No sooner than he had made his presence known on the battlefield did the tide turn. The dead that he had just checked on sprang to life. Revan jumped backed, reached for his side, and quickly ignited his lightsaber. A blood red blade of concentrated light manifested from the hilt. The hiss of the ignition, and subsequent hums when he swung the weapon echoed across the landscape. The Sith's lightsaber met undead flesh time and again as he struck down foe after foe. However, Revan soon realized that his efforts were in vain. He quickly turned to his comm device and spoke an order for all of those still alive to hear.
"Retreat if you do not have bladed weapons. They don't die when you hit them. I have heard of this before, but I thought it was just a tale. I am not sure whether this is the work of the Force or otherwise. I will only give this order one more time! Retreat if you are not skilled in fighting with blades. I think the only way to win is to cut their heads off."
With a grunt he swung his blade in an attempt to land a horizontal slash on the reanimated Sith soldier in front of him. Luckily, the blow connected and the undead warrior was relieved of its head. Revan did not know what t make of the current situation. He had heard there was a means through the Force to return someone to the living, but the cost had to be great if such a means truly existed. Having been in contact with both sides of the Force, this just didn't seem to fit the bill. Whatever this was happened to be far more sinister than anything he had ever encountered. For the first time, it felt as if there was an actual wound in the Force. The Jedi fallen from grace could feel it, and it was likely that those sensitive to the Force all across the galaxy would soon feel it if they did not already do so. Whatever mind, no, whatever soul created such a power was responsible for an abomination. Such display of power had to manifest from some inexplicable twisted desire. Why of all places had thus affected Tython?
He could not afford to mull over the unfolding situation for too long. He dodged an incoming blow, and threw his lightsaber like boomerang. Controlled with the Force, the weapon cleaved off a few more heads before Revan caught the weapon by the hilt, turned around, and cut another head clean from the owner's neck. The smell of singed flesh began to leak through his mask and soon the overwhelming stench of death clogged his nostrils. The man doubled over and wanted to vomit. So much death...
His eyes began to burn and water. His breaths were more shallow. Soldiers gathered around and began to push back the undead as Revan fought to recover. he slid his mask up, and began to spit. This was the first time in a long time that he had lost his composure. If Malum saw him, he would undoubtedly not here the end of it. The Sith Lord regained his composure after a few minutes. In their immediate vicinity, there was no more of the undead horde to deal with. He slid his mask back into place, back turned away from everyone, and then rose to his feet. The smell of death lingered in his nostrils, and he knew it was a smell that he would never forget. Before coming here for the holocrons he had meditated in a cave while constructing new lightsaber. That weapon was still on his hilt, but he could clearly recall envisioning scenes of death. Back then he had dismissed them as mere hallucinations that were a result of the doubt he had to purge within himself. Now...now he had no idea.
"Damn. Everyone, get to the ships. They will provide with enough protection from the rest of these abominations. Get used to this though! We are not leaving until none of these things are left! They are no longer your brothers. Feel no fear in striking them down!"

(sorry for the wait, guys)
Emmi knew better than to care about her master's lack of reaction to the carnage that had taken place not far from where they were. The sith and their soldiers were their enemies but the agony they had endured still made the young woman uncomfortable. Luckily, though he agreed that they needed to find Obi-Wan and Jack. His scanners had indicated that there was no other life in the caves which meant that all the Jedi that had come before them were dead. Still, Obi-Wan and Jack were still there. Emmi glanced over her master's shoulder at the scanner, spotting the human female that it picked up. Something in her guy told her it was her friend. "That might be Jack," Emmi said, pointing to the scanner. "But it looks like Obi-Wan isn't with her...where is he?" Her brow furrowed as the master and padawan pair picked up their speed. The other Jedi stayed close but slowly began to fan out, not wanting to be in a giant clump. Emmi stayed close to Daniel, as he had requested.
As they neared the temple and the forests and caves surrounding it Emmi got the feeling that there was something wrong, or something else was wrong. Not long after this feeling Emmi heard the sound of death. She jumped and turned to face the direction the attack had come from. There she saw one of the sith soldiers had attacked and taken down one of the young Jedi at the edge of their group. Immediately her eyes went wide and her hand went to her lightsaber. However, as she gazed on the scene longer she realized something even more horrifying than the death of a comrade. The man who had taken the woman down was dead. Or at least he should have been. The soldier's armor had been ripped open, revealing his organs and bones. His left arm was twisted at an unnatural angle but his right arm was uninjured enough to operate his weapon. Another Jedi engaged the man, first slicing his weapon in half followed by stabbing him through the chest but to no affect. Shocked, the Jedi jumped back in shock.
This was not natural and Emmi could think of no reason for why the man would be standing let alone attacking them. "How is that possible?" Emmi gasped as she stepped back towards her master in shock of what was happening. "He's dead! He's supposed to be dead!" If anyone would know what was going on it would be her master since he studied biology. Quickly the group began to retreat, unsure of how to fight this strange new foe.

As they headed toward the cave, the duo was getting separated from the rest of the Jedi group. Daniel didn't mind that. He knew his limits, indeed. But he was also very confident of himself. He believed he could survive difficult situations, if he faced any. Of course, it wasn't always about swinging a lightsaber. He saw many other ways out of situations.
His eyes were on the scanner, as they approached toward their destination. It would alert them about any possible threats. Even the hidden ones. But everything had an exception in the end. Once they came across a Jedi who was recently attacked and slaughtered, Daniel found himself staring at the scene with wide blue eyes. The enemy was certainly not living. He didn't need to check his scanner to prove that fact. The condition of the body of the Sith was already making it obvious. No one was able to continue life like that.
Instead of reaching for his lightsaber, the Consular kept tapping at the holographic buttons of his scanner to collect every bits of information on this undead. His expression was serious, yet there was this certain gleam of excitement in his eyes. "Interesting." He murmured, mostly to himself. Biology was his specialty and he had read some speculations about undead. But no one had actually witnessed one before. All the possibilities of studies, if he was to get his hands on one.
"Fascinating." Another murmur. Perhaps, this was the point he needed to start attacking them. But here Daniel was admiring this very presence. "We should take one back to the temple with us." Again, he was talking to himself. Emmi was attacking the undead in the meanwhile and they didn't seem any effected by that. Of course... It made perfect sense. One couldn't kill the dead.
The Jedi group was retreating with the exception of Daniel, who acted like a kid in candy shop. He couldn't ever stop collecting more scans of this undead, putting his life into danger. Not that he was aware of it. He was too distracted by this unexpected turn of events.

Jack's lightsaber moved back and forth; there was never more than a moment where she didn't have to raise it and cut someone down. They just kept coming back! Jack turned and sprinted deeper into the cave, the only light was the silvery glow of her saber. The way through the darkness was haphazardess, and if Jack hadn't had the Force to help guide her through the dark, she may have ended up in worse shape than the bruised knee and torn shirt she leaped out of the cave with. Dashing out and into the opening, Jack wasn't paying quite enough attention or she wouldn't have ran into something solid. Both Jack and the object tumbled to the ground, and the Padawan found herself staring right into a dead man's face. She could tell he was a dead man because of the blood dripping out of a gaping wound in his forehead. On the other had, his eyes were wide open, and he was moving.
"Auugh!" Jack was up on her feet, stumbling away and the creature arose. Whoom! Whoom! Her saber flew in an arc across the man, who proceeded to stumble back, glance at his missing arm, and start toward the young Jedi again. Jack turned and fled. Looking up she realized she was running straight at--
"Emmi!" Jack was moving too fast, and whether or not Emmi had time to move aside to avoid toppling over along with her, Jack found herself lying on the ground again. She laughed, nervously, and climbed back to her feet, grinning eagerly at her friend. "Good to see you're still in one piece, Em," Jack said. "The dead are running all over the place."

By this point Obi-Wan was slowed to a stalking pace through the entrance way of the Tythonian Jedi Temple that had been abandoned. His saber was in hand, though deactivated to keep quiet and the ears off of him. Did the dead even use their ears? Obi-Wan wasn't sure really, but it certainly didn't hurt him to take the extra precaution. As he stalked down the halls he could hear the sound of terrified screams outside, blaster fire and faint lightsaber sounds all being used to kill the already dead.
If he made it through all of this, and if the Jedi won and if he could get a good specimen, Obi-Wan hoped to recover a body and examine it, much like when he had wanted to examine the parasite on Geonosis. No Anakin around this time to ruin that for him... Unless Jack did. Originally he had thought that something similar to those brain worms could be the cause now, but this was different. Instead of select victims, any of the dead seemed to be effected, and the only way that could be the case was if the air around them was somehow laced with something... Obi-Wan highly doubted anything like that was possible.
Not for this timeline anyway.
He continued to make his way through the entrance way that circled around, saber held at the ready for any kind of surprise attacks. That's when Obi-Wan noticed something... he couldn't sense the presence of any of these Undead... not being living, they didn't actually give off an aura like anyone else did. At the realization Obi-Wan spun, checking to make sure he wasn't being followed, knowing he would need to rely on his physical senses now. "Wonderful!" He whispered to himself as he continued down the halls, his eyes peeled as he looked for the zombies.
When he made it into the hall, there were Jedi that had been there the night before... Jedi that the Sith attackers had slaughtered this morning when Obi-Wan and Jack had been on the way to the temple... and who were now turning against Obi-Wan. His Saber beamed to life as he held it out defensively in front of himself... his face contorting in disgust at the level of pain the Jedi must have been in when the Sith had killed them. Some were burnt to the point of being Stiff (stiffer then normal for a dead person) Some had been tortured or gutted, and others had been ripped limb from limb. What was worse was that they didn't get to rest in peace now either, as Obi-Wan had to finish it for the Sith. There was a moment of hesitation as Obi-Wan lifted his saber to block the lightsaber of the undead, before Obi-Wan pushed off with a grunt and returned the attack. Them being slow this wasn't a hard fight for the Experienced Jedi Master, Obi-Wan... even if there were a small number of the Zombies. He learned he could kill them for good by severing their heads.
After a few rounds he stopped, sighing heavily at what he had had to do before he was deactivating his saber again and dashing back through the temple to he libraries, hoping to find some way to end this...

Revan along with the others began to race towards the ships. When the dark Jedi was sure that his men were on the ships he motioned for them to take off without him. Revan then turned once more to face the unholy horde. His breathing calm as he became more sure of himself. There were just too many of them. At the rate that the undead were surrounding him, he would have to resort to more terrible measures to insure his own survival. As he looked around, it appeared that Malum was also gone along with the others. So, it was he along with the Jedi that had not been killed during the initial raid. Revan jumped above the crowd, and out of towards the entrance of the archives where he had taken the holocrons.
Revan could hear the sounds of a lightsaber before it finally ended. Was the wielder dead? There was no way to be sure. He could only hear the echoes of footsteps. In that moment, the dark Jedi decided to find out what he could in that direction. As it currently stood, the others had stopped being mesmerized by his feat and resumed the chase. The sheer numbers of the undead force were not enough for him to handle, and Force powers did little to stop them. So, Revan ran off into the direction of the sounds in hopes of perhaps luring someone else to aid him in the fight. I don't know how this is even happening. There is no outer signs of there being any shifts in the Force. As it stands, there is no sound explanation for this. Is this a test of the planet? I have heard of such tests in the old ways. To actually come to witness something like this though? I have heard that this place was once homes to practitioners of both sides of the Force. It would be interesting to return here one day and study up on that. Right now I need to get this place under control though. I may have to use the new lightsaber. It would been great to have brought the old one along to trick the Jedi into thinking I was still amongst their ranks, but the Force decided that wasn't to be in the cards today.
"Damn. I knew I couldn't count on that coward Malum. I have to enlist the help of the Jedi now. This is not good...not good at all."

Emmi, along with the other Jedi attempted to retreat while the undead surged forward. All of her concentration went to fending off the walking dead. She only drew her attention away to look around for the other Jedi. She could hear them but not see them. Her thoughts turned to her Master whom she could not see or hear or sense to be nearby. She groaned worriedly before retreating further into the treeline. As she fell back she found herself retreat into the caves that lead into the temple. She was willing to bet that the Jedi from her group would make their way here and perhaps it was less likely for the dead to follow. Feeling somewhat safe she allowed herself to ketch her breath. The glow of her green blade light her path as she ventured deeper into the tunnels.
Moments before it happened Emmi sensed something coming, something familiar. From around a corner came Jack who slammed right into her. Both women were knocked off of their feet and Emmi's lightsaber rolled to the other side of the tunnel. "Emmi!" "Jack!" she sounded as relived as she felt. Her best friend was alive and apparently safe. "Good to see you're still in one piece, Em...the dead are running all over the place." "Y-yeah I noticed," Emmi stood and brushed herself off, calling her saber back to her side. The young woman took the opportunity to look around the cave. She looked past Jack hoping to see Master Kenobi or Master Dumah but saw neither. She circled around Jack, making her way towards another tunnel. "We shouldn't stay here. We should go into the temple...that's probably where the others are going and we should find them. Jack, where's Master Kenobi?"

Perhaps, it was no surprise for Daniel to fall back from the group and wander around alone. He might not be the best lightsaber wielder out there. After all, he was a Consular. He was a Researcher. He wasn't meant to be a Guardian. But still, he was capable of taking care of himself. And if it came to that, he would fight with all he got before anything.
Now his lightsaber was clipped back to his utility belt and he was kneeling before a corpse, who was attacking them only moments ago. Having his scanner in his hand, the Jedi moved it from head to toe; collecting all the information his scanner could. His eyes remained on the screen to start analysing the facts. Everything else was lost to him. With his pure concentration on the dead body, Daniel was open for any kind of attack. But to his luck, there wasn't anyone nearby.
Scanning the body wasn't just enough, of course. He had to open it and examine everything in microbiological state. The most important area was the head. Everything was focusing on the brain, so the rest of the body was no use for him.
So Daniel gave a quick glance around and found no one. He was all alone. That was good. Because he wasn't sure, if anyone would be approving his next actions. Unclipping his lightsaber from his belt, he activated it and looked down at the corpse's neck. He was going to take the head to home with him.
