@jack
Obi-Wan Kenobi was still very much coming to terms with the fact he had somehow found himself set in the past... no longer a Part of the Clone Wars or the world that he was used to. Until he could find a way to return to the time he knows better, he has resigned himself to living in this time... 4000 years before anything he knows. The Jedi order of this time has accepted him back into their ranks, giving him a position of Jedi Master, and without the Clone Wars weighing so heavily on his mind, it was suggested that he live up to the title of Master and take on a student somewhere...
He was deep in meditation now as he was considering this. If he was stuck here, and the force did not will him to return to his own time, then perhaps it was best for him to settle in sooner rather then later, learning the ropes of the time that he lived in. His armor was now removed from his person, being locked away in a chest at the foot of his bed. He had retrieved Qui-Gon Jinn's lightsaber, which had been in the cargo compartment of his Starfighter, and set it on a shelf in the room. He was hovering in the middle of the room, eyes closed as he was considering everything, his lightsaber hanging just out of reach as it floated in front of him... giving him something familiar to focus on during his meditation.
The experienced Jedi master came back with a heavy list of knowledge which this time did not know of yet... and which he could pass on, but he feared it could risk altering histories... tampering with the force. All of the options weighed on his mind as he looked ahead to the day, knowing he was supposed to be meeting a potential Padawan soon. A young girl without a master... Obi-Wan didn't know of all the details, but he planned on getting them when he met her later. His eyes opened with a sigh, unfolding his legs as he touched the floor, reaching to pluck his saber from the air and place it back on hie belt. He exited the room, pulling his outer robe from the wall as he began to head into the halls and headed for the Council Chamber. There wasn't a meeting in session, so it was empty, however he knew this was where he was supposed to meet his possible Padawan, Jack.

((Ben that signature is adorable. I can't focus on writing with that guy grinning ahead. He looks like he's having a ball. ))
Whoom! Whoom! Whoom! The sound of the lightsaber spinning through the air filled the courtyard. The morning sun beat down on sweat-coated golden hair as Jack moved back and forth, the silver glow moving elegantly in practiced moves. It was only the basic Shii-Cho form, but Jack had mastered it fairly quickly, and was currently practicing to touch up on her skills. After a few moments, an observer would have noticed her switch to something a little different. The blade twisted this way and that in the elegant form all Jedi seemed to possess when using their weapons, until Jack peered up at the sun and realized it was probably getting late. The blade retracted into its hilt, which was then clipped to her belt. Pulling her sleeves down from their rolled up position, Jack then turned and into the Temple. It was quiet, only a slight murmur filling the air as a few Jedi conversed quietly in a corner. Climbing up the stairs, it didn't take Jack long at all to find the entrance to the Council Hall. She'd only been there twice; once when she had first arrived, and only recently when it was decided she was done with her basic training and was ready to receive a master. She'd been concerned they would send her to the Works. It made sense; she had begun her training extremely late, and her opinions sometimes varied from the Jedi Ways. Apparently a stranger new to the Order had chosen her. One who claimed to arrive in the Time Flux, from the future. It was an interesting for being different, but Jack couldn't help but wonder how different this Obi-Wan would be from the other Jedi. Arriving at the large double doors, Jack carefully pushed one open and stepped inside, peering around. Obi-Wan was already there, looking around. "Are you Master Kenobi?" Jack asked, approaching him easily and pushing her blonde hair out of her eyes.

((O.O.C--- i know! it's so distracting i love it XD))
He crossed the empty room for a moment, looking to the different chairs and trying to guess which council members sat where, at the same time being reminded of where he had sit back in the Clone Wars when he had been on the Jedi Council. As it was his knowledge was appreciated by these Jedi, but he had yet to connect enough to this time that he was ready for a position on the council, even if they had asked him to join them again... which at the time wasn't an issue.
Off to the side was a training room, several mats laid out on the floor for martial arts and lightsaber training, chests and lockers being found in order to find items for lightsaber construction, Obi-Wan assuming this is where the young Jedi came to build their first lightsabers at this time. He clearly had much to learn of the customs of this time, and though the side effects of his time shift had worn off thanks to the Jedi who had found him after he had shown up, Emmi Daneb.
He sighed lightly, still finding it hard to believe all of this had happened, yet at the same time had so fully resigned himself to being in this timeline before he was moving to one of the seats, thinking it wise to sit and wait for this Padawan to arrive. Surprisingly enough despite what little he had heard about her, she was actually on time and arrived only a few moments later. He looked over to her, nodding in reply to her question as it hung in the air no longer then a few moments before he was beginning to change directions, walking to her now. "Yes i am, and you are Jack Montari i take it?" He asked, giving a slight, sagely bow to her in greeting.

Jack looked the man over carefully. Appearance-wise, he wasn't anything special, although he could be considered handsome. His eyes carried the weariness all Jedi seemed to have. He looked at her carefully, and spoke, answering her question and giving a slight bow.
"Yes I am, and you are Jack Montari I take it?"
"I am," Jack replied. There was a moment of awkward silence. "Why did you want me as your padawan?" She blurted it out before she could stop herself. He was from the a different timeline, or so she heard. Why had he chosen her of all people? Jack looked at the council seats arranged in a circle around the room, then back at her would-be master. "You were on the council, weren't you?" It was more of a statement than a question. Jack prided herself on her ability to read people, and right now she could read the longing, or even just familiarity, in the man's gaze.
Silently, they stepped out of the council hall and into the training room. Jack felt more comfortable in here than the room where all the most powerful Jedi gathered to discuss galactic problems.

Within a few seconds of him asking his question, Jack was answering it in the affirmative before he smiled lightly and nodded. "Good." He said, glad to know they could continue then with that out of the way. There was a moment of silence afterwards though before they began moving to the training room, it being interrupted by her asking some very direct questions. Obi-Wan chuckled lightly at them before he was nodding lightly, beginning to walk with her then.
"Well i didn't choose you... The Council assigned you to me. Though when they gave me what details about you they had i was eager to meet you." He admitted with a small nod before the second question came, it sounding more like an accusation. Obi-Wan paused with surprise for a moment as he looked down to her before he nodded a bit, smiling lightly as he showed he was clearly impressed with her.
"In my time yes i was. Impressive, and very perceptive." He commented with a tone of complementing to her as he looked down to her still, stopping when they made it to the benches in the training room. Obi-Wan then sat down, leaning forward as he rested a hand on his knee, helping him face her as he looked to her, keeping eye contact. "I must admit they didn't tell me very much though..." He explained before he continued. "You seem to me like you would be worthy of a master already." He commented, leading up to the question he had on his mind. "Am i missing something?" He asked, tilting his head inquisitively as he looked to her in hopes she would be willing to answer the question.
