Talon and Darth Maul had been working side by side recreating and killing a few Jedi for about a week or so now. At the moment they were on their way back to the small base they had set up, just gathered some item that they would need. Like always the two were setting side by side but lost in their own thoughts; they didn’t spend much time in conversation and found no need in it at times. The problem was this wasn’t’ like their normal trips, there was something wrong and as the ship started to hurdled to a planet it became clear that the two were about to find themselves once again trapped on planet they didn’t know and stranded.
Talon had to give Maul credit, as the air craft had lost control he had done his best to keep them from becoming a pancake on the planet surface, the problem was however they were not sure where they were at, as the ships guidance system had gone out a few moments before the rest of the ship showed any problems. One thing was clear however, this ship was done for there was no point in trying to find someone to fix it; not that they had the means or the time to do so anyway. No they would just have to find another hanger here and get another ship, of course they were not going to pay for it. Being a Sith didn’t mean you had to buy anything, you saw something you wanted and you took it. It didn’t matter if it belonged to anyone or not.
The problem as they were not in a very friendly planet, or really a planet that would coward in fear of the sight of them and let them do what they wanted. No soon they would find out they were in fact on a planet was run by a group of merc that didn’t take kindly to sith, or really to anyone posing a thread. With the two of them still inside already a group of men where gathering around the crash ship, ready to attack whatever came out.
“I am impressed by your skills as a pilot.” Talon sated as she removed herself from the copilot seat, once again finding herself impressed by Maul, checking to make sure her saber was latch onto her belt for that was the only item she would need coming off the air craft.

It was true Maul was a skilled pilot. Even when their ship was a flying wreck, he still managed to land it without any of them getting harmed. All the damage they took was well earned among their reputation. The Shadow Collective was getting even stronger every day. Talon's help was useful in Maul's eyes. So far she proved to be passionate and loyal to what they were doing... To Maul. Even when the Zabrak Lord didn't trust anyone easily, there were sparks of a bound forming in between two Sith.
He managed to land the ship into a smaller planet which was stranded for the most part. It was an unknown spot for the majority of people. But Maul could recognise the logo in the flag, which happened to catch his eyes; as they were crashing. It was a rival mercenary band and this was their base. No, it wasn't the most pleasant location to fall into. But they had no other option at the moment. So it was going to be a situation of survive or die. Maul was good with that. His survival skills were always the best, possibly number one in the universe.
At first glance it seemed as the odds were against both Sith. They were clearly outnumbered in this planet. But if they played things right, then they could get away with a new ship and even some more goods stocked in the cargo hold. It was too early to think of those details now. They had other things to focus on first.
Getting off the pilot's seat, Maul headed for the cargo section. There was a bunch of mercenaries already approaching at the ship to investigate the crash. If they found him here, they wouldn't be helping. After all, they would be more interested in the prize over Maul's head. So they needed to remain undetected as long as they could.
Once again Maul didn't need to warn Talon verbally. A careful glance at her way was all they needed. While their partnership was still new, they could communicate with little to no words. Thus, Maul didn't reach for his sabers latched to his belt. He was leading Talon for the secret cargo door of the ship. As much as he enjoyed a good battle, he had no gain in killing these mercs, while they were dramatically outnumbered.

Talon could feel something was right with the world around them, she could feel the anger and hate floating in the air so thick you could cut it with a knife. The problem was she didn’t know for sure where it was coming from; or really what group of people. Unlike Maul she had not seen the flag as they flew in so she knew not what enemy awaited them outside of the ship. For a moment however she thought about just busting out of the doors and taking down as many of them as she could. Maul however had a different plan, he didn’t have to say a word to her but she knew what he was thinking.
It was almost strange how easy the two of them could know or understand what the other was thinking just by a glance. One would think they had been working together for years instead of just a few weeks. So instead of pulling her saber off her belt to go out in a fight of glory, she followed Maul down into the cargo bay area. It was clear to see that Maul had taken the time to learn every part of the ship he had taken, to know it’s in and outs and in so doing he had discovered a secret place in his ship, in the form of a secret cargo hold. This of course would always be useful for a smuggler, and now it was going to be of good use to the two of them.
Already the sounds of a group of people trying to force their way onto the ship could be heard; both the voices and the tools they were trying to use to pry the door open. Talon wasn’t one to duck down and run away, but she understood the importance of picking your battles. The two of them were on a strange planet and were facing a very angry group; though very skilled in combat it wasn’t worth the risk right now. So without a glace back, or even at Maul, Talon walk through the hidden door and into the darken area to wait.

Maul grabbed his dark Sith robes in the way, slipping them on. If he was going to keep his identity hidden, it was the best option here. He pulled the hood up over his eyes, so his face couldn't be seen. After all, his face was pretty easy to remember. His red skin, tattoos and crown of horns wouldn't be mistaken by anyone, once they met him.
So Maul leaded Talon to the secret door to the cargo hold. The lid was heavy and almost invisible on the floor. Lifting it up, he motioned Talon to go first. He wasn't being a gentleman here, though. That was a term he wasn't familiar with. Instead he was making sure he got everything in control, as they made their escape from the wrecked up ship.
Once Talon sneaked out, Maul hopped off after her, closing the lid afterward; making no suspicious sounds to attract the enemy's interest. Once again he took the lead and walked around the ship to take a glance at the mercenary band. They were clueless of who the ship owner was, but they were certainly interested in raiding the ship. To their luck, there was nothing valuable inside.
There were a set of green bushes and trees ahead to which Maul pointed at. It was also the route toward the mercenary base. When the men busted their way into the ship, it was time for Maul and Talon to run for the greens. It was the best way to keep out of sight and get closer to the mouth of the lion.

In the dark shadows of the container Talon pulled her own hood up over her head, her ears listen to the sounds the mercs where making to enter the ship. If the group knew who was on board that ship would they have really dared to force themselves on it, or would they had left the ship alone; Talon couldn’t help but wonder though her question wouldn’t be answered. Maul had let her go first not because he was a gentleman but because he knew how to close the door without making a sound and how to make it disappear. Once down in the hold, Talon waited to the side allowing Maul to once again take the lead. There was no need to speak, they knew what each other was thinking.
Once outside the ship, the two of them used the shadows cast by the ship to hide themselves. From here they could see the very large group of men working on breaking into the ship they had just escaped from, it was clear they were excited about the possibility of finding something great on the ship; little did they know how disappointed they would be. Maul motion toward a group of bushes that were large enough to hide the both of them and let them be closer to the mouth of the base they had crashed into. Talon nodded and when the merc finally broke into the ship the two red skinned being made a dash for the green bushes.
The green did a good job at hiding the red and black, but it also helped that the group of people wasn’t looking at the moment for anyone that might have escaped the ship. “Well this is exciting, any idea what planet we’ve landed on.” Talon asked in a soft whisper her eyes narrowed on the ship they had just left and the men that were rushing into it.

Once they both arrived to the bushes after a brief run, Maul crouched down to get cover. His golden eyes were at his old now wrecked ship. Those men were going to find nothing. But it was a useful waste of time for both Sith. "No." Maul's answer was simple and certain to Talon's question. There was no point in lying at this point. It would be no use for them. And then there was the fact of them being honest toward each other since they first met. It was a sign of good partnership in their business. As long as they could rely on each other, then their bound would grow stronger. It was the route Maul prefered to take with Talon.
"But I don't plan to extend my stay here." He added and glanced at Talon for a moment. "We need to find transportation." So they could travel to the center of this planet and search for their hangar. There was nothing around them, except for a few small sized warehouses and a few more cottages.
Or they could walk by their feet. It would take more time and they had to be extra careful about remaining in shadows.

Just like Talon, Maul had no idea what planet they were on. This didn’t cause Talon to get angry, she would have become angry if he had lied to her about knowing only for her to find out later that he had no idea. Though it was part of their nature to lie in order to get to what they wanted, the two of them seemed to have a silent pack to not lie to each other. In truth the two of them seemed to have a lot of silent packs in order to keep this partnership working. It wasn’t a bad thing as it was clear the two of them seemed to understand each other with ease.
“I’m sure a place like this had plenty of choices to choose from.” Talon answered with a smile as she looked away from their ship toward a direction that surely had to have people living. All they needed to do was find a hanger then it was just the matter of finding the perfect craft for their needs. It didn’t have to be big or fancy, they didn’t need to live in the thing they just needed it to get from one place to another.
Like Maul, Talon was looking around to see if there was anything of use to them right now. If they didn’t take anything the two of them would have to walk to their goal; something that wouldn’t be hard considering the to of them were in perfect shape, but it would take time. The positive side of it was they would most likely go unnoticed a lot longer if they just walked, but Talon couldn’t help but want to cause a little havoc in taking something that didn’t belong to her. “Want to see if there is a speeder we can get our hands on or should we just take a nice long walk.” Talon was really good with either plan though she was really more partial to finding a speeder, after all they didn’t’ know how long it would take to get to the town, if it took to long the two would be camping out.

Maul's golden eyes were turned at one of the small warehouses. From this angle the sight wasn't too clear, but he was sure there were a few speeders up there. Thus, they needed to move on. Staying in one place wasn't going to provide them any benefit. Motioning at her to follow him, the Sith Lord headed in between the trees and bushes toward the closest warehouse. There were a few mercs around, mostly walking and chatting and drinking. Since this was their private planet, they rarely had any visitors. It was why they didn't need to be alert. It was obvious they didn't hear about the cargo ship crash-landing either.
Turning around the warehouse, they could see only one speeder. One was good enough for them. Giving Talon a nod, Maul ran for it; finally breaking it off from their hiding spot. While they weren't seen at first, one merc was able to spot both Sith in dark robes. He reached for his blaster rifle and got ready to shoot. But Maul brought a hand forward to yank that weapon off of the man's hand by a strong Force pull. Then a Force push was able to shove the man backward, causing him to hit the wall of the warehouse and knocking him out for good.
Quickly, Maul jumped onto the speeder bike and started the engine. In the meanwhile, Talon would hop behind him and wrap her arms around his waist. Then they would go.

Talon didn't’ have to wait long for her answer, to walk on an unknown planet wasn’t a very wise idea. They could easily become lost or something else could happen, not that Talon was worried about a little adventure she couldn’t help but smile as Maul’s eyes went toward the ware house, it was clear he was thinking like she was they needed transportation. No one was expecting two unknown people to sneak around their base of operations, so Talon and Maul found it easy to walk among the trees until they found what they were looking for. One speeder that was all they needed and right before them it sat there with no one to claim it. Talon nodded back at Maul and the two of them made a run for it.
As they darted out of the trees they had been spotted and some fool with a blaster decided to shoot at them. Talon eye formed a glare as she reached for her saber, but Maul had used the force to free the man of his weapon then with another quick movement he pushed the man back into a wall knocking him out. It had happen all so fast that not many people had even noticed what happen, allowing the two Sith to reach the speeder. Maul was the first one on and Talon after him, wrapping her arm around him as he started the engine.
It looked as if the two of them were going to get away, a smile forming at Talon’s face but then there was a loud sound; a crashing sound; and Talon’s world went black. With a slight moan she slowly opened her eyes, realizing something wasn’t right as she felt sharp hot pains in her arms and leg, as well as being chained down. She opened her eyes fully now and pulled at her chains, not knowing where she was but clearly understanding she had been captured.

One moment they were about to get away from the warehouses as they planned, but next moment Talon was knocked out of the speeder. Too many men were getting toward them and there was no time to wait. Giving his fallen comrade a last glance, Maul drove away. It was a good reason to believe the Sith Lord's loyalty was only for himself.
In two hours, Talon had opened her eyes in the basement of one of the warehouses. The mercenary group was certainly getting crowded in the small building. And from what it seemed, their leader had joined them to see this new bounty they put in a cage. The man was a middle aged guy with crooked teeth and a twisted smile. He walked around the captured Twi'lek with a very interested expression in his face. He was most likely thinking of the good money he could sell her for.
"Such an exotic beauty, eh?" He turned at his men and headed for the door in a group. "Maybe we should keep her for us." To his suggestion, everyone was laughing; clearly enjoying this idea.
What they didn't know was they already had another visitor in the warehouse, hanging from the ceiling of the first floor.

Talon’s head was swimming that was for sure, and she could feel the cuts, burn sand bruises she had gain from being thrown off he speeder. But the biggest insult of all was being chained and cage like an animal; her saber was no longer on her body as she sat on the cage floor leaning against the bars with her arms chained together with a tether that connected to the floor. There was no real idea that these men knew what she was; though if they had taken her saber and with the added chains they could have guess she wasn’t some weak woman. Talon should have felt anger toward Maul just leaving her here to rot, but she didn't. Maybe it was because she didn't know what his own fate was it was possible he had been captured too. But then again if he hadn't been captured he would most likely be long gone, they might have been allies but that only went for so long; after all you had to look out for yourself first. No if he did run off to save his own skin she wouldn't blame him, though she wouldn't forgive him either and it would be heck to pay if their paths crossed again.
Talon glared at the man that was walking around her right now, commenting on how much they could gain from selling her, or just keeping her for themselves as amusement. She might be Twi’lek but she wasn’t like the weak sisters of her race. She wasn’t going to be sold into slavery or become a play toy for a man, no she see them all dead first. However she only smile and looked right at him. “do you want to be the first one to come in here and see just how much fun I can be.”

It was expected from a Sith Lord to leave the other behind and move on. Their loyalties were only for themselves. It was a rare thing to have a mutual bound. Even masters would leave apprentices behind. And apprentices were meant to kill their masters at some point. It was the life of the strongest one. Weak would die. That was the law of everything. While they were not master and apprentice, Maul was here.
He now hung off from the ceiling, upside down. His golden eyes were on the only remaining man in the basement; who was walking around the cage they were keeping Talon in. He could see she was chained and bruised there. The little conversation she had with her kidnapper didn't bother Maul. He knew she was waiting for the right moment to bite, if the man laid a finger on her. But the Sith Lord wasn't planning to wait and see what was next. Instead he grabbed a hold of the pipes he was hanging from, then kicked his legs down to catch the other man in between his knees. Quickly pulling him up, Maul made sure to wrap his steel thighs around the man's throat. It took only a good firm squeeze to break the neck. Then he dropped the man down.
Maul landed beside the dead man, approaching at the cage with quick steps. He glanced at Talon's face for a moment, then he was slicing at the lock with one side of his saberstaff. Afterward he grabbed at the chains around Talon's wrists and pulled her out of the cage.

Talon didn’t see Maul hiding in the ceiling, after all she wasn’t looking for him. She wasn’t expecting him to come back for her, after all she wouldn’t have come back for him if he had been captured. They had been allies that was true but that didn’t mean they were loyal to each other. No in their world it was the strong that survived and if you were weak enough to get capture then you deserved to die; or find your own way out and learn a lesson not to get caught again. Of course there were some cases of master going back for their appearances but those were very few and far in-between.
The man drew close as if he was going to open he cage and take her up on the offer to get closer; of course he would be dead before too long if he laid one finger on her. She didn’t need her hands or her saber to kill him that was for sure. The man didn’t even reach the cage however before a pair of legs appeared from above him and lifted the man into the air; who came crashing down dead a moment later and joined by Maul. Talon raised her brow slightly as he took his saber and cut the cage open then gripped her by her chains and pulled her out of the cage. She didn’t fight as she stood up, and as he pulled her out she used the force to summon her saber. She didn’t’ say thank you, that wasn’t’ a phrased they used but she had to admit she was glad to see him and would repay him later. They first needed to secure what they wanted and get out before other men decided to show up. So even though she was in a deal of pain she pushed her mind passed in and followed Maul.
