Overall Appearance:
Liam is tall when it is compared to his mother and father.  However, he is shorter than his older sister which was the topic of a great deal of teasing.  He happened to be the correct physical physic to become a stormtrooper.  Liam's face shape is naturally round but he also has a bit of a baby face from his love of eating.  Ever since he was young his mother would stuff him full of food. He used to be chubbier but since joining the Empire, he's lost some weight.  He remains a bit on the chunky side as it is part of his natural body shape.  His love of food and general laziness keep him on the heavy side, however.  His eyes are a dark brown color that is almost as dark as his hair.  

Being a stormtrooper, there isn't a lot of clothing choices for Liam.  Most days he wears his armor and helmet.  When not on duty he prefers to wear loose fitting clothes that are optimal for relaxing in.  He only dresses up when he is required to.  Liam tends to be very expressive with his tone of voice and facial expressions.  Luckily for him, the stormtrooper helmet prevents his expressive face from being seen by his superior officers.

PERSONALITY



The first word that comes to many people's mind when they think of Liam is idiot.  The second might be lazy.  The second thought is the more accurate one.  Liam isn't very thoughtful when it comes to his actions.  This has less to do with his mental capacity and more to to do with not being patient enough to follow through on a plan.  For him the thing that involves the least amount of work is the best route.  
Liam is the wisecracking loud-mouth of his group, being self centered, acerbic, and lazy. With respect to personality, Liam is fairly brash and has a flair for melodrama. He is quick to make silly theories or insults, even toward people who could clearly kill him without hesitation. Liam is easily scared and would rather run away from a battle than deal with it. His hobbies include: eating, sleeping, avoiding work, and reading trashy romance novels.  When it comes to his relationships he doesn't have many.  He is on fairly good terms with his fellow soldiers, especially Cliff Allen who he met in basic training.  His superior officers often do not like him for his laziness and general incompetence.  Within his family, he is closest with his mother who taught him how to cook, fed him often, and shared her novels with him.  He doesn't particularly like his older sister because she is naturally better at him at everything.

BACKGROUND

History:
Liam Grell was born into a middle class family on Coruscant shortly before the rise of the Empire.  His father worked for a communications agency and his mother stayed at home with Liam and his older sister.  The course of galactic history changed when Laim was three years old (his sister five) and the Jedi Order fell.  Liam has no meaningful memories of this time or the early stages of the Empire.  However, later in life his older sister and parents shared memories of how terrifying the Clone Wars had been.  For the most part the family's life didn't change drastically in the early years of the Empire.  In fact, Liam's father got a better job through the Empire.  Aside from that day to day life under the Empire was fairly normal. 
In school Liam was often compared to his older sister who was a brilliant student.  Teachers were disappointed when he ignored them, goofed off, and rarely did his homework assignments.  It was only because of his mother's threats that he managed to scrape through the requirements for his grade from year to year.  During his childhood and adolescence, he became close to his mother partly because he took after her more so than his ambitious father.  During this time he learned how to cook and gained a love for poorly written, cheesy romance novels.  His father's attentions remained on his older sister who held a great deal of promise academically and in the eyes of the Empire.  In fact, his sister eventually did join the Imperial ranks and excelled. 

At age eighteen, Liam also joined the military.  As a going away present his father bought him a casket, showing his lack of confidence in his son's ability to return home.  Liam took it as a joke, commenting on how comfortable the casket was, much to his father's chagrin.  During basic training he met and became friends with Cliff Allen.  The two were inseparable and made a rather unfortunate couple.  Both men were horrible at basic training and were only let through out of desperation on the Empire's part for soldiers.  One of their early assignments was aboard the Star Destroyer, Devastator, with a planned eventual transfer to the newly completed Death Star.  This plan was altered when Darth Vader deployed Cliff, Liam, and a number of other solders to Tatooine to locate two missing droids.  Cliff was placed in charge of one of the blockades within Mos Eisley.  They unknowingly stopped a speeder carrying Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the two droids they were looking for.  After a Jedi mind trick they let the speeder pass.  While Liam was confused after the fact as to why they had let the speeder go he didn't both questioning it since it meant they didn't have to do as much work.  However, because of this slip up the entire troop of stormtroopers were transferred from the Death Star to Hoth as punishment.  This was lucky for them since the Death Star was later destroyed. 
During the Battle of Hoth, the their troop was sent in to help in the attack on the rebel base.  Liam was supposed to be in an AT-AT but was able to avoid the worst of the fighting by "accidentally being snowed into their own base".  The severity of the snowed in problem were exaggerated but he was able to survive the battle and overtake the base that the rebels had abandoned.  He did eventually make it to the front lines once the majority of the fighting was over.  However, while searching the base, they came across a wampa pin.  The sign had been pulled off the door so the troopers opened the doors unaware.  Once his comrade was pulled into the pin by the animal he quickly shut the door and found another place to explore.  Liam and his fellow Hoth-exiles spent about a year on the ice planet before being transferred yet again to Endor in preparation for a massive battle against the rebels. 
Liam and Cliff's duty during the Battle of Endor was to guard the entrance to a base on the surface.  Both were under the assumption that their job was easy since there was no one there but Ewoks.  Liam even made some jokes and commented on how cute the little guys were when one approached one of their bikes.  Unexpectedly, the little guy took off on the bike, sending everyone but Liam after the Ewok and the bike.  Left alone, Han Solo snuck up behind Liam, forcing him to chase the man right into a rebel trap.  He immediately surrendered and allowed the rebels into the base.  Unluckily for the rebels, a number of other storm troopers, including those who went after the Ewok, had returned and quickly captured the rebels who had infiltrated the base.  Once the rebels were under control, a protocol droid was spotted in the distance, calling to them.  Liam and Cliff made their way towards the droid in order to capture him.  This was a trap by the Ewoks, who ambushed the group with spears and arrows.  Liam ran screaming from the area into the forest, Cliff and a number of other stormtroopers trailing behind him.  The next thing any of them knew, they were sucked through the time slip.
