The Coruscant of this time was very different from the one that Allana had grown up on. It wasn't as polished as she remembered and the city planet just felt different. Perhaps that had something to do with the circumstances under which Allana had been taken to the planet. Since coming through the time slip, Allana had spent a great deal of time on the pirate station owned by Kyle. That had all ended when her father had raided the station and taken her back with him. The entire thing was less of a willing reunion and more of a kidnapping. Or that's how Allana had seen it. Still, she attempted to make the best of a situation. She could tell that her father wanted to train her in the ways of the Force and statecraft. It was only at Allana's insistence that he agreed to let her seek out another mentor when it came to politics. As luck would have it there was another relative in the senate Allana could turn to. It was only by pestering a secratary that Allana was able to get a meeting with her soon to be great-grand mother, Padme Amidala of Naboo. And the stars aligned when Allana found out that Padme was looking for an aid as well. Which was how she found herself sitting outside of the senator's office, waiting. She eyed the door and the hallway, waiting for her to arrive. Allana felt anxious and excited about meeting Padme, it wasn't every day that one met their great grandmother, now was it? The young woman had even gotten dressed up for the occasion. Jacen had gotten his daughter all sorts of things in an effort to win her over and make her presentable as a senator's daughter but most of the time she preferred to wear whatever was comfortable. Today she wore a dress vaguely reminiscent of traditional Hapen garb. The light blue fabric was soft against her skin and flowed when she moved. Beauty was highly important to Hapean culture and despite not growing up there Allana felt like she needed to look her best. All morning she had fussed with her reddish-gold hair until she had gotten it into a braid that twisted over to the right and draped over her shoulder. Allana recalled her mother wearing her hair like this, though it was probably a Dathomir tradition. She burshed her hand over the hilt of her lightsaber that rested on her belt. To the untrained eye it would appear to be a decorative rancor tooth and Allana wondered if Padme would know what it was. When Allana saw Padme approaching she instantly stood. Something hard caught in her throat that she desperately tried to swallow. Her grandmother always told her that Padme had been beautiful but seeing her in person knocked the wind out of Allana. There was so much of her grandmother and Jaina in her and it made her happy. It was almost like being with her family again. Luckily, before Padme got too close Allana regained composure. The teenager shot the senator a lopsided grin that had been passed down from her father. She stood tall and folded her hands in front of her in as graceful of a fashion as she could manage. "Senator Amidala," her voice barely masked her excitement. "It's an honor to meet you my name is Allana Djo Solo..." Allana wanted to continue to word vomit all over Padme but held back. It had taken Padma a little time to convince Anakin to let her once again take her place on Coruscant as a senator; though Nauboo wasn’t’ really discovered at the time. The two of them wanted to start a life together, to be husband and wife like they had not been able to while in their own time line; while they waited to return. However it wasn’t like they had hoped, Anakin was already called up to help the Jedi most of the time, so Padma found herself with nothing to do; until the senate had asked for her help. Now it seemed as life was back to how it was in their own time, both of them working hard to help the galaxy in the ways they knew how.
The morning had been busy with a few meetings as well as paper work, Padma was working on getting caught up with everything that was going on in the republic. At times she felt as if she was almost drowning in all the information that was given to her; and that was when she decided she needed a little extra help. She had a few staff members but she needed and aid to help keep her schedule flowing and manage a few other things around the office she worked in.
There had been a few interviews, but this one application seemed to capture Padme’s attention. For one she was the daughter of a well known senator here, though Padma had yet to meet with Jacen Solo; though she had talked with his aid a few times and there was a plan to meet with him as there was an item that seemed to interest the both of them. But there was also the fact that she was only 15 years old; granted Padma had been younger when she was voted as queen of Nauboo but it wasn’t very common to see.
Padma was wearing a very full dress and her brown hair was piled high on her head, there was no mistaking she was a woman of importance. “Miss Solo a pleasure, please set we’ll talk out here.” Padma took an arm chair and sat down across from Allana. “So tell me why are you interesting in being my aid, why not work for your father.”

As Padme neared Allana felt her excitement overcome her nerves. It was all she could do to keep from bouncing on her feet. She really was beautiful, as beautiful as Leia had been. Her eyes were a warm brown color just like her grandmother and father. They made her feel at home, even so far away from them. It was then she knew that she had to get the position. In all the chaos that was her father's life standing beside her great grandmother made her feel calm. Oh, how Allana wanted to hug her the woman! She didn't do this, though. It wouldn't be proper and explaining their relation would probably only make things awkward. Instead, she smiled again, and held the senator's gaze with confidence.
“Miss Solo a pleasure, please set we’ll talk out here.” Even her voice sounded farmiliar. Quickly Allana took her seat once more, crossing her legs at the ankles. It was all she could do to keep her face from breaking into a wide grin. C'mon, Allana calm down! She took a deep breath and resumed her calm but happy expression. “So tell me why are you interesting in being my aid, why not work for your father.” The mention of her father made Allana come back down a little. She blinked as she tried to think of a way to explain her situation. It probably wasn't wise to lead with, "my father is a Sith Lord and he's holding me here against my will and I was hoping to get some time away from him." No, that wasn't a good way to start things off. "Well, to be honest he offered me an internship with him," she said sheepishly. "I turned him down because I think you'd make a better employer than my father. He...sometimes it's best to have someone more objective teach you and I am not sure he can do that." She purposefully kept the reason for this vague and hoped that Padme wouldn't pry. To divert from that line of questioning she quickly expanded.
"As you probably know my father and I came through the time slip-- like you did, only we're from the future of your original time if that makes sense. And in that future my mother is the Queen Mother of Hapes which means that one day I will be too. Now, I love my father and I'm sure he's a fine senator but he's never been a queen but you have. I had hoped that maybe as your aid I could learn from you about that."

Padme could see that Allana was nervous; or that was what she counted it as. After all there was no way of knowing that she was in fact facing her great granddaughter; how could she since she didn’t even know that she wouldn’t see her own children grow up. There was so much about her future that Padme didn’t know about, and though she could now have the chance to learn Anakin had warned her about doing that. “There is no reason to be so nervous,” Padme said with a warm smile before Allana could answer any of her questions.
When Alllana finally did speak she was quickly telling Padme that her father had in fact offered her a chance to learn at his side a great off but as the young girl went on to tell Padme about who she was and what would one day be expected of her the young senator could see where Allana was coming from. Padme gave another warm smile at the young girl, so in her timeline she was going to become queen and apparently she had learned about Padme to know that Padme had once been a young queen herself. Padme could understand fully now why this young girl would want to study beside her, she wanted help to become a good ruler one day not to mention Allana was a teenager and wanted out of the shadow of her father. Padme didn’t need to ask more questions about her not working for her father, Allana had done well to explain that and Padme could fully understand the young girl’s reasons.
“If I hire you as my aid Miss Solo, what makes you think you would be the best person to hire then the others I have applying for this job.” It was a stander question, one that Padme gave to hear what the person thought about their skills and how they could be of use to Padme and her job in the senate.

Padme caught onto Allana's nervousness. It was hard for Allana to conceal her excitement or nervousness when it came to non-Jedi related situations. Through the Force she could do just about anything. But without it she wore her emotions on her sleeve. Getting to meet the woman that started the political tradition in the Skywalker-Solo family was exciting. Her words of comfort reminded Allana so much of her grandmother, Leia. Leia had been her primary caretaker for most of her life and being so far away from her now hurt. Though, in the senator she could see parts of Leia. Allana took a deep breath and relaxed, pushing her excitement aside. While Allana didn't probe into Padme's mind, she sensed that the woman understood her desire to work with her rather than her father. For this she was grateful, grateful that no further explanation would be required. As much as Allana wanted to announce their familial connection she knew that it would only cause a problem. Judging by the age Padme was now, she hadn't had Luke or Leia yet so some random teenager running up and calling her great-grandma might be a little startling. Perhaps one day Allana could tell her-- but not today.
Padme quickly moved on to the next question in the interview. “If I hire you as my aid Miss Solo, what makes you think you would be the best person to hire then the others I have applying for this job.” Allana perked up again, sitting straight and tall while holding Padme's gaze. Old excitement threatened to take over again as she stared into her grandmother's eyes. She suppressed it and went on in a more formal way. If she wanted the job she needed to have a stellar interview. "I can't speak for the qualifications of the other applicants, but I actually do have some experience working for a senator. It's a bit of a long story," Allana uttered the understatement of the century, "but the short version is that I was mostly raised by my grandmother and she was a senator for the New Republic and often she'd bring me with her on official business. So, I guess you can say I have experience being an aid." Allana wanted to continue but hesitated a moment. She supposed she could elaborate without giving too much away. "I've heard that you're a bit more active than most senators, my grandmother was like that too. If there was a problem she'd rush to the scene. Sometimes she brought me with her-- sometimes not but that is all to say that I'm not new to that kind of thing." She added a wide lopsided grin. If only Padme knew some of the crazy things that her grandmother and mother had done and some of the crazy things she had read that Padme had done. "I've also been trained as a Jedi," Allana interrupted her own thought, "uh-- it's a different time where I'm from, people can do all sorts of things. Anyway...that is to say that I imagine most of your applicants don't have the Force on their side."

Padme didn’t know what it was about this girl that reminded her a lot about herself when she was younger. Maybe it was due to the fact that this young girl was innocent but yet Padme could tell that she was touched with sadness and pain in her life to. That of course wasn’t always pleasant but it gave a person experience and new knowledge on how to handle things. To think Padme’s job was all just setting around in meetings or lunches was a foolish thing to think or believe. Padme had faced death a few time in the face and barely walked away at times. It’s what allowed her to connect with the people she was serving however, since they too faced hard times. As her aid Allana would also have to face any hard times that might come. Granted Padme most likely wouldn’t take her everywhere, if she was to travel, but there was always something happening in the office that gave way to enough excitement.
The young girl really perked up when Padme asked her what qualified her to become her aid. All too quickly she was able to answer the question and Padme was finding herself once again impress by the young lady. She had worked beside her mother and she had been trained as Jedi as well; clearly she was of a time long before Padme considering she was allowed to train as a future leader and a Jedi. Where in Padme’s time a Jedi wasn’t even allowed to love. “I have had many run in with Jedi and respect them greatly” She didn’t added that her husband was in fact a Jedi; after all she was still not us to being out about it. Allana was right to have a aid that was trained in the force would be a good thing. “If I hire you would you wish to still live with your father or would you wish to live in the apartment with my other aid.”

Allana could sense that Padme was pleased with her answers. This made the young woman smile even more. What was even more amusing her response to Allana saying that she was a Jedi. “I have had many run in with Jedi and respect them greatly” Oh, I bet you have. It was all Allana could do to not chuckle at her own joke. She knew full well that her great grand father, Padme's husband, was Anakin Skywalker-- a Jedi turned Sith. She was anxious to meet him as well and hoped that if given the position she'd have that opportunity. There was so much that she wanted to know about the two of them and now she was getting the opportunity to not only learn it but actually meet them. Allana kept her composure, even though she wanted to burst out laughing. Both of them had secrets but only one of them knew what the others was. Ah, the benefits of being from the future.
“If I hire you would you wish to still live with your father or would you wish to live in the apartment with my other aid.” Allana wanted desperately to chose the later. Sharing an apartment with another aid sounded like a great deal of fun. She'd never had a roommate before but Allana imagined it was something like an extended sleepover. The independence of living away from her family was highly appealing. However, she knew that her father would have none of it. He was not interested in letting her go any time soon. Part of the deal she had made to save Kyle and his crew from death at the hands of the Sith Lord was that she would remain at his side. If she tried to move out she was sure he'd pull her support of being Padme's aid and then where would she be? After a moment of thought, her excitement dimmed slightly and she put up a forced smile. "I think my father would want me to remain with him," she told her sheepishly though quickly added. "That wouldn't change me dedication to you, though. I'd still be here on time and everything. It's just--- we were separated a long time and he's a bit...clingy."
