Case over case and Brody forgot how the time passed in recent weeks. He always had many things in his hands at once, he rarely found personal time for himself. But he was never a fan of sitting back and relaxing in the first place. To work was his medicine.
The distress call was coming from the depth of the space this time. The message was obviously old and broken. But that didn't change his mind about making a visit there. There was something really interesting and unusual about the call. While he couldn't understand a word of it, something was calling him there. Of course, that was good enough for Brody.
He equipped his ship with a bit of food and drink stock. Then he was ready to go. Weapons were not really his thing, but he still kept a stun blaster in his shuttle. He didn't even carry it on himself, believing there was always a way out of things without getting physical or violent. Of course, Brody chose to carry his datapad and a few scanners on him. He went through those scanners like nothing else. But mechanical things were bound to be broken sooner or later, so he didn't pity the loss. There was no emotional connection either. Brody left that for his beloved datapad. He had the same thing since he was seventeen. Of course, he got upgrades for it, but it was still the same thing.
Where the map took him was interesting in his opinion. It was the planet of Wookies, Kashyyyk. Brody liked Wookies. They were honest and tall and had pretty fur.
Brody stuffed his pockets with a few more scanners and decided to make a jump down since there was no clearing to land his ship. But it could go back in the orbit to wait for his order. Making his way down there wasn't too difficult, though. He just needed some rope and some anti*gravity equipment. Once his feet connected the ground, he pulled out a red and shiny apple from his coat pocket. Everything was too green and smelling fresh. But he was determined to find the very source of the sender of the message, without getting too side-tracked that was. His shoes were rather dusty, as he stepped over some thick tree roots. After tossing the apple up and down in his left hand, he started the scanner in his right. First thing he was going to check was any life activity around him. But he was aware he was close to Rwookrrorro.

This deep into the forest floor of Kashyyyk there was no natural light. The towering trees cut it off and absorbed it to the point it might as well be night at all hours on the forest floor of the world. Jareth Sharl had landed several hours ago on his own this time. Recently he had traveled around a great deal with the rest of his companions, especially his dear Quinn. However in this instance he had been tasked by Revan to search for the Star Forge map on Kashyyyk on his own. No time could be wasted, and so splitting him up to deal with one that should have been simple made a great deal of sense.
Jareth didn't want to draw much attention to himself of course, but there was little he could do in this case really. The Wookies weren't fond of off worlders, but it wasn't really their choice who they let on their home wrold anymore with Cyrca owning the space port. Jareth didn't care either way. He paid the docking fee and found his way outside of the village of Rwookrrorro. The basket lift was open for use to the Wookies only, but Jareth had no problem working his way past the guard with one of his many illusions, allowing him to reach the ground floor with it.
It had still been day light in the upper portion of the planet, but down here no one could tell. He stepped around freely. Life was everywhere, and in such strong amounts that it was physically refreshing. Jareth stopped to take the a deep breath, and in that moment he noticed something else in the air. There was life somewhere near by... not a Wookie or any other kind of native to the world. It seemed human. It was faint and well away from Jareth's location, but he took note of it. He would rather no one find out he was looking for the Star Map if he had the choice. He spun his pike in his fingers for a moment before he set it on his back and continued to travel deeper into the forest's over growth....

As his scanner was activated, it was already searching the whole area around him. Many beep noises were coming out from the small device, confirming of the life in the forest. Most of them were common animals, birds and small rodents. Thankfully, there was no large and aggressive beasts. But in this thick woods, he wasn't expecting to face any.
After taking a loud and juicy bite from his red apple, Brody turned around with his eyes practically glued on the scanner's screen. Chewing the delicious fruit, Brody started to wave his scanner around in order to catch the certain signal he was here for. The beeping became even louder now, scaring off some birds. But all the noise he was causing was pulling the attention of some big bugs, none the less. They were now flying around Brody and starting to block the signal.
"No, no, no..." He frowned with disappointment and waved his hand toward them to make them go away. "Shoo! Shoo!" But the wave of the sugary apple attracted more bug interest. It took some fast running around the trees to ditch the flying fiends. He didn't even let go of his precious apple, insisting it was his. Then Brody paused all seriously like nothing happened. He was now getting better signal from his scanner, too. He had set it up for tracking the message's source.
He took another big bite from his apple and decided to climb a tree to get the best signal. All these massive trees were jamming the frequency. So he stuffed his scanner to his inner pocket and bit his apple. This way his both hands were free. Choosing himself a very large body tree with many branches to hold onto, Brody started to climb upward. He wasn't inexperienced, but his cloths and shoes were not too suitable for this task either. Still, he continued his way up with perfect determination. He almost slipped a few times, but was able to catch himself each time. When the ground was too far away now, Brody kept his eyes up. It wasn't a good feeling to look down. And it wouldn't be the best thing to fall down from this height.
Once the branches got thicker to support his full weight, Brody stood over one and rested his back against the body of the tree. His scanner was getting a clearer signal now, pointing him the perfect direction of where he needed to go. Giving himself a satisfied smile, Brody took his time up on the tree to finish his apple. He chewed slowly, enjoying the view and the fresh air. But then his eyes caught something not far away. It was an interesting coincidence, he had to admit. It had to be some sort of sign.
Tossing the remains of the eaten apple away, Brody now started to walk carefully on the branch; heading for the far edge. It was stuck in between a few tight branches and mostly covered in leaves. When he was finally close enough, he stretched an arm toward it, his fingertips touched the open hat of an umbrella. It took some serious struggling to free the lost item from the tree prison it had. When it was finally in his hands, Brody seemed fascinated. He closed it down and opened it; examining every inch. The black and simple umbrella looked quite steady and almost new. It reminded him of his old one. Yet this one was missing a certain thing, of course. But feeling sentimental about finding it here in this planet, Brody decided to keep it with him.

The deeper into the forest Jareth traveled, the more he could feel the presence in the force. Clearly whoever it was wasn't force sensitive, this Jareth could tell form this distance, but he also suspected whoever it was wouldn't cause trouble for him; at least at the moment the interesting man walked a different path then that of Jareth who sought only the map to the Star Forge for Revan's sake. He sighed and continued forward into the jungle area, focusing his senses in the area around him in hopes of finding the Star Map that had such a strong connection to the force. Perhaps the item would draw him.
Soon enough he found this assumption was a good one, able to connect to the item from afar. It was still a long way from him and would be quite the time consuming trek, but Jareth didn't mind it. It gave him time to clear his head and think... him being alone without distractions was often the best time for something like that after all. In the quiet he was able to fall into a light enough meditation that he could clear his mind, consider things that weigh on his mind and plan plots for the future, all while he continued to walk carefully down the path that could barely be seen down here. In this state of mind was when he noticed something else... another very faint life form somewhere. Perhaps someone had been hurt and was dying. Either way it was on his path to the map.
He paused then, stopping as he stood on a fallen tree trunk. He glanced around himself, hearing the birds chirping near by and other various creatures scurrying about. None of them were dangerous, so they were not of his concern. What he did focus on was the man that he had sensed earlier. It seemed that he was following this being who had left the distress call. Interesting to be sure, but it seemed if Jareth followed his curiosity their paths would meet after all. At first he considered leaving the weak being alone, but after a moment he thought better of it. After all if this ship crash had been seeking the Star Map, they might have posed a threat to Revan and the company, which would mean Jareth and the others would have to stop them before they found the Star Forge.
After a moment of contemplation he decided to follow his instincts and forego his search for the Star Map momentarily in order to check on the faint force signature that drew him away from it. After a short trek he came across the downed ship... smoke billowing into the air from it. Clearly it was still fresh, and the Wookie trackers hadn't been able to find it yet...

Brody tossed the umbrella up in a very skilled way, he caught it in the last moment; proving how good his reflexes were. Though, his moment of joy and cockiness was over, when he slipped on the thick branch and fell off from where he was walking on. The umbrella was already making a dive down to the ground, but his arms were able to catch the branch. His long legs were dangling down with the gravity, stretched away from each other. Giving a loud sigh, Brody looked down and didn't appreciate the distance to the ground. It wasn't a good idea to fall from here. So he brought his legs up to cling to the branch like a monkey.
After ten minutes of struggling and climbing down in weird positions, Brody managed to make it to the ground. The first thing he did was, of course, not to kiss the ground. He made it for his umbrella instead and checked out if it was broken. To his luck, everything was in one piece. A good excuse to grin to himself.
Now he knew where he was heading for the distress call's source. His scanner in his hand and the umbrella tucked under his armpit, Brody quickened his steps. He couldn't wait further. As he approached closer to the very source, his scanner started to catch new signals. A crashed ship was the thing he was actually looking for. But then there was the sign of a human being. A humanoid, most likely. Was it the person who sent the signal away? Brody was about to find out.
His quick steps turned into a running pace. He didn't really bring any medical kit on him, but he could help this person back to safety and hopefully to a hospital. It wasn't long before he made it to the crashlanding area. The smoke was heatedly rising from the ship and it seemed to take a lot of damage. While his scanner showed the presence of a person in the ship, Brody could also detect a second person in the area. Soon his eyes could take the sight of this second person, after he tried to open the door. But it was stuck.
"Oi! You there!" He called out for the other man, who didn't look any injured. He obviously wasn't even a passenger of this crashed ship. "Help me!" The circuit of the door system was down and he just needed to force his way out of this.

Jareth had arrived at the downed shuttle just before the other mysterious visitor to the world was. Without cloaking his presence the man had had no problem spotting the man who stood out quite a lot from the natives of the Wookie world of Kashyyyk. It didn't phase him though, and he arched his brow a little as he was watching the tall lanky looking man explore the shuttle for some kind of life.
The Dark Jedi didn't move as he chose it was better for him to watch from afar. His appearance here was already quite a lot more then the other man was probably expecting, and he wouldn't be surprised if there were already questions being asked about who Jareth was and if he had anything to do with the crashing Shuttle. If he played his cards right he might be able to let the man do all the hard work for him and thus determine of this shuttle had anything to do with the Star Forge. If so, then the surviving pilot and the man who had discovered the crash would both be killed and Jareth would continue on as if nothing happened, find the map and return to Revan. If on the other hand, neither of them knew of the map, things could go on without bloodshed.
In addition he wanted to know if there was a group or organization behind this ship's mission... something that would help him determine if there was anyone else he had to destroy in relation to the Star Forge in order to keep it's secret to themselves. Jareth didn't even make a sound, and honestly almost thought he had been forgotten when the man in well fitting clothes went to the heroic rescue of the ship... only to be stopped by the unyielding door.
It was then though that the man was calling specifically to Jareth to get the door open. He sighed heavily and audibly but nodded, walking from his standing point over to the crashed ship, using the pike like a lazy walking stick before he stopped by the door the man was having so much trouble with. "Back, back back." He snapped lazily with a sigh, using his hands to make a shoeing motion at the strange man. Once both men were a couple of feet away, Jareth used his free hand not clutching his saber pike to reach out and clutch the door with the force, and swiftly yank it off it's hinges. He ducked his head as the door went flying, not really caring where it landed.
He stepped back a little, smirking a bit as he gestured with his hand for the other man to enter ahead of him, bowing extravagantly in the process.

When Brody asked the other man for help, he was expecting him to come over and give a hand to force the door open. But things didn't go in the way Brody guessed. At first, he was giving an over-dramatic sigh; which would compete with Brody's expressions. Then he was telling Brody to move away. The man seemed rather skinny to have so much muscle power. But in the end, he didn't even use his hands.
Arching his weird brows at the gesture, Brody did as he was told and stepped away. But his eyes were on this guy carefully now, curious of what he was about to perform. One could say it was pure magic. But Brody was aware the other man was a Force user. His telekinesis was impressive and nicely trained. As he ripped the door open without laying a finger on, Brody was nodding approvingly. His expression didn't hide the facet he was impressed.
"Bravo!" He shouted and clapped twice, when the man gave a flowery bow. "That was very very very cool." He said with a big grin, but then noticed he was forgetting something. Once he remembered the potential injured person in the shuttle, his cheerful expression dropped right away. He quickly turned back to the ship and ran inside in order to find all the passengers.
The power of the ship was flickering and smoke was already filling inside. It didn't take much to make it into the cockpit and find a rather dizzy looking man there. He didn't seem to have any visible injuries, which the safety belt saved his life. This was why it was always good to fasten it. "Are you alright there?" Brody asked and approached at the man, checking his pupils and pulse before unfastening the seat. The man was still a bit shocked, but he could talk. He nodded and asked for some water. Before water, Brody decided he needed fresh air. And for that, he helped the man walk out of the ship. It wasn't that difficult, once he got the other man's arm thrown over his shoulder.
Once they finally made it out of the smoking ship, Brody helped the man to a tree and checked out for his new friend to see if he was still around.

It seemed Jareth's extravagance was met with applause by the man he had just aided with the rescue attempts. In Jareth's opinion such applause was ill timed and premature. After all he hadn't decided if he was going to let these two live yet, and besides that it wasn't even apparent if the pilot in the ship would be surviving the crash himself; with or without Jareth's aid. It seemed as the other man remembered this though he was quickly diving into the shuttle and scrambling to rescue the man. Jareth was sure to remain well out of the way as he let the hero deal with this.
He was leaning against the ships haul as he let the man rescue the ship's pilot, and then drag him outside and lean him against a tree to get some air. Jareth remained silent the entire time, just observing the whole situation before he peeked into the ship for a moment, trying to get an idea where it had come from and if it seemed to be on a job for the Star Map. Without seeing anything that struck him as being in search for the map he just turned his attention back to the two men again, the first of the two seeming to look for him again to make sure Jareth hadn't wandered off. Jareth simply waved at the man from across the small clearing in order to show he was still hanging around.
"Oh trust me my friend, i'm going no where." Jareth commented with a small grin of his own on his face, striding over then to the man who was leaning against the tree. It was very important to him to know if he was here for the Star Forge.. and if do, then he would go ahead and take all the pain away from the man...

Brody didn't smile back at the Force user, when he made it clear he was sticking around. He was a good help, indeed and Brody felt like he could rely him for further help. He wasn't an idiot, but he had a leaning for believing in the good of people easily.
Turning back at the pilot they just saved, Brody produced a pen like device from his inner pocket and brought it close to the pilot's one eye. A light was on the tip, so it was actually a medical check to see how the man was doing. His eyes seemed to respond well to the light and Brody gave him a pat on the shoulder. "Good. very good. You're alright." Giving a satisfied grin to the pilot, Brody shot up tall on his feet and now turned at his new buddy. The same procedure was done, as he brought the light close to the other's one eye; then shifting his own eyes to look clear. It wasn't the same check, though. While Brody was curious about the iris contractions of the pilot, he was only checking the iris colour of this Force user. He knew there was a certain eye colour difference in between Jedi and Sith. While Jedi didn't have a visible change, dark Force tended to bring a golden shade to their irises. It wasn't a hundred percent true and could be misleading. Yet he still had to check.
Perhaps, doing such a sudden gesture wasn't appreciated by everyone, but Brody was generally curious and he couldn't seem to help himself with that. It was why his actions brought trouble to him many times. But he wasn't complaining about that. Some adrenaline was not that bad.
"So let's see..." He said, now pointing the light to the other man's opposite eye. "Blue and green. A beautiful colour mix." He said, not giving up on staring at those eyes more with the hope of seeing a sudden change. "A Jedi, aren't we?" Brody asked cheerfully.

Jareth continued to stand and watch from afar for the moment as Brody went to examine the man who had been in the shuttle only moments before. Silently he watched, Jareth tilting his head a little as he waited for some kind of a diagnosis. Some kind of a medical man then? A Doctor Perhaps? "Doctor Who?" He wondered to himself as he narrowed his eyes for a moment. After a moment though those thoughts were cut short as the man rushed up to him and shone the same light into Jareth's eyes. He jerked his head back a little, but the man did it anyway, leaving Jareth to blink the spots out of his vision now. He was asked then if he was a Jedi, and Jareth arched his brow a bit. Perhaps it was something that could play in his favor though, so he made no move to correct the man. "Aye..." He commented, rubbing at his eyes with his index finger and thumb of his left hand, his right hand still holding his pike behind his back. "And you my friend? Who exactly are you?" He asked tilting his head a little. "Some sort of a doctor?" He added, but started to walk forwards to the pilot who was leaning heavily on the tree... still wanting to make sure neither of these men were here for the Star Forge before he pressed on. ((O.O.C --- A little on the short side, but i hope the DW reference makes up for it ))

When his question of being a Jedi was confirmed, Brody patted the other man's shoulder. Most of the times, he seemed to ignore any kind of personal space. There were unspoken rules about it, which Brody never had a full grip on. In the end, they were worthless rules for him. But it made Brody even a stranger man in a crowd.
"How cool is that?" He asked without expecting an answer. "Peacekeeper of the universe. Hero with a lightsaber. Very cool!" Brody cheered up for the man, not showing any suspicion; even if he thought it could be a Sith. But that mattered not in this situation. He was a helpful one none the less and that was a good thing.
To the Jedi's question, Brody chuckled and looked almost proud. This was a question he was asked often enough. Now he was plain enjoying it. But then he had to give a more truthful answer. "An adventurer... of sorts." Brody wasn't sure what category he could choose. But it worked... until he took his position back in the Intelligence. Then he wouldn't be allowed to speak about what he was doing at all. Everything he did was classified.
His attention was turned back at the dizzy pilot again. "Let's take you to a medical unit, my friend." He said and wanted to help the man up on his feet. But the pilot was shaking his head and mumbling something about a mission. Curious, Brody kneeled down and brought his ear closer. "What mission can be more important than your health?" He asked and the pilot gave him a datapad with a map in it.
"Find it for me." The man whispered in between coughing and Brody arched his brows, now examining the map.
"And what will I be searching for?" He asked, still thinking he needed to carry this man to a place they could take care of him. But the pilot was stubborn.
"A map." He said, resting his head against the tree.
"So this is a map... of a map." Brody repeated, finding the fact amusing. Though, he didn't laugh aloud. He was saving that for later. Rising up on his feet, he turned at the Jedi. "Care to join me for an adventure? Or are you too busy with your Jedi things?"

He looked to the man for a moment longer, arching his brows a bit as he seemed to be overly excited about Jareth indeed being a Jedi. Or at least that is what he told the eccentric man. He could play along though for now without any issue. After all at one time in another life Jareth had been a Jedi, and he knew their ways. Sometimes he still believed in some of their ways and followed some of the traditions he at one time picked up. It might leave a bitter taste in his mouth for a time; but he believed it wouldn't be too hard for him to just grin and bear it, letting the man believe he was a Jedi after all. With a small smile and a nod he returned the excited man and let him continue on.
The 'Adventurer' turned back to the injured man then and began trying to help him; but much to both of their surprises he seemed to resent any kind of help. Jareth stood back; but he had stepped a little closer all the same just to be within ear shot of the conversation. The more the two of them talked though, the worse Jareth's situation was beginning to look. It seemed the man in question was indeed looking for the Map to the Star Forge too, and Jareth was finding his interest peeked. The man was so near to death Jareth didn't need to worry about ending his life for him; but whoever he worked for on the other hand was a different story entirely.
And of course now this mystery man was involved too. When he was asked about following to find the man, Jareth nodded lightly... still thinking it was best if he let him believe he was a Jedi for the time being. All the better for him to get information. "Coincidentally? I am also looking for this map." Jareth spoke matter of factly. "And uh... when we find this Map... who are we to take it to?" Jareth asked, hoping to get that information from the man before they left him...

Brody pulled out a scanner from his jacket's inner pocket and moved it toward the datapad, copying the location in fact he lost it. After all, such things happened. Not that he was forgetful, but he had a way with breaking and smashing things.
His expression became perfectly interested in, when the Jedi spoke of his intention. Indeed, it was such a coincidence to have two different people looking for the same map here. That was enough of a reason for Brody to be all the more curious about this item. "Oh, is that true?" He asked with a more serious look now. It was obvious his pure attention was on this Jedi. "Then you may inform me further about this map. Where does it lead to?" He asked, open to any kind of information coming to his way.
"No. No. No. Wrong question." He pointed both his hands up in a stopping motion and shook his head. There was a new brand of excitement spark in his eyes. His visit to this planet had proved to be a very interesting experience in the end. This only promised for more excitement of mysteries. "What does it lead to?" Further questions such as who would be taking the map could wait for later.

Jareth found himself pinned down with this next question that the man was asking, or at least that's how it initially seemed at the moment. Normally such a question would have thrown someone in his position off; especially if they hadn't been expecting to go into a sort of under cover roll at the moment. Jareth though was a master of deception and he had been even when he had formerly been a Jedi Knight. Now that he was a Dark Side force user, and his skill in that area weren't hindered by the Jedi Order's strict code, it was far easier for him to master the skill. And so he had, as he was about to prove with his rather masterful answer to the man's question.
"If i knew where the map lead my friend, it wouldn't be needing the map now would i?" He asked with a tilt of his head before adding. "I believe that's the purpose of a Map even." He smirked coyly at the man but then knelt down again by the pilot who had yet to recover from the crash. "Listen carefully, I need you to tell me who else is looking for the map... perhaps a deal can be made for it." He spoke, now that he had answered the question of the mysterious Doctor figure; hopefully slating the man's curiosity.
If this man was from the Jedi his alibi would live very short, and if he was from the Republic there was no possible way he could take everyone who was interested in it out. There were however alternatives to getting them; and keeping them off his trail in effect allowing him and Revan to get to the Star Forge at the end of all this first.
