Cirrus was a beautiful world in the Outer Rim. It had two orange suns, golden seas and always supported a springtime weather. The cities of this world was rich and wealthy, simply too beautiful. But Maul wasn't really one to have a taste for beautiful things. While others saw a paradise in here, he mostly saw opportunity. And he was going to use it.
Keeping a low profile would be a wise decision for a man at his caliber. But Maul never really cared for such things. He was simply too confident to hide his presence and he very much preferred to make a name among the galaxy. He wanted to show he was a threat for everyone else. He wanted people to be afraid of him. Fear brought respect and obedience. It was his time to get back to power in this new setting he found himself in. But Maul had enough experience to know how to make things right.
Mostly.
He stood tall in his dark robes in the large hangar. His hood was large and falling down over his face, shadowing most of his face. But red and black crawling over his chin could be seen at any rate. He certainly didn't look like the rest of the Cirrus population. His face would always point out he was no ordinary man.
His recent ship was a wreck. But it was only a temporary transport for him, as he hijacked it from some cowardly trader. It was time to upgrade it and Cirrus was the very place he was going to do some shopping. He was also planning to get other things to recruit some underlings for his disposal. He needed men to fight for him, if he needed to get stronger.
So he walked through the hangar, glancing at the ships in order to pick one for his use. He was just going to claim it. Having a fair trade was never Maul's thing in the end. And he never asked nicely. "Looking for a new ride?" A middle aged man with blond hair asked with a proud smile, pointing back at the ship with his thumb. The man seemed happy to get some cash possibility for the day.
There was no response from the dark cloaked man. But his face was turned at the man's direction, while his eyes couldn't be seen.
"Not a talkative one, aren't we?" The blond man chuckled and waved a hand. "It matters not. I'm sure we can arrange a nice price." He said cheerfully. But those were the last words he could ever speak. The dark robed man didn't even touch the blond. Yet the man was suddenly pushed up in the air by an invisible force and he started to gag. He was being choked, as Maul passed by him; getting inside the ship. The body of the blond man collapsed down, lifeless; once Maul was examining his new ride.
It was a medium sized ship with living quarters. There was enough space for stocking upon weapons and currency. This was going to be a good start for him, none the less.

Xilaren had seen Cirrus before, how could one not have seen or at less heard of Cirrus. It was a very prosperous area, and many came here in order to get away; that is if you had the money to do interspace travel. As a young padwan she had come her once with her master and on that trip had made a few interesting friends; a very loose term; that she stay in contacted with threw the years. That was the reason that Xilaren was heading quickly to that location in her own ship; she had been contact that a dark figure matching the description of the man she was hunting.
Xilaren was not acting under Jedi Counsel orders, in fact when they found out what she was doing she would most likely be facing a lot of trouble. But her mind wasn’t on that right now, it was on finding this Darth Seth known as Darth Maul and stopping him. He had caused enough trouble to the republic and needed to be put away; but the problem was no one seemed to know what to do. It didn’t even seem as if anyone was tracking him, and when she brought it up they just told her he would appear one day and when he did they would get him. That wasn’t good enough for Xilaren who had never been good at waiting around. So she had sent out to her contacts that she was looking for this man, and today it had paid off.
After landing Xilaren jumped out of the aircraft and quickly looked around. Her long red hair braided down her back as she wore the tradition tunic and robes of a Jedi Knight; including her lightsaber at her side. She could tell there was darkness nearby, she sensed it which caused her to smile for he had yet to move on. Reaching up she plucked the hood off her shoulders and place it over her head, the hood covering most of her face in shadow, as she headed toward the hanger.
Xilaren knew she was in the right place the moment she saw the man’s body, it was clear he had been killed by the use of the force and so she just walked past him. Stopping in front of a ship that she knew the man she had been hunting for was inside; for it was just pulsing with darkness. With her hands clasp in front of her in a Jedi manner before calling out. “Shall we try the shower or the bed first.” A smile crept on her lips knowing full well that would get his attention as well as picturing what others would think if they had heard that well; most likely that she was crazy.

Quick hands worked on checking every hidden place in the ship, searching for any weapons or credits the previous owner forgot. It wasn't really required in the end, but there were times Maul found unexpected treasures in unexpected places. Though, he was coming empty handed with this ship. Not that it was a big deal. His new transport was bigger, faster and better in every way.
Shutting the closet filled with junk, Maul headed for the cockpit. But it was then he heard the voice of a woman, asking him some nonsense about trying out the new features of the ship. He had sensed her presence since the moment she set a foot in Cirrus. She didn't even bother to cloak herself from other Force users. And it was obvious which way she was leaning toward. But he didn't act upon it, waiting for her to approach closer for a duel. He managed to get some things done in the meanwhile.
Pausing on his tracks and turning to face the woman, Maul wore a rather grim expression in his tattooed face. But the hood shadowing most of his face hid it. "Jedi..." He almost hissed, his leather gloved hand reaching inside his robes to grab a hold of his darksaber. While he had his saberstaff on himself, it would be too wide to use in this ship. He didn't want to destroy the walls, while spilling Jedi blood on carpets... Which he didn't mind at all.
His darksaber wheezed and flashed in pure black, when he rose it up at his chest level. It was a different design than other lightsabers. It looked flat and sharp tipped like a sword. Certainly an interesting weapon to possess. "Did you come after me alone?" He asked, his lips were being pulled into a rather cocky line. It could make anyone get scared and running away with fear of life. It would be wise for the Republic to send an army after him. But here was a single Jedi. Were they underestimating him now? Or was this a peace offering?
"Foolish." He said and didn't even wait for the woman to make the first move. He already gave her enough time and now it was over.
Quickly, he rushed forward and made a horizontal slash at the Jedi with his darksaber.

Maybe many would have thought her foolish for announcing herself as she just had, not to incud the strange way she had decided to do so, but Xilaren already knew he was aware that she was here. The same way she knew she had landed on the right planet. They could feel each other, the light and dark force, it caused a change in everything around them so there was really no point in trying to do a sneak attack. Not to mention she wanted to draw him out, thought the ship was large it was really much to small to fight in; and she didn’t feel like buying it or paying for it to get clean up when she dismember Darth Maul inside.
When he appeared and she was asked if she had come alone, Xilaren removed her hood and smiled slightly. “Well it didn’t turn out so well for one of the last two guys that confronted you, so I think my odds are better this way.” He didn’t wait for her to make the first move, instead he came flying at her with his saber slashing in a horizontal movement. Xilaren was quick however and pulled out her own light saber to block his. With her saber held in and upward motion while blocking his down Xilaren decided to add a commentary to this moment. “So much for ladies first, not much of a gentleman are you.” With all her might she force him back and took off her robes; it would be easier to move without them, before taking up a fighting stance. “I do have a questions, isn’t that ship a little big for a man your size.” Of course she was hinting about him being cut down the last time he had met with a Jedi, Obi-Wan Kenobi had had a run in with Darth Maul while he was still a Padwan and in the end Darth Maul had been cut in half. Many had thought that was the end of him but here he was. “I mean really you don’t really need something with so much leg room do you?”

Her hood was pushed back and Maul faced the female Jedi smiling at him. He didn't have any expectations, but this was certainly not likely for a Jedi. Was she underestimating him or was this the way she was trying to act friendly? Either way, Maul was going to teach her a lesson. Then she would never be able to smile again.
His attack was blocked by his opponent's lightsaber quick enough and then he was shoved back by the woman. It wasn't a hard push, though. While Maul took a few steps backward, he didn't lose his balance and remained on his feet. She was disrobing herself for easier moving, but Maul didn't follow it. His skills couldn't be effected by small things. He still had his hood over his head, his long sleeves were dancing around him with his every little movement.
All the teasing remarks she made were simply ignored by the Sith Lord. He didn't need a lot of words to prove her she was a fool to come here alone. She was no different from her fallen comrades, no matter how highly she thought of herself. It would be another victorious slaughter by Maul's hands in the end.
While Maul was not effected in the slightest by her words, he was getting annoyed by he mention of his defeat against Kenobi. He hated that man more than anyone and his memory of such humiliation was aggravating him. Only in seconds, Maul was standing at where he was pushed at. Instead of running back at her, he raised his left hand toward the Jedi and Force-pulled her; as he readied his darksaber in order to impale the woman.
"I will cut your tongue and keep it as souvenir." He almost hissed.

Xilaren had to admit that Darth Maul was not a very easy person to read, many people became slightly frustrated or smiled when she said something off the wall; Maul just gave her the same look which only caused her to smile more. Everyone after all had a breaking point and she would find his. She didn’t know really why she found him slightly interesting, maybe it was because he was nothing but this rage monster with no real sign of any other feelings. She had never meet someone like that and maybe a small part of her really wanted to see for herself if that was all he was or if under all that red and black there was something else.
The push back wasn’t a hard one, it was just enough to get him to back off for a moment while she took her robes off. Maul however didn’t move, he would remain in his robes which cause Xilaren to smile even more. “I’ll have to admit this is the first time I’ve meet a male who doesn’t jump at the first chance to take some of his clothing off in front of me.” She didn’t have long to enjoy her own words before she was being forced pulled toward him, her feet sliding across the floor slightly before she gave into a run. When closed enough she jumped and flipped over him, bring her lightsaber down toward him as she landed. “I can think of a lot better things to do with my tongue still inside my head than hanging on a wall.” Taking a step back she ready for a set of attacks with her lightsaber, coming from above and to the side; though she was meet with him blocking her weapon from cutting him with his own. “I mean that’s a little on the gross side having someone’s tongue mounted on the wall, surely you can think of better things.”
If someone was to walk in on this they would be slightly confused, seeing a dark and light jedi in the middle of combat while one of them was trying to carry on a conversations as if they were the best of friends.

Once again Maul was stone cold against the words those came from the Jedi's mouth. Double meanings in playful fashion or not, he didn't care. He wasn't effected. He didn't take any personal. He didn't even talk back to keep up with the banter. He was never the most talkative person around. And he preferred to focus on killing the female Jedi. It always made him have a better day.
Then she flipped over him and avoided his darksaber impaling her in the stomach. But Maul was quick to turn at her in order to block her next attacks. Both sabers wheezes and swung in the air, meeting each other over and over for a while. But Maul was already getting impatient, especially the way the she-Jedi kept talking nonsense.
"You talk too much." He growled like a beast and kicked the woman in the stomach with a steel boot, sending her backward. It was to take her off balance, so he could strike unexpected.

Again her words where lost on him, maybe that was part of why she kept it up because it was interesting to see how much he just was not grasping; or not willing to show he understood. As she flipped over him in order to avoid getting a hole in in her stomach, Darth Maul quickly turned and met her blow for blow with his own saber. The air was filled with the sounds of the two locked in battle, while maul was getting impatient Xilaren only smiled and seemed to enjoy herself; as if this was a game or something.
Finally Maul growled something to her, as he kicked her in the stomach sending her across the room and into the wall. Xilaren hit it with force than slide down to the floor. She was a little dazed there for a moment but quickly pulled herself back to her feet. She didn’t have time to catch her breath, if she waited one moment he would be on her like a fly on crap ready to remove some part of her from the rest of her. “Not really, well unless I’m sleeping which I hardly do or kissing; which you’re welcome to try.” With his growl she knew somehow she had to be hitting a nerve or causing something, if she could just keep pushing him she might cause him to grow angry enough that he would get sloppy and she could get the upper hand. With a quick swing of her saber, from one side of her and around to the other than back again, Xilaren moved toward him to fight once again; the smile still painted on her face.

His kick was able to send her flying backward. her back hit the metal wall of the ship and then she slid down to the floor. Instead of approaching the Jedi, Maul stood where he was and gave a predatory look at the woman. He always had a dangerous aura for anyone. It was not just his devilish looks, but also his body stance and they way he looked at others. But this woman kept speaking in a certain way. Even when Maul was ignoring it to the fullest so far, now her behaviour was starting to take his interest.
"Do you have a death wish?" He asked with an unreadable expression in his tattooed face. It was something mixed. Anger, curiousity and perhaps a bit of surprise. Hints of confusion as well. No, he really didn't understand this woman. He certainly wasn't interested in understanding her either. But this was odd and new for him. Maul was used to face fear and terror in others'. But certainly not this.
"I can arrange that." His free hand was stretched forward and the female Jedi started to be dragged upward by his action. He was indeed bringing her up to her toes by his link to Force. But that wasn't all. His hand started to squeeze the air then, which only meant he started choking the woman without actually touching her.

Many would be scared of the way he stood, by the mere look of him many would run in fear. Everything about this man before her screamed evil and stay away from; but Xilaren wasn’t really one to listen to what others told her to do; not even her own gut. No she loved to push the boundaries as far as she could, and he was no different. She would push him as much as she was able try to find what he really was made of then use it to her advantage. If she got a little fun out of it that would make it all the better. “What’s life without a little risk, I can’t live forever after all so why not have a bit of fun with it.” Xilaren answered back when he asked if she had a death wish, causing her to smile a bit more.
What happen next was expected, many Sith used the force to choke others, I was powerful weapon and very few lived through it. So when she was raised off the ground and her throat tighten Xilaren forced herself not to panic or to fight, if she did it would only make things worse and kill her faster. Instead she forced her mind to be cleared, then using the force she caused a large tank to dislodge from the wall and fly at him, slamming into his back in order to break his grip. This caused her to fall to the ground and gasp for air, but jumping quickly to her feet she was at striking distance, for there was no time to waist. “You don’t look very comfortable in those robes, let me help you take them off.”
Her lightsaber moved through the air quickly, slashing at his robes. Once done she stepped back and waited for a moment a smile on her face as ripping sounds filled the room and his robes feel off his shoulders leaving him bear chest. “Isn’t that better?” She teased ready to strike again.

Maul had nothing else to say at this point. If this was her sense of having fun, then so be it. He was going to choke her until she could no longer breath. Another Jedi missing from the galaxy... That was only good.
Though, the she-Jedi still had fight inside and was trying a last attempt to get free of Maul's choking grip around her neck. He wasn't the only Force user in the ship, which was proved by a large tank being ripped off from the wall and flying over Maul. It slammed against his back, knocking him over and making him release the woman. Now trapped in between the tank and the floor, the tattooed man growled loudly and squirmed in his spot to crawl away from this mess. Even if it hurt, he didn't show it. But the noises he made were clearly showing how displeased he was.
The woman didn't seem to attack for the while he got from under the large tank and rose up to his feet with a rather aggravated expression in his red and black face. He summoned his darksaber into his hand, once more activating it. He sneered at the woman and returned her attacks. While she was fast and making moves at Maul, there was an odd pattern to her attacks. And when she pulled back enough, Maul did strike a battle ready pose. Yet his robes fell apart in thin threads, among with his top. As the ribbons of black fabric pooled down around his boots, his nicely toned torso was revealed. Just like his face, black tattoos were crawling around his skin in a symmetric pattern.
Though, Maul didn't look any concerned about his lack of cloths. He was certainly more aggravated by being played like this instead. He growled and frowned, throwing his darksaber at the she-Jedi; aiming at her neck. He was going to finish her for once and all.

Even though he had returned her blow for blow with his own saber Xilaren had been able to have the last laugh; for when she stood back and he struck his pose she was greeted with her results causing her to smile all the more. “Well they do go all the way down, tell me Maul did those tattoos covered every little part of you before you were cut down in your prime?” She might be smiling, and yes she really was wondering if his Black tattoos had covered every inch of his body allowing only parts of his red skin to show.
Maybe this wasn’t something that a Jedi should be thinking about when faced with a dark Sith but she couldn’t stop her mind from wondering. Nor did it not help that once you got over the grumpy face he wasn’t hard on the eyes at all; not to mention he had muscles that she didn’t even know a guy could have. His clear aggravation caused her to smile and when he growled at her she only growled back a little. Though it was short lived since his saber came flying at her, causing her to quickly swing her own saber to throw his off course from cutting into her flesh.
“you really shouldn’t throw things you know, that tempter might be the death of you one day if your not careful.” It was almost like she was talking to a young child, but it was easy to see he wasn’t a small boy No he wasn’t a young boy at all, it was too bad he was evil and she really needed to kill him cause he really was good looking. Xilaren was being foolish as she stood there without attacking him now that he didn’t’ have a weapon, instead she was enjoying the view.

Maul still seemed not effected by the comment the she-Jedi made about his tattoos. It was a question he came across from time to time, that if they went all the way down. He never answered before, yet this woman got her answer in first hand. It was a first indeed. She had the guts, he gave her that. But having guts didn't always mean a good thing. She was threading a very dangerous route with playing a dangerous Sith Lord. All alone on top of that.
But there, the female Jedi was asking more and more questions about tattoos. Maul did not know why she was this interested, nor he cared. His darksaber throw might have been successfully blocked, but it still provided a good distraction. Though, Maul suspected his tattoos around his torso added to this distraction. He might not understand it truly, but he was going to use it to his advantage.
He wasted no time, when he rushed closer to destroy the gap in between them. Maul didn't need any weapons to kill. He was a living weapon himself. Only in mere seconds he was able to grab the she-Jedi's upper arms and slam her back against the metal wall of the ship; hard. He was physically stronger and he wasn't holding back at all. Their bodies were pressed together closely, as his one arm was horizontally pressing at her neck; limiting her breathing with an impressive -but not deadly- pressure. His other arm was quickly freed, so he could reach his hand out at his darksaber to summon it back into his grip.
He was going to end this Jedi now.

The darksaber had caused distraction but it was his body that caused more of one, which was a foolish thing. Xilaren had stay in one place to long instead of attacking and she would pay for that. Xilaren had blocked the saber from cutting her but she wasn’t fast enough; or really strong enough to stop him rushing her. If she had been paying attention she might have pulled something to block him or hit him off course; even jump out of the way. But she had be lost in thought and was a second too late to react.
Xilaren felt her upper arms grabbed as she was forced backwards; until her back slammed into the side of a ship. His body was pinning her against the ship, there was nowhere to go as he was stronger and heavier than her. Then his arm came across her neck, adding slight pressure to limit her breath but she still smiled. “Shower first then.” Xilaren stated in a husky voice; though most of it was due to her air being cut off. Though he had her body pin she still had her own arms and hands, to which many would use to try and push him off but Xilaren had another idea. Keeping her breathing even and focusing on not panicking, Xilaren slowly raised her hands, letting her fingers to brush his sides, then back down to rest on his hips. “You know we should go somewhere more private.” She whispered moving her head slightly to place a few kisses on his arm that was holding her there. “Unless you want a public display” With a quick movements her hands left his sides and pulled his head toward her where she quickly bit down on his neck.

His weapon was successfully summoned to his hand, now leather gloved fingers were curled around it. But Maul did not flick it on to life... Not yet. Instead his yellow eyes were turned at the Jedi woman, trying to understand the words she was speaking to him. It wasn't just that. But also her hand was now brushing against his bare skin so very gently. It wasn't something Maul was used to. But he could now see one thing clearly: This woman was thirsty for her own blood.
The hand on his hip and the suggestion of going to somewhere private made him tilt his head to the side. Of course, he wasn't going to accept such a thing. It wasn't even up to his consideration. Then her lips were being pressed against his tattooed arm in some form of kisses. Again it wasn't a thing Maul ever experienced before. He didn't think on what he felt about it. The thought of killing her was there, just being interrupted with this weird show of affection. Yet the moment of distraction worked, making Maul pause and take his seconds to glare at the woman. It was all the time the Jedi needed in order to pull his head closer and sink her teeth deep in his neck.
The stinging pain was there, but Maul didn't make any noise about it. His body just tensed and he froze in his spot. His yellow eyes were widened. This was the result of his stupidity. He shouldn't have paused and bought her strange way of distraction. It indeed worked on him. Foolish.
But he pressed his body tighter against her body, slowly crushing her light-weight against the metal all of the ship. Then the tip of the darksaber's hilt was pressed against her chest, where her heart was supposed to be. The ancient weapon wasn't flicked on yet. But any moment, he could activate it. Then it would destroy the woman's heart.
"Release me." He hissed like a cat, yet his tone was all smooth now so close to the she-Jedi's ear. He was tense and he remained tense.
