Jessica Coren
He still fondly recalled his time returning to Alderaan years ago as a child. Aldric Cibre was born on Coruscant, but he still considered Alderaan to be a kind of home for himself, even if he only really visited the world one time in his childhood because of his mother's insistence that he and his siblings learn about where they had come from. Oddly enough, (perhaps as always the case with Aldric) he wasn't fond or sentimental of the world for those reasons... rather because it had been on Alderaan that he was really beginning to find his skills that to this day he still used so frequently. His skill with Observation and his ability to logically make conclusions from small pieces of evidence that many over look went back well before his first visit to Alderaan, this was true; however it was during that family visit that he had begun to realize what the skills could really be used for... and it was from that point on that he set to work forging his career in the crime solving business... and a fruitful career it had been. That is, up until he had come through the time slip, and all of that hard work went down the drain. He was no longer known well enough that cases would just come to him, like he was in his own time. Instead he had to get out of his comfort zone and seek out the cases for himself that he was interested in. He found it a necessary evil though, and really he was actually enjoying the freedom he now had across the galaxy. He could solve a case now without worry of being recognized by anyone and having any kind of cover blown. It had been something that he had been forced to get used to in the other timeline which he came from, but now that he didn't need to worry about it, he found it somewhat... dare he say, refreshing. All the same, not having any kind of reputation was also a hindrance, leaving him to have to actually put effort in finding some kind of work. His living conditions too were far worse then those he was used to form his original timeline... and he lacked any comprehensive science equipment or research manuals... which slowed him in some aspects of research that he licked to conduct... not to mention what the lack of anything entertaining did to his head. Over the last couple of days he had heard of the quite mysterious bombing that had taken place on Alderaan, one of the space ports having been destroyed in much the same manner of a case he had solved in his own timeline by the sinister Carmilla Black, the leader of a crime syndicate that Aldric found himself squaring off against more then just occasionally. He eventually took the entire organization down at the death of miss Black, but he realized it was possible that the syndicate could still be around even now, 4000 years in the past, and if not it could have come through in parts through the time slip just as he had. Either way, he wanted to investigate the bombing, and he would have the ability to do so with knowledge of the case in the future if this had anything to do with the syndicate that he had once foiled. He managed to purchase himself a cheap ticket on transport from Coruscant to Alderaan, heading direct for the Capitol of Aldera City; and over the course of the trip was formulating himself a plan to allow him to get into the crime scene on time... and of course there would be the fact that the bodies of the injured would have already been taken to the Morgue, but he assumed he would be able to sneak in there on his own with little issue... especially if he picked the right moment. When his transport landed he was quick to get off of the ship and make his way through the peaceful town, finding the spaceport still on lock-down after the explosion the day before. That didn't keep him out for long though, making his way around the alleys to sneak in the back way, once again using the universal key to unlock the back doors and use a few precious moments of his time to investigate the scene of the crime. The first thing he did was get a basic over view of everything that happened, but he was also quick to get samples of the bomb fragments, and a few others from across the scene that he hoped to be able to test. He had no portable lab with him (that being something he no doubt would want to look into once he had some kind of measurable funds) so he decided he would likely have to test the things when he arrived at the Morgue, looking up to the sky to check the time... getting the feeling he would have the morgue to himself soon as it was getting late... he couldn't imagine it would be busy too far past average closing time, so long as he managed to get in before the doors were locked... though the key again could make short work of any lock that was computerized. He continued to get a look around the bomb site, but with the samples, he had everything he needed, and was quick to leave the docking bay before either the station manager or the police realized he was there... that would only slow him down and make things infinitely more difficult than he wanted them to be. He was quick to leave from there, and make his way into the Morgue, it not being too terribly hard to say he was there to see one of the bodies, claiming it one of his friends... his identification even listed him with Alderaani heritage, which made his story a little more believable, it seeming as if he had traveled all the way from Coruscant just to check on his friend... From there he just slipped through the cracks until closing time, no one noticing him as he blended in all too well and eventually when he assumed everyone had left or checked out, he came out of his hiding again and silently made his way to the room with the bodies... not aware someone was still in the morgue with him...

Jess groaned a little as she sat back in her chair, both hands resting over tired eyes as she let her head hang backwards. The past couple of days had really taken its toll on her, the explosion not only shaking Alderran to its peaceful core, but also more than doubling her workload. She was pretty sure she'd done a weeks worth of work in 24 hours and her body was now certainly letting her know it. Her feet ached, her muscles were sore and her back certainly knew it hadn't seen the comfort and warmth of a soft mattress recently. All around, she wasn't in a favourable mood, and with the last of her reports finally filed at such a late hour, she was more than ready to go home and sleep. Unfortunately it seemed that other people had other plans for her. As she sat back up and stretched out her arms, the slight movement of a shadow caught her eye, making her do a small double take in that direction.
She tended to notice things like that, especially considering the place she worked very rarely had movement in it besides her own, Working with the dead didn't freak her out or anything like that, she certainly wasn't the superstitious type to believe in ghosts either though she'd heard stories as much as the next person, she was just very familiar with her surroundings and noticed when something was out of place there, As she continued to watch the spot she had seen movement in, she got silently to her feet and picked up the closest object to her that could be used as a weapon - a metal specimen bowl, Holding her breath a little, she crept up to stand with her back against the wall, bowl held at the ready and waited to see what was coming. She knew it wouldn't be one of the deceased's families....for one the door to the morgue automatically prohibited entry after a certain time except to her and other medical personnel and for another they always announced themselves....usually in quite the emotional fashion. No...whoever or whatever was here with her at the moment wasn't supposed to be here.
As she concentrated it was then she heard the quiet footsteps slowly approaching from around the corner, her fingers gripping the metal in her fingers worriedly as she steeled herself for whatever was coming next. She just needed to buy some time until she could hit the panic button or reach her blaster....it depended which direction she managed to head in. Swallowing hard, she bit her lip as the shadow started to get bigger until eventually a tall black figure had appeared beside her. Taking one quick glance, she swung the metal bowl up and heard the sound of it connecting as it vibrated a little against her hand, stepping back away from the wall with it still held in the air as she finally got to see what had invaded her space,...a little surprised to find it was another human,
"What....what are you doing here?!" She eventually stuttered out,. "What do you want?!"

He was almost to the center of the morgue now... having had absolutely no problem getting here now. Between his own stealth skills, the universal key, any kind of regular lock picking skills, and the fact that there was practically no one besides himself still alive in the entire building by this hour. Almost. He was making his way through one of the labs by this time, the room was dark and he was entering the hallway now the crossed to the small office space nearest a lab that adjoined with the actual morgue. It had taken him a little bit to be 100% sure where he was, but now he was almost positive he knew where the bodies were being kept. Normally it looked like this hallway was well lit, but at the moment it was pitch black, and it probably didn't help that his choice of clothing was already dark in color, but outside the window he probably couldn't be seen even if he wanted to be.
This was just fine for Aldric though, and actually played into his plans well. What he hadn't been expecting was for someone to be waiting for him when he opened the doors to the office area... greeting him with a larger silver and round object flying right for his head. A look of helpless confusion crossed his face in that moment as he reared back a little, but before he could drop out of the way or move to keep himself from being hit there was a loud clang! that signified metal hitting Aldric's nose and skull.
He doubled backward for a moment, his hand reaching up to clutch his now bloodied nose before his head flung back, trying to keep the blood from spewing out all over the floor and his clothes. He hissed in pain, tilting his head a little as he narrowed his eyes, trying to see who had done that. What he saw was a small woman with light brown hair looking up at him in as much confusion as must have been on his face - or would have been on his face if not for the fact the confusion was perfectly masked with pain - holding a silver specimen trey in what would have normally been a comedic position in an attempt to make herself look dangerous. It wasn't mere looks though as Aldric's nose could testify. He groaned a little before pushing past her, looking for the sink and some cotton balls in the first aid kit, having been able to find them with no prior knowledge as to where they were.
"Aldric Cibre." He grunted in reply to her first question before sighing a bit, speaking up in reply to the second now as he looked into another silver dish to try and see if the bleeding had stopped. "I have no ill will or intent to you i assure you." He replied to the second portion, feeling it was probably best to explain to her that he wasn't there for her as some kind of stalker or anything of the sort. "I'm investigating the explosion if you must know... but you can go." He said, trying to show he could both do this on his own and that it was probably best if she wasn't there to begin with.

As good a start as Jess felt she had made with the stranger that had interrupted her usual quiet shutdown of the morgue, it soon seemed to get out of hand very quickly. In a moment he had pushed past her before Jess could even really react and was swiftly trying to sort out his nose as he answered the questions she had asked him. For a moment there was a brief hint of worry as he said that he was investigating the explosion - assaulting a law official was hardly good practise let alone the fact she could be punished for it. Her mind caught up quickly with its reasoning though, reminding her that she had seen the officer who came to investigate the bodies of crimes, and he would have been quick to tell her if there was a need to see them so soon. She gave a small disbelieving chuckle as the intruder then had the audacity to try and dismiss her. She moved swiftly to her bag at her desk and pulled out her blaster, pointing it at him with a steady hand,
"How dare you come into my morgue...and try...try and tell me what to do. I know the officers who come to do this investigation work, and not only would I have been informed...I would have been told who Is attending so I can release classified information to them. Plus they would not come here in the dead of night either. Get out or I'll call security and they will throw you out."
Her words sounded strong, however there was always that hint of nervousness in her slight stutter that she hated. She meant every word of course, and she would call security one way or the other to remove the intruder from the premisis....but his confidence and arrogance was throwing her a little bit. She wasn't entirely sure what to make of the situation.

As he tended to his nose bleed he could hear her shuffling around behind him, but he noticed she was moving in the opposite direction then the the alarm, which meant whatever she was doing he still had time to deal with his own work that needed to be done. He sighed a little bit at the all too familiar sound of a blaster being armed and the safety being disabled. He doubted she would have it on any lethal setting, so he wasn't worried about that really... but it would certainly put a crimp in his investigation that was already on a limited timing.
The woman began to go through a small set of surprisingly logical thinking, but he sighed, shaking his head a bit as he sniffed the air, having taken care of the bleeding now, but was double checking it in the silver dish to make sure it had stopped. He looked over his shoulder with a completely neutral expression on his face as he looked fearlessly down the shaft of the blaster leveled at his back. He sighed, trying to hold back any clear amount of annoyance, but it probably seeped into his voice all the same before he was beginning to speak in his quickened tone as he always seemed to be, his words leaving his lips at the speed of thought.
"First it's not actually your morgue, they are technically publicly marked buildings... i'm technically an Alderaani citizen so..." He waved in her direction, mockingly as if expecting that to be enough reasoning to difute the first comment, though he realized in reality it was probably just meant to throw her off sense it really had not bearing on the actual situation at hand."And no one said i was an actual officer now did they?" He asked back rhetorically with a small chuckle and shake of his head, walking past her as he flashed a badge briefly to her eyes. It was a real police badge that he had lifted some time ago... true it wasn't really his, but perhaps it would be enough for him to use to prevent her from throwing much more of a fit. To be safe though he had used his Universal Key to disable both the gun and the alarm, though he had done so discreetly. "Now if that is all?" He asked, though once more it wasn't a serious question as he continued to press deeper into the morgue where the bodies where kept; looking specifically for the ones related to the explosion on the docks.
Without permission he was comparing names from the Data pad to the names on the slabs, looking the bodies over for a moment before he realized he would need to get into the lab in order to check the samples he had taken.

If the situation wasn't already bad enough to Jess' mind, it only got worse as the intruder neither cared that she was pointing a blaster at his back or seemed to pay any attention to the fact she knew he wasn't an investigating officer. She wasn't about to take the quick flash of whatever it was he had held in front of her face as proof for a second, and as he started to head deeper into the morgue again she got more irritated. So much so she tried to fire a warning shot at his feet, though found that for whatever reason - though she highly suspected it was his doing - it did nothing. She shook her head and disgarded the useless weapon, picking up another specimen dish instead and dashing after him with one in each hand. She might not have been the most confident person on the planet...but she would always stand up for herself and what she believed in. She clenched her jaw and when she was close enough, threw one of the metal bowls at him...aiming for his head though it went a little lower and smacked across the back of his shoulders instead. Close enough.
"A bank is also a public building but if your caught in it skulking around after hours like you are, it's guaranteed arrest. The fact your in here trying to mess around with dead bodies is hardly going to do you any favours. This morgue and everything in it is my responsibility, I am in charge of it and entrusted with the care of the deceased who rest here. Therefore, technically, it is my morgue. I'm not asking you, i'm telling you...get out of here before I dispense with calling security and move straight on to the authorities. I'm good friends with the police inspector and I'm sure he'd be very interested to know someone had been seen and caught here after dark "investigating" the explosion. As I understand it, they're still looking for the suspect. I have both your name and your picture to hand to them." She said in return to all his quick speech he had tried to distract her with previously, moving as she did to stand in his way and stop him looking at the names of the bodies tucked safely in their temporary resting places.
"Or keep standing here and before I call the authorities i'll take a better shot at your nose and actually break it." She warned, the metal glinting in her hand almost threatening in itself. She was hardly the intimidating picture he was of course, she being much shorter in stature, skinny and of course practically stumbling nervously through her words though again there was no doubting she meant every one.

He let her continue on with her small ranting for a moment, arching his brow at her logic this time but didn't even bother coming up with much of a reply this time as he continued to look through the things he was needing to investigate, sighing lightly as he just let her spill everything out that she was trying to say at the moment. Really she wasn't doing either of them any favors, and he had better things to do... an apparently a limited time to do it if she had any say in the matter. That only complicated things, which caused him to give an irritated sigh into the air.
Aldric did smirk though when she got the idea to call in some authority, but didn't budge on the thought as he just continued his approach, shrugging off the tin that had bounced off of his shoulder. Before long she was appearing in front of him as if to prevent him from reading the names on the slabs, but he merely peered over here, there being hardly any effort in doing so as he was considerably taller then her, Glancing at the names on the tags now as he commented back to one of her comments. "Oh really... and what was my name again?" He asked sarcastically, though still looking around her for a moment. Even if she had managed to read the name on the badge that had only been held out for a moment, it wasn't his real name, which meant he had two reasons not to worry about this.
He did turn to her though with a small rhetorical look on his face while she continued to think she would somehow be able to contact the police. Really? Him disabling her gun and the other communication systems didn't tell her at all she wouldn't be able to get away with that? Trial and error he supposed, but still... he really didn't have time to go through all of the possible options before she found out aside from running out of the morgue to get someone in person; which would take all the time he needed, she didn't have much of a choice. "Yes could you please get them? I would like to point them in the right direction." Aldric replied with a small sigh before he continued, now speaking once more in his quickened tone.
"I really don't have time for this, but there is a slight chance the police; per usual, have no idea what they are doing. I am not the bad guy here, but i do need to look into these bodies and use equipment in the lab." He explained, quite literally giving her the full situation before he continued. "I've already disabled the comms, which gives limited options. Hit me with that again... though this time i'm actually ready for it... " He warned, showing he could handle himself if he needed to, but continued all the same. "You can run to get the law enforcement, but by then i will have everything i need and be continuing with my investigation anyway. Or finally you can move out of my way, let me work in peace, and be out of your hair so we can both be happy. Do quick quite quickly though, because i would rather finish this investigation sooner rather then later." He said, stepping back a little bit as if to allow her to mull over the options that he placed in front of her, arching his brow to show he was waiting for her to pick something... all of which would really end up getting her out of his way so he could continue his work.

She tried not to show it, but as the situation grew worse and he continued to get more cocky and more arrogant the more upset she was getting inside. Her heart was starting to hammer in her chest as she clenched her jaw the more he spoke, the more he tried to take the control she had in this place away from her, She hadn't felt helpless for a long time, and that kind of headspace was no where she wanted to be right now or ever again. Jess would be damned if some stranger made her feel that way again. Even as she stood there trying to stop him poking his already bloodied nose in where it didn't belong, he was disregarding and ignoring here to do so anyway. Usually it wasn't something she minded, she preferred to stay out the way and unnoticed but when it came to this, she knew she couldn't be. Not only did her job stand on the line if she let him just take what he wanted, do what he wanted, but she genuinely cared about the people she was responsible for as much as any doctor cared about their living patients.
She didn't say anything, she didn't move for a second as he stepped back a little and watched her. Then, in one swift movement, she made her own stance...one he wouldn't be able to ignore. Knowing he was expecting it, she swung at him with the specimen bowl held in her tight grip. When he reached to stop her, her free hand darted out and snatched the datapad he was using, turning swiftly to the nearest sink and turning the tap on, holding it warningly over the bowl as it slowly filled with water. With that little bit of control, her mind was back on track.
"Smart moving, disabling the communications...except you forget the security guards here will notice that the main system has been tampered with and the point at which it was. Not to mention the records of whose swiped in and out of her unauthorised. Given they've already probably been doing it the minute you stepped foot in here, and then headed down here from the moment you disabled the comms I figure you've got about a minute more before they come in here to check on me....because of course I'm the last one out the building most nights before them and always say goodnight before I leave."
She wasn't smirking, she was deadly serious and she held the datapad a little closer to the rising water in warning of what she was saying. She gave a small determined shake of her head as she breathed out heavily down her nose, watching him.
"So now you only have two choices. Leave of your own accord, or leave by force between two security guards who, as soon as they hear me screaming, will get here all the faster. Sometimes technology is overrated."

Really though he was disappointed when the first move she made had been to swing at him with the specimen bowl. That disappointment changed when she pretty much made her quick change in directions, trying to black mail him or scare him into giving into what she wanted. Why didn't she understand? He was being completely honest really... she had managed to swipe his data pad, but really that was moot by this point now anyway. All that would get done by that was him needing to purchase a new Data pad... he had the names safely locked in his head now. He ended up just giving a sigh as he hung his head, shaking it for a moment with a small shrug. He didn't bother to explain to her how the universal key worked, it not being as simple as she seemed to chalk it up to, which often worked to his advantage anyway.
"If you say so..." Aldric spoke after a moment with a small shrug, seeing her having jumped out of the way. If she wanted to think that was the case, he would allow it. She had been creative, and really that was something that not many people were in this day and age any more... in part for the same point she was making. Technology did all the thinking and work for them. The Data pad had been a convenience for him, but besides the names which he had in his head he didn't need them any more.
Still she had jumped out of the way now, which left the slabs open. He wouldn't have time to look at all the bodies, but as she was well out of the way now he was able to move back up to them and wheel one of them out, holding his hand up as he spoke. "Fair deal... i'll be out in a moment willingly." He agreed, glancing over the body for a moment before he took a swab of the residue still on the man, dropping it into a test tube of his own before he dropped it back into his bag on his side. It wasn't as much as he liked, but he would be able to make at least the basics work with this limited information... he would have to find another lab somewhere... perhaps the schools... to run any tests he needed, but he was indeed running out of time here... even if he had more then this woman thought he did. "Good luck with the scans and getting my name and all though... like you said... over ratted and all." Aldric said, wheeling the slab back and stepping away, grabbing his data pad once more as he checked it over, holding it to the light as he was making his way out of the morgue now, his coat swinging behind him a little. Once he was sure that was safe he tossed it in the air a bit, letting it tumble end over end for a moment before he caught it on it's way back down.
He was now working on just exactly what the smaller woman had wanted, moving for the doors as he pushed them open and then looked back to the sample he had collected, holding it in front of him now as well. Getting in had been simple aside from the girl he was leaving behind... getting out would be just as easy for him.

Of course, being from a different time, Aldric was underestimating how much Jess knew of where she worked and how it worked, and overestimating how effective his technology was here. It was true what she said, even in this limited time people relied on technology too much....but not as badly as it was relied upon in the future. As Aldric snatched his datapad back and Jess hurried to put the body back away again, she scowled at his retreating back and shook her head, but couldn't help the smirk that crossed her face as she heard people calling her name just seconds before the morgue doors opened....right as Aldric was about to step through them.
The door opened and the specimen Aldric had been looking at as he walked flew from his hand and bounced and skittered across the floor, disappearing under one of the mortuary slabs to Jess' slight amusement. It took moments for the security personnel to realise that the person they had run into wasn't Jess, and they instantly had Aldric with his hands behind his back pressed up against the adjacent wall.
"Are you alright, Jess?" One of the security guards asked her in concern as he pulled the cuffs from his belt, his partner radioing through to the local authorities as he kept a firm hold on Aldric. "Are you hurt?"
Jess smiled reassuringly to them and shook her head, moving more into the room as she crossed her arms over her chest, rubbing one of her arms a little which she supposed was why he thought she was hurt. Really it was just a nervous tick she had, a comforting gesture she had more than once in her life caught herself doing.
"No I promise, I'm fine. Just a little shaken. You might want to be careful of his nose...I kind of hit it with a specimen bowl." She admitted with a sheepish grin.
"Good going." The security guard chuckled in return, securing the cuffs around Aldrics wrists before pulling him back away from the wall, holding onto him tightly. "You get yourself home, we'll lock up. The authorities will be here any moment to take this one away."
"I will..." She said with a nod, giving a small smirk as Aldric was turned to face her again, tilting her head a little. "His names Aldric Cibre by the way...he introduced himself to me after I smacked him in the nose."

((O.O.C --- The key will still work... i've had it working in other threads. I don't think you QUITE get how it works but we can work with this As agreed.))
Almost instantly he groaned as he saw outside the door. Well this got him in touch with the police, that was at least a plus. But he had a feeling the situation wouldn't exactly be the same as if he had coordinated the whole thing himself. They went right to being physical about this though and began pushing Aldric around, something he reluctantly complied with as he glanced to where the specimen slide he had rolled away to. This certainly complicated things.
He rolled his eyes as the police moved to the woman in the room, making sure she was fine though he remained silent for the moment. Another thing they were clearly doing wrong was the fact they didn't question Aldric at all, but he would have enough flaws of theirs to point out in the long run anyway... he didn't need to make things worse in the moment. Of course she went on after that to give his name to them, but he only shrugged a little. It wasn't that big an accomplishment on her part really. He simply shrugged though shot a slight glare at her when she seemed to look back over to him oh so innocently.
Aldric simply remained silent though as he was lead away from there, regretting the fact he hadn't just hit her with a stunner when she first saw her. It certainly would have saved time with as unreasonable as she had been. The argument and this detour to the jail all could have been avoided. When the security officers whisked him away he didn't fight or break away, though he imagined he could have come up with more then one or two ways out of all of this. It took all of his self control not to break out of the hand cuffs really, but he managed until he was eventually brought into a cell and left there. He took in his surroundings for a moment but fell silent, looking out the window in his room for a moment. It was a set back, but not one he couldn't get out of... especially if someone came in here and began questioning him... oh he would almost feel bad for the officer with that task... if they hadn't made this near fatal flaw that is.
If anything he would enjoy walking out of here before the night was over.

Jess breathed a soft sigh as the guards took Aldric out of the morgue and she was finally alone again, closing her eyes as she leant against the wall and hugged her stomach just a little tighter. The shock and intensity of the situation was gone and she could finally focus a little more on what had just happened and who she had just met. As she glanced around the room, her eyes caught the soft glinting of the specimen slide that the intruder had lost that had settled under one of the mortuary slabs. She bit her lip and moved forwards, squatting down to pick it up and turn it this way and that in her fingers with a thoughtful look on her face.
Really...the man hadn't done anything to actually deserve being arrested that evening. He hadn't attacked her when he clearly had the means to do so, let alone the fact he was nearly double the height she was, and really if anything she had attacked him. He was after all the one walking away from the morgue with a bloody nose, if not a broken one. He hadn't actually done anything to the bodies, though if he had been alone she couldn't say in all certainty he wouldn't have tried to get something more from them. Perhaps if she had been able to talk with him, understand why it was he wanted the specimen's or why he had felt the need to break into the morgue if he was trying to work with the police on the bombings, then they could have gotten off on a better start.
As it was though, he had an awful attitude and it had been his cockiness and utter disrespect for the fact she ran the place that had grated against her and made her just as willing to help him. In fact, as she thought back on everything, she had deliberately gone out of her way to stop him from doing what he wanted instead of simply asking him who he was and what he did. Jess gave a soft sigh and got back to her feet, running a hand over her head and down her ponytail, gripping onto the end of it and twirling it around her fingers as she thought for a little while longer.
Before long, the morgue was locked up and she was heading out the building but instead of getting her cab and asking it to take her home, she asked to be taken to the local authority building where the temporary cells were. Even though the man was a jerk and completely deserved the smack to the face she delivered, really that was all it should have been. Granted, he should have been less arrogant and actually just did as she asked then things could have gone differently...but she was the reason he was in jail when really he had done nothing to deserve it. Technically he hadn't even really broken into the morgue either, just gotten himself locked in. She stayed quiet on the short ride to the station, pulling her coat a little tighter around her as she headed in and asked to see the DI. Like she had said, she worked with a lot of the officers on some of their cases, but the DI she particularly got on with.
If anyone would listen to her it would be him, and once she could determine who Aldric Cibre was and what his intentions were towards the investigation, perhaps she could even convince them to let him have better access to what he needed. More than anything, some of the things he had said during the brief time in the morgue had intrigued her a little, and there was just something about him that was different that she couldn't quite put her finger on.
