The introduction transformed into a conversation. Maul walked past the Sith Lady and went back to the bar counter, as if nothing happened before. He gave a nod and leaned his elbows against the bar counter. "My master raised me." He said and his golden eyes were lowered down on the bartender who was still hiding behind. The scared man finally rose up and glanced at the rest of the tavern with horrified eyes. Then he met Maul's eyes, which made him nod and reach for a bottle from the behind. Afterward, he was refilling the mug of the Sith Lord.
"My former master." He added bitterly. To Talon's other statement of being misplaced in time, there was no shift in his facial expression. "It's true." He replied, nothing else to say. Maul didn't belong to any home or time. So such things didn't matter to him. he wasn't missing any place at the moment. Of course, it was obvious he drew attention. That came along with making a name in the galaxy. He was rebuilding Shadow Collective and he was the leader.
But the question about the mark on his neck made him shift his gaze at the female Twi'lek. After taking a sip from his drink, Maul gave a bitter face. That bite mark still didn't heal properly and was obvious even on his tattooed skin. "Someone I want to kill." His answer was not misleading. That redheaded Jedi had been a major pain in the ass for Maul since he arrived the timeslip. And this bite mark was pure humiliation on his part. It was the Zabrak blood in his veins, which made him boil inside with disgust. He wasn't anyone's property. Not anymore.
Making a motion at the bartender, Maul made the other man prepare a new drink for his new friend. Not that Maul knew what that term meant. But since they fought together, that was the start of a new alliance for him.

Talon nodded when he mention that he was raised by his master, it wasn’t really common but she had heard stories. She had not been raised by her master, but she had known of him since the day of her birth and was raised to one day take her place at his side; it had been her only goal in life. She remembered the day she had been anointed to be his right hand, after having cut off her old master’s head because Krayt had told her to do so. Talon moved back to her place at the bar, the fight was over now and they had no reason to attack anyone in the bar; unless they got foolish enough to take on the two Siths just having a drink now.
He was out of time and place like she was, but like her he didn’t seem to mind to much or care. Maybe it was because they saw the chance to make the future a better place, after all they knew of the mistakes that were made so now they could change it. Granted there was jedi that had traveled back as well and could ruin their plans, but they had a thing about saving innocent people so that always gave the Sith a leg up.
Talon watched Maul when he mention who at bitten him, she picked up the drink that was poured for her and drank it quickly. “An enemy gave you that bite mark, or a lover gone wrong.” She didn’t know why she was interested in knowing, but to see a mark like that on a man as powerful as him she couldn’t help but wonder. She motion for another drink and drank that one once again quickly. They were not friends but it was clear they had formed an alliance for the time being. Though in the Sith’s way of life allies came and went so quickly, but Talon could see this alliance could be useful at less for a while.

Talon was asking more questions about the bite mark, which made Maul show a displeased curve of lips. This topic wasn't his favourite to speak about and the Sith Lady kept poking at further details. Taking a longer sip from his drink, Maul glanced at the Twi'lek carefully.
"An enemy." He hissed in his reply. The Dathomirian wasn't personally familiar with the term of lover. Others were either allies or enemies for him. There was nothing beyond those categories. Perhaps, he could make an exception for his brother. They had a blood bound in between them and it wasn't only master and apprentice.
"Stop asking about it." He finally said as if it was an order and not a request. Of course, with Maul, there would be no requests. He never asked things nicely. It wasn't in his nature to do anything nicely.

Talon couldn’t help but wonder what kind of enemy would give him a bite on the neck like that, that was something lovers did to each other or at best a friend messing around. Clearly however that wasn’t’ the case and it was clearly a very sore subject for him to talk about; thought that made it all the more interesting to Talon. For now however she wouldn’t say another word about it, she was after all enjoying her drink right now and didn’t really feel light fighting another battle right now. Though she knew fighting him would be exciting, something she would have to try later. Though she would make sure it was a friendly spar, after all she didn’t really feel like risking life and limb right now and as angry as he just got with her asking about the bite she knew he would try and kill her if she brought it up again at this time.
Talon ordered another drink and drank it quickly, the silence between them wasn’t uncomfortable at less not to the two of them; for the rest of the bar that was still there they couldn’t help but look from one red skin Sith to the other as if waiting for the two to blow up or something. “did you just happen to appear on this planet as well or did you have business here.” Talon normally didn’t care about others but she wanted to know more about this Sith, after all she had already seen he could be a very powerful ally.

Of course, Maul wasn't going to reveal the fact a Jedi did this to him. It was degrading for a Sith Lord like him. To his words of putting an end to this discussion, Talon preferred not to ask further about the bite mark.
The bartender was scared of serving two Sith now. Though, whatever business he seemed to have with Maul before; he was still wary about his customers. At least, he wasn't running away. Grabbing the half full bottle from the shelf, he refilled Talon's glass with a slightly shaky hand. Then he was doing the same for Maul, without the Sith Lord asking for it. But the Dathomirian didn't raise any objection for more drinks.
After drinking halfway to his mug, he placed it back on the bar counter and turned his golden eyes back on the Twi'lek. She was coming up with more questions. But he didn't mind that. He could understand she was curious about meeting another Sith Lord randomly in a tavern. "Business. And it's done." He spoke in a silky tone without revealing any details, then came up with his own question.
"Who is your master?"

Maybe people would hate small talk, some would even try to figure out a way to flush out conversations but it was clear that these two Sith worked with small talk. Each one wanted to know more about the other person; a natural thing; but both didn’t want to give away too much of what they already knew. This of course was natural as well, Sith didn’t work in the open giving away their secrets and they didn’t’ trust one another. With Sith you had to watch your back, for one might be willing to fight with you one day but the next day they would stab you in the back and walk over your dead body in order to get ahead.
Maul had come on business and to him it was done, that was all he was going to say on the matter. Before Talon could even ask another question he was asking his own, he wanted to know who her master was. “Darth Krayt.” She answered picking up her glass and drinking again. The unease that the bartender felt didn’t go unnoticed to Talon, but she did nothing to ease it. Instead she gave him a cold look that caused him to shake a little more; letting her enjoy his fear. “Do you have a ship to get off this weed infested planet?”

Maul didn't even bother sitting down. He wasn't the one to get tired easily. And his half bent over the bar counter position was comfortable, as he gave his weight against the old wooden surface. The name Talon gave him wasn't familiar, though. He noted it down in his mind and left the searching for another time.
Talon was asking about him owning a ship. There was no verbal answer to that, but Maul gave a glance at the Twi'lek. Picking up his mug, the Sith Lord finished up his drink. Then he was leaning down to grab his black robes from the ground. Quickly putting it on, he left the hood at where it was. He didn't need to hide his face after all the mess he caused here.
Of course, he didn't bother to pay for the drinks. The bartender didn't have the guts to ask for it. Pushing himself off the counter, Maul turned and started to walk toward the exit; carefully stepping over either unconscious or dead bodies. He was expecting Talon to follow him. After all, he had the transport she needed; even when he said nothing about it.

Talon hadn’t sat down either, instead with her hips pressed into the wood she leaned against the bar. Picking up her drink and draining it every few times, enjoying the fear that the bartender was unable to hide. It was think in the air and seemed to energize her even more; it was like a drug. Maul never answered her about having a ship or not, instead he just finish his drink and then turned to leave; picking up his robe as he went.
Talon didn’t move right away, instead she finished her own drink then summoned her robes. With a quick movement they were on her body again, though she left them open and the hood down; what was the point of covering up. The only reason why she was taking her robes right now was the fact she had no other form of clothing at the moment, everything she had on her at this time was all she owned; though it didn’t bother her to have to travel light. There was nothing to tie her down and that was how she liked it.
Once outside of the pub Talon didn’t have to look hard to find where Maul was, and in a few steps she was walking right beside him. Both of them where causing people to turn their heads and watched them, though many slipped back into building or shadows in order to give the two Sith as much room as they wanted. “Where is your own master?” She didn’t need to ask who his master was, she knew everyone that was raised Sith knew who Maul and his master was; as well as what happen to both of them. Talon however didn’t know what timeline Maul was from, though she knew it had to be sometime after loosing his legs.

Even if Talon didn't follow after Maul right away, she was soon walking beside him. Both Sith were such a sight to see in the streets. Many people were scared, knowing they were walking trouble. They didn't want to get into trouble, which was a smart move on their part.
Then Talon asked Maul of his master's whereabouts. He knew she wasn't trying to taunt him on purpose. After all, she knew nothing about him. And she had no reason to antagonise Maul with this sore spot. "I don't have any masters anymore. I am a master now." He explained. But to become a master, he couldn't kill his former master to prove he was better. No. Maul was still no match for Darth Sidious. The last time they clashed lightsabers, Maul lost his brother to his former master.
"I was..." He started, then paused. He hated to talk about this topic. It was beyond degrading for his pride and nature. But he didn't hide the truth away. "... replaced." Sidious took Count Dooku after Maul's failure, defying that idiotic Rule of Two. Maul despised it anyway. But Sidious never came after him to save him from that terrible fate. Maul already knew he had no value in his master's eyes, but soon it turned out to be pure hatred.

Talon found it odd that he didn’t’ have a master anymore, but she didn’t say anything about it. It was even odder that he had been replaced and not just killed. Normaly when a Sith had outlived their purpose they were killed by their apprentice and that apprentice too their place. While Talon had trained Cade Skywalker she had told him she expected him to kill her one day and how she would be happy to die if that as her master’ s wish. In the end however he had denied turning to the dark side, something that Talon had believe would happen the whole time she had trained him, and stabbed her almost killing Talon. Now she had the great desire to watch him slowly die.
Talon of course heard about there could only be two rule, but during her time it didn’t really seem to imply as there were many sith. Her own master had her and another as his right and left hand; and each of them would one day take an apprentice to maybe take their place if their apprentice proved worthy. Talon had no desire to leave her master’s side but she could hear the bitterness in Mauls’ few words. “Then I hope you find your old master one day and with your blade you prove to him how worthy you are to be the master and not him.” In other words she was wishing him luck in getting revenge one day. They were not really what you would call friends but they had come to an understanding for the moment to be on friendly terms for now; well as friendly as two sith could be

As much as Maul wanted things to happen as Talon said, that wasn't the whole case. He was burning inside for revenge, would enjoy to pour Sidious' blood into a cup and drink it. But it wasn't that easy. Maul was aware he was no match for his former master. Their last encounter was humiliating. Sidious was grinning through the entire battle, taunting Maul to no end. And when he killed his brother before his eyes, Maul knew his end was also near.
If that happened again, Maul knew it was the smartest idea to choose flight over fight. It was a battle he wouldn't win. But he didn't say any of this aloud. Even the thought alone was humiliating enough. So he gave out an unhappy expression and leaded the way to a public hangar of the village. After passing by a few ships, he finally reached to his. It was a medium sized cargo ship and nothing overly fancy. But Maul didn't have an eye for the fancy. He mostly looked into useful. And his ship was certainly useful.
There was enough space for both of them. Closing the ramp with hitting a button, Maul headed for the cockpit. He took his seat and started the engines. In the meanwhile, he didn't even ask Talon for where she wanted to be dropped at. But Maul never had any good manners to begin with.

Talon didn’t ask any more about Maul’s master, or the revenge that he would like to enact upon him. She didn’t know how he felt since she had never wanted revenge on her master; she never wanted the power like others who challenge him did; no she was content working as his right hand. She was also wise enough not to go against her master, he was in the position of power for a reason and she wasn’t about to question that.
Talon said nothing about his ship, it wasn’t extravagant looking but as long as it flew you from one planet to another then why have a ridicules looking ship; it would only attract attention something the two of them really didn’t need. After all they got enough looks just by their appearance alone. Talon followed him onto the ship and didn’t say anything when he closed the hatch door; instead she took her place in the copilot seat. He didn’t ask where she wanted to go and she didn’t tell him where she wanted to, mostly because Talon didn’t know where she should or wanted to go. Truth was she was just happy to leave that horrible planet. “So is it just you or do you have an apprentice?” Talon had to admit she found him interesting, he was skilled fighter that was for sure but to see him out on his own was strange.

Maul didn't even bother with the seat belt. He was quite confident about his piloting skills and this was going to be a flawless flight. He also had a thing against every kind of laws and rules. But he didn't even check if Talon was seated. He could already feel her through the Force.
As the ship started to float upward to get into a good clearing to take off, his golden eyes were glancing at the woman who was sitting at the co-pilot's seat. Then she had more questions, of course. Maul wasn't surprised. She seemed to be interested in him. While Maul wasn't the friendliest person at all, he found himself being able to tolerate all these questions. That certainly meant something. But maybe he saw something in common through Talon and it wasn't just the skin colour and tattoos.
"I have an apprentice." He replied, finally giving them enough speed to fly forward and out of the planet's atmosphere. "He's my brother." He added. Both brothers managed to make it to the timeslip and they had their reunion. But there were times they had to work separately, as much as Maul preferred to keep his brother by his side. He believed they were stronger, when together. It wasn't just the additional muscle strength. They also had the brother bound, which ran through their veins and the Force.
"Why were you back in that planet?" It was his turn to ask a question.

The two of them didn’t’ say anything or even look at each other while he worked the controls. It wasn’t until they were in space again, sailing on to who know where, before Maul answered her questions. He had only one apprentice apparently, but it wasn’t some unknown person he found to teach the dark side to but it was someone that was connect to him; his brother. It wasn’t uncommon for family member’s to mentor one another, it seemed from her time and back the Jedi did it all the time. Mostly it was because there had not been a lot of Jedi for the longest time; so those that could teach where family. But to see a Sith know of their family, to want to have ties with their family and even mentor a family member to follow in one’s footsteps that was strange to her. After all in time an apprentice would tried to kill their master to prove they are better, or the master would kill the apprentice to prove they are not worthy.
“That seems to be the place where this rip in time decided to cast me to.” She hated the idea that she was left somewhere without anything, even more that she had not known what had happen at first. It had taken her a little while to realize she was no longer in her time line, but in one were Sith and Jedi were not on really friendly terms but had a truce between them. It was a time of peace but Talon could feel it ending soon. “How long you been stuck in this time?” Talon had wondered if this time shift had happen all at once or was only at different points.

So Talon was tossed back in time and space. This was where she found herself in, with the welcome community of Jedi. While it could be troublesome for the weak, it was surely a good entertainment. Slaying them was always a pleasure for the Sith, as they were natural enemies from the core.
"More than a month." There came another reply. "Enough time to rebuild Shadow Collective." He brought their conversation to the mercenary group he was the founder of. Of course, he wasn't saying it to show off or killing time. Maul didn't do either. He didn't do anything without a motive.
After setting his route to hyperspace, he leaned back on his seat and turned his tattooed face at the Sith Lady. "I could use you to make it more powerful." It was an offer. He was inviting her to his organisation. Another Sith in Shadow Collective would be useful. It would make a difference to his benefit.
