Xilaren listen once again to the message that she had gotten a few hours ago from a friend that was in distress. The young jedi knight had just been enjoying a moment free at the temple when she was given the distress call. A female friend that Xilaren had known for years now, ever since she had saved her a group of slavers. Rosa was her name and she was close to Xliaren, almost like a sister. Of course Xilaren had many friends but there was something about this young girl that captured Xilaren heart; maybe it was because she was so much younger then Xilaren or maybe it was because of the situation that Xilaren saved her from. The jedi didn’t know nor did she really question it.
Xilaren’s eyes were focus on the planet that the distress call had come from, the flight had taken a few hours; the whole time Xilaren’s mind was wondering what trouble her friend could be in the warrant such a call. The masters at the temple had warned her not to go, they sensed that there was something more to this call then just a friend calling for help; but Xilaren brushed off their warnings and went off anyway. Confident that there was nothing she couldn’t handle.
Xilaren landed and jumped out of her little craft, using the force to search for her friend, feeling the panic and pain of her friend but nothing else. Xilaren mind was so blinded with the pain of her friend that she didn’t notice that there was a another person that was here as well, someone she had hunted a few times and was now paying her back for all that she had done.

The young woman had shoulder length brown hair. Her skin was tanned and the tears in her eyes were gleaming in the camp area, reflected by the fire. It was chilly at this hour of the night. But soon they were going to have a guest. Then the real party could begin.
Rosa sobbed loudly, sitting before the camp fire on her knees; head bowed. She was unhappy, but mostly scared. She wanted to run away, but accepted the fact it was fruitless. She was hopeless. But not entirely. There was still hope. If only her friend came here to save her, then she still would have a chance to survive. So she held onto that crumb of hope, but still couldn't help with her tears.
There was no one around in the meanwhile. Her kidnapper wasn't anywhere to be seen. She was scared of him very much. Not only he was an evil man to capture her and drag her to this planet, he also looked like a demon.
So in the silence of the night, Rosa's sobs filled in the air. She kept crying.

Xilaren forced herself to stay calm to find her friend, picking up her young friend Rosa’s feeling; one of fear; easy enough. The fact that her friend was scared was causing Xilaren’s own heart to race; she had never been very good at keeping her emotions out of everything. That was one of the many things people wondered why she ever became a jedi knight; it was also something that tended to get her into a lot of trouble as well. The was the reason why she wasn’t able to feel the other present that was holding Rosa in danger, Xilaren’s mind was to focus on her friend and her friend’s pain to noticed the darkness around all of it.
It was growing dark but that didn’t bother Xilaren, she didn’t need light to know where she was going. The planet was wild and it was clear that many of the inhabitants were of a primitive nature, living most likely in skin huts and cooking with fire. Xilaren had no idea how her friend had ended up here, but she was sure it wasn’t on her own. That would mean someone else had dragged Rosa here, though whether or not they were still around she couldn’t say. Part of Xilaren was sure that they had left after all how else would Rosa be able to seen the distress message.
It took Xilaren and hour or so walking through the over growth of trees and other plant life, but she soon saw the fire in the distance and the small person kneeling beside it who she knew was Rosa. “Rosa” She shouted breaking into a run toward her friend.

The young woman's eyes were widened, when she heard her friend's voice. Then her heart started to beast fast with a great hope rushing through her veins, pumping to the rest of her body. "Xilaren!" She shouted over the camp fire, her eyes puffed up and wet. She was ready to get on her feet and start running. She actually went for that, pushing herself up. But her knees did hurt, a bit wobbly because of sitting on them for too long.
Yet a brute force pulled her up, as her hair was yanked from behind. Then she was barely standing on her toes, when her back was pressed against a solid body. He was so much taller than the young woman. There was no need to compare their strength levels.
Her kidnapper held her like that, as the Jedi approached. Maul didn't even need to hide away or cover his face. He wanted her to see who she was dealing with. Yet he spoke no words and just waited for that painful woman to get even closer. After all those times she played with him, now it was his turn. And his sense of playfulness was very different from the Jedi.

Xilaren couldn’t help but smile when she saw her friend, even more so when she saw her friend stand up even though Rosa was shaky. Surely everything was going to be alright, so Xilaren rushed forward to help her friend, but that was when the happiness turned to dread as Xilaren stopped in her progress toward her friend to look at the dark figure that had come out of the shadows. He had walked up behind Rosa and pull the young girl up to her feet by her hair. Xilaren knew who it was, how she could not. She had hunted him down twice now, had even bitten his neck once. Yes she knew him very well, had done everything she could their last meetings to push him with frustration and now it was clear that it was his turn to play. But instead of innuendoes or comments he was willing to play with someone’s life to get Xilaren’s attention.
“She has nothing to do with any of this, you’re dealing are with me.” Xilaren voice didn’t hold any manor of joking or teasing like it normaly would when she faced off with Maul. No this voice was clear and cool, she didn’t’ want to make Maul angry at this point, not with Rosa’s life on the line. Xilaren might be careless in her own life but she never would risk the life of another person. “You wanted me here, so I’m here. You don’t need her anymore.”

Maul easily noticed the she-Jedi was no longer able to spill out smart words. She was certainly not playful. No, she was concerned instead. There was no trace of that strange flirting personality of hers. And Maul liked this version better. He was going to like it more, when she would cry in agony. But he could be patient with this strange woman. It was his turn to play, now the tables were turned.
He didn't need to speak any words, as he held the younger woman in his fierce clutch; fragile hair in his strong fist. He had no eyebrows to arch, but this would be a good time for that action; now the female Jedi was trying with a more diplomatic solution. Of course, she would want her friend to be released and walk away of this. Maul had expected such a suggestion. Yet he saw no benefit in that. In fact, he had plans involving the younger woman.
Rosa sobbed and started to beg for her life, but Maul kept her in place. He ignored his hostage. "Get disarmed." He said too calmly, tone rather smooth yet authoritative. His golden eyes never left the Jedi.

The tables had turned now, Maul was clearly the one in control of this encounter as Xilaren stood there watching him hold her friend by her hair. She didn’t want to say anything that would get her friend killed, or even make a move toward Maul to try and stop him. All she could do was stand there and plead with him. This was the first time that Xilaren felt truly helpless to do anything, the fiery spark that was her personality was gone. Even Rosa was starting to beg for her life but Maul ignored her, his eyes were fully on Xilaren right now and he was clearly enjoying being the one in charge.
Their eyes were locked on each other, and his order was very calm. Xilaren didn’t move right away it was almost like she couldn’t, but after a deep breath she pulled her lightsaber off her belt and threw it to the side. “Now let her go, I’ve done as you asked.” Xilaren knew Maul wanted her dead, she had insulted him too much; wounded to much of what pride he had left. She had finally pushed someone to far and now she was going to pay for it, though if it spared Rosa’s life then Xilaren would gladly die. Rosa after all was innocent in all of this.

Of course, Maul enjoyed this situation a great deal. He loved to be in purely in control. He had an obsession with dominating. This moment was what he lived for. The Jedi was going to do whatever he told her. There was no other choice, when he held this young woman as his hostage.
As expected the redheaded Jedi was throwing her lightsaber away, disarming herself easily. But before the weapon fell to the ground, Maul was stretching his gloved hand forward to summon the Jedi's saber to his grip. This way the female wouldn't be able to reach to her weapon again. Maul preferred to keep her disarmed. He didn't care about fair challenges. He owed no one for any.
Once the lightsaber was in his hand, Maul flicked it to life and brought the laser end close to the young woman's neck as a threat. "No. We are not done here." He said with that same gentle tone again. Rosa stopped struggling in his grip, too afraid the lightsaber would touch her neck.
"Cuff yourself." Another order came, as he tossed a pair of steel hand cuffs at the Jedi's way by telekinesis. The key to that was of course, on Maul and no one else.

Xilaren lighsaber didn’t even hit the ground, as she threw it to the side Maul had used the force and called it to him. To add insult to injury however he activated her saber and held it at Rosa’s throat, Xilaren had to force herself not to move forward to stop him; knowing she would never reach Rosa in time. Maul however wasn’t done just yet, using telekinesis he tossed a pair of hand cuffs at Xilaren.
Xilaren looked down at the cuffs that rested at her feet. If this was any other situation where someone’s life didn’t depend on Xilaren doing everything that Maul ordered her to do then she would have made a comment about Maul wanting her in cuffs. Even right now her brain was flooded with flirtations or innuendos that she could use; but instead she bent down and picked up the cuffs. With her eyes locked on Maul once again she careful placed the cuffs on her wrist and locked them into place. “Now please let her go.” She had done everything he had wanted, it would be clear now she wasn’t going to fight him all he had to do was let Rosa go. Xilaren didn’t care what happen to her she would figure out how to get out of this situation later right now she was worried about her friend.

Once again the Jedi was doing as he ordered her. Maul certainly enjoyed an obedient Jedi, doing everything without questioning. As she cuffed her wrists together, she was demanding for her friend to be released. This time Maul was going to grant that wish.
He flicked the Jedi's lightsaber off, then shoved the young woman forward a little. "She's no longer any use." He said, as Rosa seemed hopeful of being released from his powerful grip. But before she could take any step away, the colourful saber of the Jedi's weapon grew inside her heart and poked outward from her chest. Rosa's face was twisted, mouth open in a silent cry. Yet her voice was not there. When the lightsaber was pulled out from her, the young woman collapsed lifelessly.
Behind her dead body, Maul was giving a very dangerous smile at the Jedi. He wanted to see her reaction. He wanted to see her misery and pain.

Xilaren’s heart raced as he mention her friend was of no longer any use to him, and had even let the girl go. She was about to tell Rosa to run, to get herself out of here and not look back but the words turned into a cry as she saw her own lightsaber sticking out of Rosa’s chest. Xilaren moved forward and caught her friend as she feel, already dead before the lightsaber even left her body. The red head laid the girl down gently on the ground her eyes full of tears as she looked down at her friend, dead because she had known Xilaren.
Xilaren had reached down and moved a piece of hair out of Rosa’s face, saying a final goodbye and that she was sorry to her friend. Then with a heavy heart she looked up and saw Maul standing there smiling, pleased with himself and the pain he had just caused. So full of anger and pain she rose to her feet. For a moment she forgot that her hands where cuffed together and she advanced on Maul wanting to wrap her fingers around his neck.

As the young woman fell dead, the Jedi was quick to catch her with her cuffed hands. Maul allowed that, watching the heart breaking scene with a feral smirk on his face. He enjoyed the Jedi's pain. He certainly enjoyed to take in her agony. It was delicious and he took pleasure of the Jedi's loss.
Maul wasn't a merciful man. The reason he gave the Jedi a moment had nothing to do with mercy. He noticed the more the the woman looked at her dead friend, the more her heart was breaking. The Dathomirian Lord certainly liked this attitude better on her.
After she said her final goodbye to the young one, Maul paced toward the Jedi and grabbed her upper arm with a gloved hand to yank her up to her feet. This was the first real physical touch he made for this woman. And he wasn't any gentle about it. He clipped her lightsaber to his utility belt instead of throwing it away. Then Maul started to drag her into the dark, his grip tight on her arm. He spoke no words, since there was no need for any talk at this point. He believed his intention was very clear.

Xilaren’s morning for her friend didn’t last long, after all Maul cared nothing for her lost he was enjoying the pain and heart break he had just thrust on her. She was however yanked out of her grief as his gloved hand wrapped around her upper arm and she was pulled to her feet. Xilaren didn’t fight right now, she couldn’t she was lifeless right now. She had seen people killed before but never had someone she had cared for been killed in front of her; and only because they knew her.
Xilaren was dragged toward the dark, she didn’t fight him but her mind was coming out of her grief. She knew what he wanted to do , he was going to torture her now and kill her in the end; making her pay for the humiliation she had caused him even more than he had just done. Part of her was just willing to give up, to let him kill her but then there was the small fire in her that allowed her to flirt in the face of danger was burning inside of her to fight for her life. No she wasn’t going to go easy, she was going to make sure she got out of this situation and make him pay for the death of Rosa. For now however she allowed him to drag her, to allow him to think she was beaten.

Maul kept walking in complete silence and pure dominance. He never even let go of the woman or loosened his grip on her. There were times his pace was faster, so he had to yank the Jedi faster and make her stumble over the bumpy surface of the forest they were in. He leaded the way, heading for a certain destination.
Though, his silence was soon broken; because this was too precious not to tease and mock. One couldn't say Maul had any sense of humour. Because he really didn't. But his idea of being entertained was all about cruelty and violence. Enjoying the she-Jedi's agony was pleasing him quite a lot now. "You don't have anything to say, Jedi?" He asked with a perfectly silky tone that was both dangerous and cruel in the same time.
"Don't you want to play anymore?" He added another question, as they started to head out of the forest now. There was a smug smirk in his tattooed face. His golden eyes were on the redhead for a brief moment. His ship was ahead and that was where Maul was taking her to.

Xilaren was dragged along the way, Maul moving faster and causing her to stumble as they went over uneven ground. She was torn between wanting to cry and find the strength to get away. She didn’t need to see his face, not that it would have shown her, to know that he was enjoying this. He had killed her friend to cause this pain and was going to enjoy it; chances was he was going to cause her much more pain before he would kill her in order to give him more pleasure. Pleasure.. that was something she would work with, though it sicken her now to think about flirting with him because of what he had done but it might just save her.
He asked her if she had anything to say in a very silky tone, but she didn’t answer she just let him drag her onward, threw the forest causing her to stumble in places. The trees soon where thinning and his ship was coming into view. “Why fight you when this is what I’ve wanted the whole time, for you to tie me up and take me.” She answered her voice not as playful as I had been on their other encounters.
