ELLIE REM
The (Mis)Adventurous Misfit
Full Name: Ellie Rem
Gender: Female
Species: Human (Mandalorian)
Age: 24
Faction: Outlaw
Class: Bounty Hunter
Rank: Self-Employed
Face Claim: Meghan Ory
OC or Canon: Original
APPEARANCE
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 166 lbs
Eyes: Green-grey
Hair: Brown
Overall Appearance: Ellie is tall and athletic, with broad shoulders and long legs. She's well toned from years of heavy physical training, although still feminine to a point. Her facial features are sharp, with bright green eyes and a cheeky smile; she has a surprising resemblance to her cousin Zett. She walks with a cocky stride, with a swing in her leg almost like a man's. Usually she's found wearing her Mandalorian armor. She also claims to have a tattoo of the Mandalorian crest, but generally doesn't tell anyone where it is. As is common with Mandalorians, Ellie has a lot of scars on her body from one scuffle or another, whether it was the ending result of her misadventures or from a fight.
PERSONALITY
Much like Zett, Ellie is not very Mandalorian in personality. The first thing one would say about her is "quirky." She's friendly, likes making puns and jokes (which are groan worthy), and sometimes rambles without realizing people probably aren't listening to her anymore. She's willing to try almost anything just to sate her curiosity, as her childhood shenanigans clearly show. Despite her somewhat softer approach, she's still Mandalorian. She enjoys a good fight and values strength of character and arm in a person. Ellie may be a little too blunt for her own good, and has a habit of blurting things out.
Ellie is open and outgoing, but can sometimes be considered annoying because she just doesn't seem to have an off button. She just keeps going non-stop, which could be tiring for anyone else involved. She always has boundless energy, almost like a young child, and her maturity level is also a little low at times. Still, she's clever and intelligent, if a little slow on picking up on things sometimes. She has a horrible memory, and can forget important details due to distractions. Her attention span seldomly remains focused on one thing for long.
BACKGROUND
Planet Origin: Tatooine
Starting Planet: Kyle's Space Station
Era Origin: Current
History: Ellie never knew her father. Her earliest memories go back to when it was just her and her mother, but when she was four years old they went on a trip to visit her aunt and uncle on Tatooine. There was a battle--Ellie can't even remember why--and her mother was killed in it. She arrived on the desert world lost and confused and sobbing for her mother, which was how Caleb Rem found her. He was furious to hear his sister had been killed and took his niece in under his wing, as she had no family left aside from him. She was raised and treated like she was their own child, and she and her cousin Zett were more like brother and sister. They bickered all the time but also stood up for each other.
Ellie didn't quite hit it off with Zett's friend Sarah like he had, but she and Kyle had an odd too much in trouble and were usually the reason they got into so much trouble. When on her own, Ellie was even more troublesome. She was too curious and would often cause mischief just to entertain herself. One one occasion she had accidentally fell in a tank full of food kept for Hebba the Hutt while fishing for them--it was then she learned she couldn't swim. Kyle got her out of that one. On another occasion she would release a hoard of gizka into the Hutt's cantina. Despite her misadventures and dangerous curiosity, she somehow made it through her early childhood. During that time the Rems were sent to Kashyyyk, and they brought Ellie along with them. She didn't enjoy it as much as she had Tatooine, as the wookiees there were a little too good at catching her when she was up to no good.
Sometime into their time, Ellie would witness Zett being banished from the village. She was furious and tried to convince her aunt and uncle to let him stay. Of course they tried, but ultimately it was not their decision and Zett was forced to leave. Ellie was angry at Caleb and Lana for letting it happen, and she would often sneak off with food and other things (like a pazaac deck) to rendezvous with Zett at a previously planned meeting point. Three years happened like this, and Ellie offered to join him in his exile. She was convinced not to, though it was on a day she was out looking for him that the village was bombed. She rushed back to try and help, but was too late. She tried to find Zett in the chaos, but a group of mercenaries decided they would rather keep her than kill her. She put up a good fight, but a fifteen year old girl against three armed and hardened mercenaries was no use. She was taken in to be trained.
It started off miserably. They didn't even give her a chance to mourn her aunt and uncle dying. She also thought Zett had been killed in the crossfire. She was forced through rigorous training in the mercenary company, and was often left to fend for herself against bullies and anyone else who tried to take advantage of her. It was not the happiest existence, though she somehow retained her good humored personality throughout. It was her way of coping. By the age of 19 she had been turned into a living weapon, and was sent out on missions. Despite her capabilities, Ellie proved to be incredibly clumsy and absentminded, and much like in her childhood her curiosity got her into several unusual situations. She took them all with good grace and was quite capable at laughing everything off despite the harsh consequences from the company she served. A few years later she finally had the opportunity to escape and took it, fleeing out into the galaxy. She knew they would look for her, but managed to evade the bounty hunters for three months before sneaking onto a ship... only to find it captained by an old friend. Kyle was as glad to see her as she was to see him, and he let her join in on his operations until she could get on her feet enough to be her own employer. She has since then been living on his station and doing the odd job.
