While Revan ran back to Dathomir to fight off the undead or whatever it was he was doing Quinn took the opportunity to sneak out from under Jareth's rather unwatchful eye. With the few credits afforded to her by her benefactors, she got transport to Coruscant. Despite every unfortunate thing to happen to her since arriving through the time slip, there was one small glimmer of hope. She had heard through the news that there was a mysterious detective solving crimes on the planet. From his description it took Quinn all of a minute to recognize him to be her neighbor, frenemy, target, and occasional coworker, Aldric Cribe. If anyone could get her home it was that obnoxious genius. Once she was on the planet it didn't take her too long to find his residents in the new time. All she had to do was ask around about the annoying detective. People were more than willing to talk to her and point her in the right direction. Coruscant of this time was much different than the planet she had lived on during the Clone Wars. It was run down and more reminiscent of Nar Shaddaa. Still, she was able to find his apartment. Unfortunately for Aldric he wasn't home. Quinn made quick work of his security and made herself right at home. The food in his cooling unit was only slightly better than the food that Jareth and Revan had on hand. What was with men and not caring about the kind of food they kept? Honestly, Quinn wasn't the homemaker type but she was half tempted to make herself designated cook for the lot of them. After having a quick snack she made herself at home in Aldric's chair and waited for him to come home. Quinn idly played with her commlink while she waited. There were so many things that she needed to talk to Aldric about. The most important one being how to get home. He had been working on a cure for her mother's insanity and if he held the key to saving her mother and herself then they needed to find a way to their own time. Everything else didn't matter to Quinn. The business with Revan and Jareth did not matter so long as there was an opportunity to put her family back together. Her concentration was broken when the door of the apartment opened. Quinn was sure Aldric would catch on quickly that someone was in the apartment, yet she waited until he came to the room with the chair in it. She looked up and smiled at him. "Hello, Aldric," she greeted him, her smile turning a little sinister. "Don't worry, everything is where ya left it."Right about now Aldric was probably regretting teaching Quinn a thing or two about how to find people. Aldric Cibre

Aldric had been out of his apartment for no more then a few hours in order to pick up a few necessities that he needed for an experiment. He had a few credits to spare after working with Ahsoka Tano and Luke Skywalker, so it was little trouble for him to pick a few things up. Especially considering the nature of his experiment had to do with differences in people from the different timelines, and whether or not he could tell the differences from the many timelines that now seemed to be intertwined in this old one. If not then he was going to need new ways to figure out who was who and to adapt to the time change, but it was a start. He was also quite hopeful that he could get an understanding of it, and if that was the case, perhaps begin a steady research schedule on how to get back to his own timeline... though part of him felt that it might be a mistake to even try.
When he did eventually return home, carrying a few things in hand with him it didn't take him long to notice a few changes around the apartment. For one he could swear he smelt a perfume of some kind that he recognized from somewhere recently. By this point he was stalking slower through the room, noticing where his rug had been trampled down more. He didn't keep his rugs flat, so he could tell when someone stepped on them.. and this was just such a case. He left his things in the laboratory (Better known as the apartment's kitchen) area as he moved quietly, ready to pull his stunner or taser out from his coat if he needed it. He hung his coat up, keeping the taser in hand though as he moved into the living area, seeing the all too familiar face sitting there in his chair. He sighed lightly as he turned, setting the taser down on a table and activating the lights.
"Do make yourself at home, Quinn." He commented sarcastically as he returned his gaze on her, sighing lightly as he moved to the couch, crossing right past her without a care in the world. In fact it kind of felt like she belonged there.
Once upon a time she had lived in his apartment with him when she had no where else to live. She had been a double agent, Spying on one of his foes for him, while she also spied on him for the very same foe. In the end though Quinn sided with Aldric fully when he began helping cure her mother's illness. That was a long time in the future though, and somehow he had a guess that was what she was here for.
He flopped down on the couch, picking up the book he had been reading before he left before he was sighing a little. "Sooo... you too hmm?" He asked, referring to the fact she had been pulled through the time slip. "That narrows down the people it's bringing through considerably." He commented as if he was taking a mental note, though went right along with reading the book in his hands.

Quinn had been right to assume that Aldric was well aware of her presence before he saw her. She could tell by the fact that Aldric carried his taser with him. Quinn couldn't help but smile at this and his reaction once he recognized her. While he was exasperated and probably annoyed with her antics Quinn could tell that he was far more relaxed at seeing her. Perhaps she was becoming more skilled at sensing people's feelings, it was either that or she knew Aldric better than either one of them probably cared to admit aloud. She smiled at him and got more comfortable in his chair, as per his suggestion. "Oh, Aldric, I always do," she assured him. Her back was straight against the chair and she rested her head against her fist. Sitting across from her was the only other person in the current time line who knew her well. Jareth and Revan were perceptive Jedi but there was so much about her they did not know. Things she had no intention of telling them. Aldric on the other hand knew Quinn better than was entirely comfortable.
"Sooo... you too hmm? That narrows down the people it's bringing through considerably." Quinn gave a quick nod and looked out the window on the far wall. She'd been surprised when she had learned that Aldric had been one of the people sucked into the time slip. She wondered how many other victims there were. "Aye! I know you're not one to believe in fate-- and quite frankly neither am I-- but it seems that we just keep running into each other," Quinn agreed. "And as much as I would love to catch up with you on the how and whatever sort of knowledge you wish to bestow upon me about this---whatever, but I have some more important things to discuss with you." Quinn crossed her legs and leaned forward. She didn't like stroking Aldric's already large ego but she needed to explain to him why she had come so far to find him. "You are an egotistical arse, but you're the smartest man I know which brings me to the reason for my being here. You need to figure out how to get us home so you can heal my mother. Please tell me that mind of yours knows how to get us out of here."

He turned a page and continued reading while simultaneously listening to her as she agreed with his comment, though he smirked a little. She didn't need to know what he meant by that anyway, so he said nothing further of it as he continued his reading, waiting for her to get to her point. Her intentions really were transparent when it boiled down to it, him arching his brow as he looked over to her lightly from under his book when she finally got to the point.
Getting home and curing Quinn's mother. Really those were the only things that he could possibly see herself going this far out of her way to get to him about. At the same time though, those conveniently were the only things on the list of many many things that he really had no good answer for. He sighed lightly, replacing the book mark; though he really wouldn't need it there to remember exactly where he was leaving off, before he was tossing the book out of the way and onto the back of the couch with a sigh before he sat up and clasped his hands together. He turned to face her from the couch and looked to her, taking in a deep breath as if he was about to go into some long and drawn out explanation for all of the reasons he was here, why he believed she was hear etc etc.
His mouth dropped open a little as if he was about to start speaking, Aldric buying as much time as he could in order to try and figure out the best way to tell her what he knew. "... I've got no cure for your mother." He admitted before sighing lightly, hanging his head and ruffling the back of his hair in thought before he spoke a little further. "As for returning to the proper timeline i believe there are only a number of possibilities and i am working on that little by little." He explained, but added one last part. "As of now though.. no progress." He gestured around the apartment that was a bit of a mess and nothing like the one he had back in his time, it was old and run down, barely counting as a home at all, and the science equipment he had throughout the place was probably for an elementary school... nothing that would really help Aldric with what he needed.
"I don't exactly have the more opportune circumstances." He commented bleakly as he looked around a bit.

Quinn wanted to groan when she saw Aldric settle in for a lengthy lecture. She knew that stance, the way he stared at her meant that he intended to be long winded despite her pleas for him not to. Still, she remained still. Her eyes glazed over and she stared at him with the same bored expression she would whenever he launched into his lectures. However, this all turned out to be a trick of sorts as his answer was short and to the point. "... I've got no cure for your mother." The words hit Quinn like a blow to the gut. She couldn't keep up appearances any longer. Her brown eyes went wide and her posture slumped into the chair. She wanted to curse but all the energy from her body retreated out of her like the tide. "Wh-what?" she murmured, the shock and disappointment hung from her words. Quinn could feel herself disconnecting from herself. Her feelings overwhelmed her, making her act on them as if they were animalistic instincts. "As for returning to the proper timeline i believe there are only a number of possibilities and i am working on that little by little. As of now though.. no progress." I don't exactly have the more opportune circumstances." This answer sent her over the edge.
Quinn rose from her chair and stood there, her weight swaying back and forth. As it all sunk in she groaned in anger and kicked over the flimsy table that had been beside the chair. Any sort of composure the young woman had gained since accepting her new reality was gone. Even while she was rescued by Revan and Jareth on Dathomir she had believed that the time slip was temporary, that some how some way she'd get to go back home and put her life back together. She had put all of her faith into Aldric and he had failed her. Her burning eyes turned to him as her entire body shook. Slowly she gained the ability to speak and when she did her voice quivered slightly, though remained fairly controlled.
"You promised me," she told him, staring daggers at him. "That's why I did everything I did--to help you! To keep you safe! I risked my life for you because you said you could help her! Do you know how much danger I was in? What I risked to spy on your enemy?!? Now I have nothing to show for it!" Quinn started to pace, her hand running through her dirty blonde curls. She swallowed hard as she tried to think of what else she could say or do. After several deep breaths she was able to calm herself. "And now we're both stuck here in this kriffing time. And she's there waiting for me four thousand years from now-- and here I am talking to you instead of being with her..."

Aldric's expression was little more then confused when she seemed to react so harshly, though he should have been expecting such a reaction. He hadn't really tried hard to ease the blow that he had just delivered, and so he could imagine that to an emotional person such as herself she could be a little upset. It only seemed to go downhill from there as she stood and kicked over the small table by the chair she had been sitting in, warranting Aldric to give a sigh as he watched her do her best to calm herself down.
When she could finally speak again she seemed to be turning all of that venom onto him. Aldric looked to her, sighing as he arched his brow before speaking up, calm and almost uncaring as ever. "Believe it or not i was making some minor breakthroughs, but at the moment i am without any of the needed things to continue my research." Aldric commented, gesturing around the room once more to show he was without any modern (in relation to the two of them anyway) technology. As for her last comment about the timeline, Aldric commented once more as he spoke up. "And THAT is hardly my fault. You think i'm the one who brought you back here?" He asked almost rhetorically back to her before he was sighing again, hanging his head as he ruffled the back of his hair again and sighed.
It was around this time that he realized that there was something he could do for her... Aldric giving a small sigh as he looked up to her after a short pause and silence. "Quinn... i am thankful for your work and your help." He admitted, that part in itself being reluctant. "I think i do have something that can be done to help you... even now. At least with your mother." He sighed, barely even wanting to think about this option... but he did owe her and she was one of the last people she probably wanted to owe any kind of debt to. He knew all too well that she would make him regret it.

For the first time since leaving home, Quinn wished that she had been speaking to her brother, Tannon rather than Aldric. Aldric was good for only a few things and unfortunately ranting was not one of them. At least Tannon would sit quietly and at least try to be comforting. Aldric just stared at her with a confused look on his face, as if he were watching a child throw a tantrum. This rubbed Quinn the wrong way which almost made her start off on him again, but his words interrupted that train of thought before it went anywhere. So, their work hadn't all be for nothing. It wasn't that h had no clue or hadn't tried at all. At least there was something. And the logical side of Quinn's brain knew the time slip wasn't his fault either, not that it made her feel any better.
"Quinn...I am thankful for your work and your help. I think i do have something that can be done to help you... even now. At least with your mother." Any rage that was left at this point had dissipated. Never in all their time working together had he ever showed much appreciation for her work. Frankly, no one had ever done that, not even her family. With a sigh Quinn reluctantly sunk back into the chair, ready to deal with the world like an adult. She sat in silence for a moment before looking over at him once more. There was something off. Something other than the fact that he admitted his thanks for her time and effort. Whatever lead he had was something he did not particularly want to deal with. This caught Quinn's interest. Maybe Revan's lessons in the Force were paying off after all. Instantly her mood perked up ever so slightly. "At least there's that. Not that it does us much good unless we can get home," Quinn reminded him. "But I'm intrigued, what idea do you have?"

He narrowed his eyes a little, as if daring her to accept the idea he had in mind before he sighed lightly. When she did finally accept it he instantly regretted offering the idea to her, knowing he now had to live up to it as he sighed a bit, pulling his knees up and wrapping his arms around them, resting his chin between both knees. After a moment of thought he eventually pulled up a little, dropping his knees off the edge of the couch again before he clasped his hands together and rested his chin on the fingertips instead.
"I know of a ... doctor." Aldric explained, biting the last word and gritting his teeth a little as he even thought about the situation. "He, i'm sure, could help you with this situation, especially if i gave him the research i have." Aldric explained as he looked over to Quinn, his features seeming to be contorted in disgust that he would have to go through with all of this. "He's from our time, just as advanced as any of my science... and he came through the time slip too... sometime recently as close as i can figure." He explained the last bits of useful information to her, though he was almost seeming to plead a little ... ever so lightly... that she didn't accept this last line of possible help.

It was clear that Aldric was very uncomfortable with the options at hand. He owed her, and luckily enough seemed willing (even begrudgingly so) to follow through. Quinn didn't need the Force to see that Aldric disliked whatever option he had. This scientist, or doctor, or whatever he was clearly wasn't someone that Aldric wanted to meet with. As he explained his tone got more desperate, pleading with her to not take the option. If Aldric thought that she was going to let her mother rot away in her insanity and allow her own mind to eventually betray her so he didn't have to call this doctor then he was wrong.
Quinn leaned forward, looking him dead in the eye. She held his gaze for a moment, making sure that he knew how serious she was about what she was about to say. "Aldric, we've worked well together for some time and I can appreciate that but if you think for one minute I am going to give up a cure for my mother and myself to make you more comfortable then I'm afraid that you don't know me very well," her gaze hardened and her tone took on a much firmer, commanding voice. "Make the call."

Aldric had to groan a little as he was already well aware what kind of reaction Quinn would be giving him. Really it wasn't all that surprising. She would put Aldric through unneeded discomfort just to have fun with him, putting him through it so she could get something more important out of it would be obvious for her, and he doubted she would lose sleep over it.
After less then a few seconds of replying to her, and showing in no uncertain terms with his facial features that he wasn't going to be a fan of this idea though, Quinn was trying to stare him down with the fact. He sighed a bit. It wasn't the stare down that really got him to give in, so much as the fact he was a man of his word. No matter how much he disliked the idea he did owe Quinn for more then one occasion, and she was promised a cure for her mother and the mental illness that was apparently still rampant in her own blood. He narrowed his eyes in disappointment all the same though at the idea before he was shaking his head a little. "Nope, can't call. I know where to find him though." Aldric explained with a small sigh, looking to her and then to his chrono.
He sighed a bit, having been hoping for a moment that perhaps it was too late to leave. Professionally speaking it was late, and the location would probably be closed by now. Aldric took a breath and looked back up to Quinn. "It's late though... there is a high chance he won't be there. You should stay in the extra room until morning." He nodded a little at her before he was shrugging a bit. "It's not a mansion, but you've lived in worse conditions." He warned her lightly, his way of saying that this apartment wasn't as spruced up as his old one back in their time line.

Quinn was less than pleased about the idea of waiting even longer to get some answers about her mother's cure. Yet there seemed to be no other option readily available to them. She had snuck away from Jareth and Revan, which was to say that neither one of them knew exactly where she was. If this ordeal with Aldric and whoever it was he did not want to make contact with took too long Quinn would have to leave. She wasn't entirely sure how to break that news to him either. Hopefully Aldric didn't plan on her staying with him indefinitely. If he didn't know how to get back then her best bet was to remain in the care of Revan and Jareth. She huffed lightly and got up from her chair. "I'll see you in the morning," she told him shortly. She started to leave the room but then remembered the overturned table and returned to put it back. "Good night." Quinn left the room quickly and found the spare room which was empty save for a small bed. Aldric was right, it wasn't as nice as his old place.
Quinn tried to settle in and sleep but found it hard to do so. She spent the better part of the night pacing around her room, trying to come to terms with the seeming permanence of her situation. She was also sure to send a short message to Jareth to make sure that he didn't assume that she had skipped town on them. Somehow she sensed that Revan wouldn't appreciate that given how he did not like people knowing what his real face looked like. Throughout the night Quinn was able to take short naps before being woken up again.
In the morning, as the sun started to peek over the horizon of Coruscant, Quinn decided that it was time to wake Aldric up. She found three of the thickest books in his collection that she could find. From there she quietly slipped into his room and stood by his bed, waiting for the right moment. Sensing that Aldric was still deep in sleep, She slammed the books down onto the hard floor with all her strength. The sound of the books coming to the ground would be enough to wake the sleeping man. Once he was awake Quinn shot a smile at him that was hardly genuine. "Good morning, Aldric!" her voice was overly cheerful. "Beautiful day to go see this doctor friend of yours. Get up, let's get going."

It seemed that as he had reasoned with her she was willing to drop the topic for the moment. Aldric hadn't really been trying to dodge the situation so much as it really was too late to catch the man they were looking for, and Aldric knew he would probably be the first person out the doors of the clinic when his timer went off... even with his limp.
She seemed to relent though and was getting up to head to the bed, though Aldric said or did nothing in return... waiting a moment for her to stop. She did of course as she looked back to the lamp stand she had knocked over and went to return it to it's proper place before she bid him a good night and went off to bed in the room he had designated. He sighed lightly, narrowing his eyes a bit at the morning he knew was coming.
As if he could prevent the day from coming though, Aldric went to the kitchen, deciding to take care of a few experiments he had going, and spend hours into the night reading on a few points he had been on clear on about this new timeline. Deep down he probably knew he couldn't put off meeting the man at the Clinic, but that didn't stop him from at least trying his hardest to put it off... even if it really wasn't doing anything.
When he did finally sleep it was well past midnight and into the early hours of the day, and his sleep was cut short with the slamming of his books onto the floor. Aldric already was very observant... some called it an uncanny sense of his. Even in his sleep he was often well aware of things around him, though that didn't stop him from ignoring her then and there. Still one eye did open at the sound and Quinn's morning greeting. Aldric pulled his wrist up so he could see it before he buried his face even deeper in his pillow, mumbling through it. "Not yet... we're still on Emergency room hours." Aldric argued with a small sigh.

Quinn had hoped for a bit more theatrical response from Aldric. She watched him, arms folded over her chest. His comment about being on emergency room hours made little sense to her. "Emergency room what?" She cocked her head to the side as if trying to make sense of it. That quickly became too tiresome so she switched tactics. Quinn circled around the bed until she was at the foot of it. She yanked the covers off of Aldric in order to force him out of bed. Whoever it was they were going to see they were going to get ready now. Aldric was clearly dragging his feet on the issue so she didn't feel one once of guilt when it came to dragging him out of bed.
"I don't care what hours we are on. We are going to see that man and we are doing it first thing in the morning." she told him. "I don't know about you but if you're not taking us back to our time then I have other places to be. I can't spend all my time waiting on you to drag yourself out of bed." She made large strides towards his closet, rummaging through his clothes, searching for something for him to wear. It wasn't that hard since Aldric's color pallet was bland. Perhaps he kept it this way so he could pick out an outfit with his eyes half closed. She flung the clothes on the bed and turned all the lights on. She then turned to face Aldric who no doubt was irked at her methods for getting him out of bed.

He grumbled a little bit at the fact his words had gone right over her head... for some reason Aldric never seemed to get used to the fact that even by accident he could run circles around her with nothing more then just words. Or perhaps it was possible that he wasn't being entirely coherent in his half asleep state. He was about to mumble his answer back up to her, shaking his head a little bit, but he didn't get the chance before the blankets were unceremoniously yanked away from him. This was followed shortly after by her moving to the closet and pulling out his outfit for the day, tossing things onto the bed for him. Aldric had been more then capable of ignoring the whole thing without such much of a flinch, just waiting for her to calm down enough that he could re-explain his reasoning to her. What got the reaction from him though was when the lights were switched on and then the blinds were flung open, allowing light to fluster in all at once. He groaned a bit, burying his head into his pillow to save his eyes that hadn't adjusted to any kind of daylight yet. "God..." He moaned a little with a venomous hiss into the pillow. He did finally move to sit upwards, though he kept his eyes winced, narrowed to let them adjust more at a comfortable speed. "He's not even going to be in yet!" He commented with a moan before he pushed himself out of the bed, grabbing the clothes she had pulled out for him, but motioned for her to shoe out of the room. If there was one thing Aldric knew well, it was that the Doctor in question wouldn't be into the Hospital until he absolutely had to. He had a way of shirking his duties when it came to his clinic hours, and if he could help it, it wouldn't be at the hospital unless he had some kind of a special or interesting case. The man wouldn't be there until last minute, this Aldric was sure of, and so it was pointless for them to get there early. Move... shoe shoe. He spoke, making sweeping motions with his hands to get her out of the room, allowing him time to get himself dressed at the very least. Eventually he returned from the room, moving up to the kitchen unit to get something simple rounded up for breakfast as he poured cereal for himself, pouring blue milk onto it before he ate it, glaring lightly at Quinn for a moment. Once he was done with this... being sure to eat slowly just to spite her... he got his coat and scarf before he was heading out, grabbing an air taxi for them to head to the clinic in question.
