Dalik ValenThe Jedi Order had received word from a contact on Corellia in recent months, that he had information belonging to the Sith Order. The Empire had been making some very curious moves lately, and it was concerning the Jedi... with good reason really. After all there wasn't much that the Sith did that was ever really productive in any way. Even so, whatever it was they were up to remained secret and hidden from the eyes of the Jedi order, and until now they had no leads to follow, even with Satele rescuing Bastila Shan recently... what an interesting set of events that had turned out to be. That too was something that the Sith seemed to be making more progress in. This time Slip was a mystery that spanned the Galaxy over, and the Jedi seemed to be right in the middle of it. And yet the Sith seemed to be the ones that knew more about it, and were acting on it; who knew what for. The Jedi needed all the help they could get, and as such were more then willing to accept all the Jedi coming through the time slip from the different eras, including someone as powerful as Satele was. She had come through, meeting Luke Skywalker in the process, and had since then been sent on several missions alone. That included the current mission to speak with the contact on Corellia and see if he had any information related to the Sith and their dealings. It was late in the day, the sun having passed over the sky leaving a light color in the sky as the streets were darkening and daylight turned to dim evening. Satele was crossing the street, wearing a cloak over her unconventional Jedi Tunic, careful not to draw attention to herself in hopes that no one caught on to her or their contact. In order to avoid such attention (it didn't help that she already felt as if someone was watching her) she was deciding it best to take the longest routs to get to the Cantina where the contact was waiting for her, taking back alleys as well to avoid any watchful eyes. It was while she was passing through an alley that she stopped, her hand reaching up to her forehead as she paused, feeling an odd presence... and disturbance in the force that reminded her of the same feelings that had washed over her when she had come through the time slip. She looked around carefully, trying to see if anyone was nearby... feeling as though somewhere... someone was about to make an appearance into this world like she did not long ago. She just hoped she could explain the time slip as well as it had been explained to her...

"Master! News from Bastion!" a young Jedi would call as he provided Dalik with the holocast of the Galactic Commonwealth leader, Adorn Brishen, calling for Order 66 and announcing that he would be taking the fight to Corellia itself for being 'traitors to the galaxy for harboring the Jedi' and that Stormtroopers were on their way. Closing his eyes, Dalik found no other options and felt only in that moment that the best defense would be to go on the offensive when Commonwealth forces arrived. "Get the Initiates and Padawans to safety, I want every able bodied Jedi out there helping the Corellians, when Brishen's forces get here I want them pushed back and overwhelmed, and get the Temple on lockdown, no one gets in or out" Dalik replied as he walked off to the Council chambers seeing the Council convened in an emergency session. "Councilors, thank you for being here on such short notice....Chancellor Brishen has declared an act of war against the Jedi Order and the people of the Free Corellian Republic, as such I have called for the Jedi to support the military. And do apologize for taking such executive action without first consulting you" with that the ground would begin to shake and what sounded like bombing runs began to start and Dalik would continue to address the Council.
Finally the alarm clicked on, the Temple guard had been overwhelmed as he had thought, and immediately Dalik would jump up, lightsaber drawn. "If we should fall this night....it was an honor serving with you" he'd retort and with that the Stormtroopers would breach the chamber and Dalik quickly made his strike. But he missed his target as he fell through a rift and found himself charging at nothing, staying his Lightsaber as he saw a frightened commoner he would disengage and sheath the blade within it's chamber before nodding to everyone and showing that he meant no harm. But he was at the very least confused and he felt a great disturbance in the Force. No longer from threat but feeling as if he were....out of place.
Dalik walked around until he found himself at a Cantina, he was in Corellia but it was no longer under any sort of danger or attack from an outside Government. As a matter of fact, some technology to him seemed a little outdated and he frowned. Taking a cup of Jawa Juice, Dalik would close his eyes and began to try and reach out to anyone from the Jedi Council in his time. But to no avail.
It looked like he was going to be stuck here a while....

She shut her eyes then, the feeling that warned her that the rift was near by subsided after a moment as she focused her energy for a moment on trying to find the center of the feelings she had just experienced. Conveniently, it seemed whoever was responsible for these things was in the same area that Satele already needed to be going to. She eventually opened her eyes then, giving a small breath as she looked around once more, getting her bearings again before she continued her abstract course through the back alleys, trying to make sure no one was tailing her.
Once she was certain she was safe, she changed directions again and went to the cantina, entering through the front door. She was now looking for two people, the contact, and whoever it was who had been the center of the time rift that she had just been alerted to through the force. She sighed, for a moment, considering her options, her head swinging around over her shoulder a little as she looked to the door. These were delicate matters; if there WAS by some chance someone following her that she hadn't lost already, then perhaps if she went about her normal business and didn't meet the contact right away, it would make whoever was tailing her lose interest... besides that she could be certain her contact would stay put until she met with him... unlike this mysterious force user who had just been swept up who could leave at any moment... and if he was worried or confused, it was possible he would leave sooner rather then later in an attempt to get his bearings.
With these thoughts in mind, Satele decided to try and locate the person related to the time incident, instead of her client... looking around for a moment before she caught sight of a bearded man... He appeared to be confused, and yet remarkably composed at the same time... already a trait that reminded her of Jedi training. Still it wasn't enough to go on just yet. She focused on him for a moment, shutting her eyes to make certain this man had been the cause of it before she made an effort to cross the room to him, keeping her cloak tightly pulled around herself as she moved, though the hood was now pulled down now that she was out of the elements. She tried to make eye contact with the man from afar, wanting to make sure he knew she was coming for him so as not to startle him.

Feeling eyes on him, Dalik turned to the likeness of Satele Shan and felt his confusion only grow. To see such a legendary Grandmaster in person and in the flesh other than in holocrons was astounding for him. Acknowledging that she was going to be coming to him, he'd make the first move and got up before moving to her. "Satele Shan, Grandmaster of the Jedi Order during the Old Republic" Dalik would retort as soon as he took a seat right next to her "This is interesting" Dalik added in as he took another sip of his Jawa Juice. His interest had been peaked and he was starting to piece together that he was in the Old Republic.
Dalik took his seat and stared off as he shook his head to onlookers looking to the pair, some onlookers saw Satele and remembering her from history began to frown. Then looking to Dalik they'd be unable to identify who he was. "This is Corellia, no doubt. But what year is it?" Dalik raised an eyebrow as he felt a smile form on his face. He was with one of the most legendary Grandmasters in the history of the galaxy. And being the history buff he was, he was very intrigued and amused.
Finally his face would rest once again and he'd sip a Jawa Juice a bit more. "But to be completely serious....how are you here? You're not even supposed to be alive where I come from"

Their eyes met at a distance, the Jedi moving to take a seat at the table now. Satele took a breath, composing herself and focusing on how she was going to explain all of this to him. She had yet to explain the time slip to anyone short of her own Grandmother, Bastila Shan... and that was destined to not end well. Hopefully though she would be able to make this go over a little more smoothly. Satele continued to cross over to him, sitting down at the table as she looked to him.
Before she even had a chance to speak a word though, the man was speaking.. going into more detail abut herself then even she knew... revealing that she would be a Grandmaster herself in her time. Her eyes went a little wide, that being more then enough to knowledge to tell her that this man was already quite aware of the timeslip... even if he had just been here a few moments. He certainly got to his feet quickly, which was impressive if she had to admit it herself. She paused a bit, her lips slightly separated in confusion as she took a moment to think it over before sighing and nodding a little in reply, composing herself before she shrugged and moved onto answer his questions, trying not to look stunned or shocked. After all she had caught on pretty quickly herself... but still this man managed it in half the time of her own experience.
"Yes... that's right... You're quick to hold your composure." Satele admitted with a nod to him, sitting down in the chair across from him now, still careful to keep herself tightly hidden behind her cloak that she rarely wore. She looked over to the droid, signaling for a drink of her own before she sighed and continued to speak, answering his question now. "This is exactly 1000 years after the great hyperspace war..." She explained, looking to him in hopes it would be enough to help him come up with an answer on the year if he used some kind of other dating system like she had found some people from the future had been.
She then looked to him once more, tilting her head a little at the question directed specifically at her. "I am doing well... thank you." She answered, pausing a bit with a bewildered look on her face, not having any idea what his name might be yet. "And you are?"

Dalik looked intrigued, so 4000 BBY! And hearing her ask who he was he'd nod and wave a hand "Dalik Valen, Jedi Grandmaster of the Jedi Order approximately 5350 AHW" Dalik was giving a rough estimate, the AHW time system hadn't been used in so long since the Battle of Yavin occurred. Finally looking her dead on in the eye "So it's safe to say that I'm from the far future to you" Dalik felt a smirk form on his lips and he took another sip of his Jawa Juice as he observed the bar seeing if he could poke out a few more faces to see if he could mess with Satele a bit more. "So tell me Master Shan, I've obviously come back in time and you shouldn't even be alive if I'm correct in this time" upon hearing the year Dalik became to be more observant and curious. Satele should've been dead, and he wasn't even born yet. Finally he'd bite his lip and press the question "Has this happened to anyone else besides us, or am I going to be waking up from a dream?" he'd joke, although Dalik kept his serene look and his voice remained calm.
It was interesting to the Jedi, it all felt very real and he could possibly be here. However, he could also be dreaming. Dalik finally began to think that he felt very much awake and his head was telling him that he was thrown back into the past. And the possibilities were endless. He could find a way back and assist the Jedi and prevent Order 66 from coming to pass. He could stay here and start a new life. So what was he going to do? Only time would tell.
Finally he'd take a moment to admire the beauty of Satele, her skin, eyes, everything about her was just perfect. As if it could be painted onto a canvas by an artist in Naboo. Dalik also noted that she was from a different time and the Order's from his time and her's were different, by a lot! Dalik sipped a bit more of his Jawa Juice before waiting to hear what Satele would have to say. Keeping his thoughts to himself.

He was soon answering the question of her own as he explained his name and gave the timeline in which he had come from, her eyes arching upwards a little bit in surprise. Not only had that been extremely far in her own future, but it had been far in the future of even some of those that she had met over the course of her time here. She had to sigh a little bit, giving thought to it as she let it all sink in. It really did seem that this time slip really had no limitations as to who, how, or where it could drag someone... which was a little concerning. After a moment he had continued to add a few things here and there, mentioning how far from the future he was. "Yes... quite a distance into my future." She admitted with a small sigh and shake of her head.
After a moment he again added, showing that he had a considerable knowledge of this time, which was impressive. She had to wonder how she had left such a mark on the galaxy that someone nearly 4000 years from her time would know her this well... how had she not been lost to records and history books? She didn't speak the questions though, deciding it may have been wiser not to know much about these kinds of things. "I haven't even been born yet." She admitted with a nod back to him, ruffling her eyebrows a bit before he could ask his next question, specifically asking about others that had come through the time slip.
"Yes... there have been several to slip through this... but i do believe you are the furthest into the future." She admitted, looking over to him, smirking just a bit at his own light hearted comment. "I can assure you it's not a dream though." She added, a drink having been brought to the table for her now. She picked it up, taking a sip from it for a moment as she looked around, eventually spotting her bewildered contact, but only nodded carefully to him to show she hadn't forgotten about him and that this was all part of the plan.

Dalik looked into Satele's eyes and immediately felt a sense that it was all too familiar to him, his eyes gazing over hers as he squinted. Those were definitely eyes of someone who he was close to, and it tortured him to think about it. Remembering what had happened when the war started he'd finally blink. "My apologies Master Shan, your eyes just remind me of someone I knew" Dalik's eyes appeared sad for a small moment as he was brought another round of Jawa Juice and he quickly drowned a sip as he shook his head. Attempting to change the subject he'd open his mouth to speak.
"It's not important now, but what about others? Any Skywalkers, Darth Vader? Anyone?" Dalik retorted names that he knew but would probably confuse Satele. And he did it in part to mess with her, though he didn't smirk at all. He just wanted to see how she reacted to things. Dalik's thoughts soon turned back to the one he was thinking of and he showed signs of suffering. The man was waxed strong in the light and remained alert, but he couldn't help but have a little bit of guilt for what happened.
Dalik didn't look Satele in the eye for a bit longer, instead observing the inside of the Cantina.

The man seemed to be staring deep into her eyes, and it was putting Satele a little on edge if she was going to be totally honest. Still she remained stoic and quiet for a few moments, letting the man look to her for a moment as she did the same before he mentioned that she (or at least her eyes) looks somewhat familiar. She had to admit that now that she thought about it there was something at least partially familiar about him as well, but she said nothing about it at the time being, only continuing on to think for a moment. Not focusing any effort into figuring out who he was or why he seemed so familiar either.
He didn't give her a chance to actually question him or continue the line of thinking though, asking him about a few names that were no doubt not supposed to be known to her. After all if he was 5000 years from her future, then there was likely no way she would know any of these names. She surprised herself though when he mentioned the name of Skywalker.
Her eyes arched a bit as she looked over to him, her head having swung around to look back to him after gazing around the room for a moment. "Actually yes!" He replied with a nod. "A Jedi by the name of Luke Skywalker was the one who welcomed me to this world." She explained, seeing what kind of reaction this man would have to that name.

"Ah yes! Skywalker was the founder of my Jedi Order!" Dalik responded as he heard Satele speak of Luke. It was going to be interesting meeting eye to eye with the Grandmaster who refounded the Jedi after Order 66. An interesting meeting was in the works. "It will be interesting to meet such a wise Jedi as he was" he'd nod as he finished off his Jawa Juice. Moving from his seat, Dalik peered to Satele before giving a small smile. "So, shall we be off? I'm sure we're needing as much support as we can get" Dalik chimed before he stood there.
Then he began to wonder himself, how valuable would he be to the Order? Would they require the knowledge he learned through years of Jedi Training and self exile for a time? Or would they want him to be a valuable military leader? It would all be revealed in time. Dalik began to wonder, his times in Hutt captivity on the homeworld where they forced him and various others to fight each other to be crowned victor. He had a lot of stories to tell Satele, if she were interested.
"And to pass the time, I have quite the few stories" he'd nod before he went quiet "I will also answer any questions you have, within reason...."

She arched her brow a bit at Dalik's sudden comment as he explained that Luke had actually been the founder of the order in his timeline. She was slightly surprised by this knowledge, though had to think back on it. Had Luke failed to mention that to her, or was he simply from a time where he had yet to re-establish the Jedi Order? That seemed to be the more logical of the explanations as she thought on it a moment, but she said nothing of the effect just yet, deciding she could ask Luke in person later... it was probably better that way anyway, knowing it might be best not to create any kind of paradox with such limited knowledge of the worlds at hand.
After less then a full minute though Dalik was again changing his tune and asking if they should be getting on their way. Her head looked back to him and stopped wandering, listening to his reasoning and offer of stories on the return trip, but after a moment she was allowed to speak again, nodding at first. "Well we are spread thin, and your help would be welcome." She admitted at first, but then changed to speak a little further now. "... However i'm here on another mission at the moment. My informant is sitting at that wall behind you." She nodded lightly in his direction, but made no indication that Dalik was supposed to look. "Stay here, make sure no one tries to start anything, and i'll be back in a moment... we should leave quite quickly once i deal with this." She explained with a nod to the man.
Another moment and she was standing up, casually crossing the room over to the man she had originally trying to meet with before she entered in light conversation with him, collecting the information on a small data card. To seem less conspicious though she remained at the table for a moment, entering in light, but meaningless chit chat with the man for several moments before she again rose and past Dalik, gesturing for him to follow her to the exit, but kept it so subtle that if one wasn't looking for it they never would have seen it...

Dalik watched Satele leave and kept his head down as he watched her sit down with her informant and he gave a soft nod as he calmly waited. Some people began to stare him down like he was a bit strange. His style of civilian clothing was a little odd to them due to the time change, but there were only subtle differences that one would notice. The scar on his cheek was easily visible to some and when Dalik would make eye contact, they’d attempt to intimidate him and jeer and smirk. Finally, one Weequay decided to try and make some trouble. Seeing if he could get away with it as he went for his blaster and Dalik just observed, raising his hand.
“You don’t want to do this….” he’d say slyly as he watched the Weequay repeat him in his native tongue and slid the blaster back. “You want to leave this Cantina and turn yourself in” Dalik would say as he noticed a match, his datapad had an APB out for this Weequay alone. Watching the Weequay leave he’d wait for Satele to finish up. Seeing her beckon him, he’d finish his Jawa Juice and went to the bar to leave a little tip for the bartender, and gave a thank you. Dalik moved behind Satele before catching up with her.
“Well, seeing as I don’t have a ship of my own in this time, it sounds like I’m riding with you…..as I promised I have stories to share and questions to answer if you wish” Dalik nodded as he observed that same Weequay being arrested and he felt he did the right thing. Dalik was beginning to like the Old Republic a lot more….

She smiled a little bit away from Dalik at his comment as he made mention of the fact he was without a space craft and would be in need of her help to get anywhere off world. She nodded a little bit, remembering her own trip through the time slip. She had been knocked out on Alderaan by what she could only assume was the effects of the time slip, and had woken up on Dantooine in a random farmer's field. She was hardly surprised to hear the same was true; at least in part of Dalik. It wasn't like a lot of things came with her... she had even been left without her lightsaber when she arrived; it having previously been destroyed by Darth Malgus.
"Stories are certainly welcome to pass the time." She commented after a moment, pulling her cloak around herself before she spoke again over her shoulder. "I'm not sure how wise it is for you to share too much about your future with me though... if things go back to normal who knows what it could change if i have knowledge of the future." She explained, wondering if he would understand what she meant, her head looking back to him over her shoulder now before she would pull the hood up on it and continue making her way through the alley ways once more in the direction she had come from.
She would pause at one point though... realizing her mistake. In taking a path that she had already been on, it was likely that if anyone was following her, they would now what steps and points to watch her on. Already she could feel a sense of danger in the force as she looked around. "Be on your guard." She warned Dalik, but continued to walk steadily for a moment, trying to casually look upwards every now and again to see if someone was on the roof tops.
