one of them from curl owners. She only sold slaves to those she trusted to care for them like she did and to keep families together. A lot of the times some of her slaves freed themselves by taking odd jobs and earning money to buy their own freedom; to which Isabela helped them get settle so they never end up as a slave again.

She held the drink there for a moment still, making sure Aldric had it if he wanted to go back for another sip of it, but he made no move to get closer to it or grab at it again. Instead he let her speak up, answering his question as she briefly explained that it was more of a personal obligation that she had made; a contract with herself that she would take care of anyone she could. He arched his brow as he took a note of this, but he said nothing more for a moment as she seemed to let herself wander in thought to something elsewhere. After a few seconds of silence though he did clear his throat a little before beginning to speak, lightly pushing the juice away from himself now that he had gotten what he wanted of it.
"How fortunate for me you came along then." He commented after a moment of letting her mind wander off to whatever it was she was letting herself think about for the time being. Already though after only being awake for a few moments he was beginning to feel the effects of being cooped up in a place like this. Sure there was plenty to admire in the area, the entire place being well decorated. But he had pretty much taken the entire room within seconds of opening his eyes. Aside from looking out the window where the suns still blinded his sight, there was little for him to do... and it was likely to draw him stir crazy before his recovery time was up...

Isabela was bought back out of her wondering of the life she knew long ago by his statement, causing her to smile a little. “More like it was a bit of luck, since we are really into gambling on this planet I say the dice rolled in your favor.” Seeing that he was done with the drink she move to put it back on the table. After a moment however she stood, looking down at him. “You should most likely get some rest now, I’m going to return in a little while. I have some business to attend to and as much as I enjoy my robe and nightgown I do not wish to wear them all day. “ She stated this with a little sly grin though she had noticed he didn’t look at her like many other men did. “If you rest when I return we could play a game or I shall bring you something to read.” Isabela knew being trapped in bed was no fun, well was no fun when you were hurt and couldn’t do anything. So as a good hostess she would try to provide him with ways he could be distracted.
Isabela then turned and left the room, she headed right to her own room to change and see to her business dealings; allowing him plenty of time to rest.

His comment did pull her back to reality it seemed and she was speaking using her illustration, about luck and dice. While Aldric didn't mind a good illustration now and again, he wasn't a fan of the word "luck". the expression on his face showed the distaste he had for that word too, but he said nothing of it for the time being, just accepting her explanation for the time being. Before long though she was standing up though and suggesting that he get more rest while she dealt with some other things and changed into something more suitable for the day's work head of her. While Aldric knew he wouldn't be doing much in his current state, but rest was also seemingly out of the question.
Granted he was tired, but he had just managed to sleep through the entire night; and though it hadn't been all that fulfilling for him (having woken and fallen back to sleep more times then he could count in his restless sleep) he wasn't the time who could sleep easy once he had come out of sleep. He arched his brow a little as Isabela informed him that she planned on bringing something for him to entertain himself with, something Aldric certainly wouldn't mind at the moment in his current state. With that she was leaving, Aldric watching her for a moment as she made her exit before he let out a heavy sigh into the other wise quiet room.
With nothing else to do, hardly anything to learn from the room except the fact Isabela had more then just a few servants going by the cleanliness of the room, and finally Rest being out of the question for the moment; Aldric shut his eyes and began going over all of the information related to his help with the Hutts at the current time. He wanted to make sure he had built a full proof case to back fire on them, and that Quinn would be safe through all of it... It wasn't rest, but at least his eyes were shut and he wasn't doing anything physically tasking.

Isabela took her time getting dress, washing up and dressing her hair, before turning her attention to her day’s work. She wanted Aldric to have time to rest, though she was pretty sure he was just going to set in bed the whole time and look around the room bored out of his mind. She felt pretty bad for him, and even worse for leaving him alone but he really did need the rest. Of course she had sent in a servant to gather the cups like she told him she would, but she also sent in a male servant to offer any help that Aldric might wish for cleaning up and dressing; believing he wouldn’t want a female servant to help him with that.
Almost two hours later however Isabela had enough work done that she decided it was time to return to her patient. She did not however come empty handed, instead she brought a small hologram game of chess and a few books she had picked out that she believe he might like; he seemed the very science type and so that’s what she had brought him. “How are you feeling.” She asked walking back into the room, setting the items down on the table and once again setting next to him on the bed.

Aldric went silent when his eyes shut, giving a small sigh into the room for a moment before anyone else entered. It was quiet for a while but eventually the first servant was sent in to clean up the cups and then left just as swiftly. Aldric completely ignored her, just letting his mind work for the moment. He wasn't interrupted again until another servant deliberately interrupted him; this time it was a man standing near him and asking if Aldric needed any assistance getting himself ready for the day. Aldric glanced down at his person and shoe the man away, knowing there was nothing that could really be helped with right no. And of course it was just possible he really didn't feel like moving on his delicate healing right now.
So the man left and Aldric once more shut his eyes, taking time to think on his plan until he was satisfied that there was nothing about his plan that seemed flawed. Except of course that his companion; Quinn Leer was out on her own right now probably getting into trouble and helplessly lost without him. He groaned a little when his eyes again opened and leaned back, noticing from the Sun's moved positions that it must have been at least a couple of hours since he had began thinking to himself and had been left alone by the woman who had called herself Isabela.
When she entered again into the room Aldric shot his eyebrow up, listening to the question she entered with. "I can't say there has been much improvement." Aldric answered with a small sigh as he watched her enter, seeing the few books in her hand and the game of chess in the form of a holographic projector. Clearly she had brought the promised entertainment she had mentioned she would bring when she had left on her last visit. He glanced to them for only about a second before she was sitting down once more on the edge of the bed right up against him. "I take it you've gotten work done?" He asked, glancing back to her now and then back to the door.

“There might not be much improvement to your body but your spirit might be a little better, and you should feel a little more rested.” Isabela answered with a smile as she sat down, listening to his next question about her getting work done. “I’ve got enough work done for now, my work is never really done but I have enough done to keep my home running smoothly for now.” Isabela answered as she looked at the man whose life was in her hands. She didn’t mention that she had had a visitor that had been asking if she had seen someone fitting Aldric’s description. Unlike other homes, hers was not search she had been able to convince the man to not look around; it took a kiss and a little money but he had left happy and she wasn’t worried that he would return.
“I didn’t know what you might enjoy reading but you seem the type of man that likes history or science books; so that’s what I brought you.” Isabela picked up one of the books and turned it over a few times before presenting it for him to see. “If you are interested in something else you just need to let me or one of my servants know we’ll get you what you enjoy reading.” Like everything else Isabela had collected books and now owned a large library. Her attention was now turned to the hologram of chess and smiled. “I didn’t know if you enjoyed playing chess but I brought it as well to keep your mind busy while your body heals.”

Interestingly enough Isabela seemed to argue that while she agreed there wouldn't be any change in his physical condition, his spirits might have lifted some. Aldric arched his brow a little at this comment made while she moved to sit next to him, though said nothing of it. Already she was displaying signs of a person who had a personal relationship with him. And interestingly enough they had only known each other for a few hours; most of which had been spent asleep or with the woman out of the room taking care of her own personal business. Not much of a foundation for a personal relationship, let alone one where she would be caring how he emotionally felt in the situation.
Still he said nothing as she was soon enough answering his question about how much work she had gotten done. He didn't press it, just nodded lightly as he let his attention be drawn to the books now that she had brought in. Clearly they had been through at least a few owners but were in rather good condition. Library like care and conditions, and clearly she only tried to get the best printings and copies available. Also they had been read, and rather recently by the lack of dust only a few weeks old at the newest. Clearly they were used and dusted regularly; which gave Aldric an idea as to how big this home was, and just how many servants she might have.
"That will do fine." Aldric commented as he took the book offered to him, flipped through the pages for a second but set it down on the side table with a slight grunt; Stubbornly having forgotten about his ribs. When she mentioned the holochess table which he had also already noticed he looked down to it thoughtfully. "Computers are boring." Aldric shrugged a little, not actually considering the fact that she might be offering to play the game with him.

The man she was setting next too seemed to have the personality of a wet mop. Isabela had tried to be friendly and engage him a little in conversation but it was clear he just wasn’t interested or didn’t know how to talk to another person. To many people this would just cause them to turn off toward him, to want to get him healed and out of the house or not even bother with him anymore. Isabela however wasn’t like most people an she was finding that she wanted to get to know this man she had saved even more. What made him so cold and stand offish like he was. There was no doubt he was smart, he would have to be in order to pull what he did with the Hutts.
He seemed pretty interested, or was that him being happy, about the books she had brought. Of course they had no dust on them because Isabela believed in keeping everything in perfect condition; nothing ruined a collection more than dust covering it. There was also the fact that she did enjoy reading when her time allowed her too, she hadn’t learned to read until she was married and now took whatever chance she could to loose herself in a book; it didn’t matter what kind.
When he made a move that clearly didn’t agree with his ribs, Isabela just sat there. She didn’t want to be to over bearing when I came to his health, after all he would learn soon that he would have to move gently or cause damage to his ribs; something that would be quickly learned. “Computers might be boring but I’m sure a human companion would make things interesting.” That was her way of offering to play a game with him if he was interested.

Nothing was said between them for a second as Aldric put the book on the stand beside him and then glanced back up to her after commenting about the game of chess. The automatic program would be boring for Aldric yes, he had memorized every move years ago. However when she offered to play the game with him he ruffled his brows a bit and looked back to her, more then just a little surprised to hear she was willing to take time out for the sake of nothing more then keeping him busy. He had a hard time finding people willing to keep him busy even among those he trusted, let alone strangers, which caused the slightest interest that he had for her to spark a little more. There must have been something this woman wanted from him that she wasn't telling him yet. The chances that someone actually blinding cared for him like this were slim... especially with the way he had been acting to her.
Still, he was hardly about to turn the offer of a good chess game down, and with an arch of his brow he looked back down to the board that sat inactive in her lap. "I'm surprised you have the time for it." He admitted in regards to her offer, glancing up at her finally before shrugging finally. "Alright... you're opening move." He commented, pressing his fingers together as he sat up a little more, getting ready for the game that had been offered to him.

The offer to play a game of chess against him seem to have perked his interests the most, it was most likely due to the fact he didn’t think she knew how to. She couldn’t fault him for thinking that way, after all Isabela didn’t looked to be the type of person that would know how to play a game of strategy like chess, let alone some of the other things she had taken to learn. That was part of the game she played though and she was good at it. Many people looked at her and only saw a pretty face and good body; they didn’t see that she might have a brain as well. This was all find with Isabela since she was able to use it to her advantage and take people for everything they owned. It also made her one heck of a business woman.
“I have all the time I want, that’s the joy of being the one in charge.” Isabela answered as she turned on the board, the chess pieces coming to life before them. She smiled as he invited to take the first move, and so she did. In a matter of moments the two of them where engaged in a game.
