It was weird, one minute Allana was with Anji in the forest. The wind whipping her hair back as they raced across the mossy ground. In that moment of bliss, Allana had pressed her face into the furry back of Anji. All of the sudden she was hit over the head with the sensation of falling. Her hands dug into the fur of her pet and her legs tightened around Anji's waist. At first Allana thought that maybe Anji had simply leaped over something but the sensation continued. Anji let out a cry as she too felt the affects of the time slip. Just as soon as the feeling had come it had also passed. All that was left of the ordeal was a pounding headache and the sense that something was definitely off. Allana gently rubbed her temples and rolled off of Anji onto the ground. It was cold and hard, more like the ground of an urban area than the lush moon she'd been on. "What...?" Allana pushed herself up off the ground and gave a quick look around the world she now found herself on. All around here were shabby buildings that looked old, very old. Her brow furrowed as she tried to make sense of the scene around her. Anji let out an irritated growl and looked like she was ready to pounce on something--- anything. To calm the animal, Allana sent happy, calming feelings to it through the Force. "Shhh, don't do that!" Glancing around, she spotted what appeared to be an abandoned bottom floor of a building. Wherever they were, it seemed they had wandered into a shady part of the city. Allana guided her pet into the opening of the building, finding a nice place for her to hide. "Stay here until I come back, ok? Don't need you to get me in trouble...again."
It didn't take very much wandering around for Allana to figure out where it was she had landed herself. Between the signs and listening to people passing by she was able to figure out that somehow she had made her way to Nar Shaddaa. How was the biggest question she had but had no real way of learning that. Her most important mission was to get home and fast. The longer she stayed on Nar Shaddaa the more likely it was that someone would learn her true identity and that would cause even more trouble. Grandma is going to kill me. She had foolishly left her commlink at the temple so her first order of business was to convince someone to let her call her grandparents or Luke. That would be a feat by itself. Her thoughts swirled with different ways in which she could accomplish this when something caught her eye.
The news stand had a large screen. The actual story wasn't of much consequence, or at least it wasn't once Allana saw the date at the bottom of the screen. Instantly her heart dropped into her throat and the urge to pass out on to the floor was overwhelming. She wasn't sure how, she wasn't sure why... but somehow she'd gone back in time by several thousand years. With wide eyes, she staggered down the street. Her mind was hazy and she took each step slowly. In her delirium she didn't notice where she was going and she ran right into someone...

Kyle was planet side by this time, his crew having fanned out to pick up different supplies over the city world of Nar Shaddaa. They had enough credits to stalk the cargo hold of the Space Station for a short while, and Kyle looked forward to advertising with some of the local merchants on the world. He could always manage to talk some of them to pack up their shops and move to his station for a short time, selling their goods on his trading floors where he allowed merchants and vendors to set up shop.
He usually let his crew deal with anything like that though when it came to recruitment. He usually had other things he took care of when he came down planet side. He had a station to keep up, and in order to do that he had to bring work in, which required picking up jobs from different people... he rarely took the jobs himself, but he allowed people to do them from his station in order to keep a steady flow coming in or out of the space station. Besides that and allowing haven for outlaws and a place to restock supplies and refuel for larger ships, his station was becoming fairly popular in the out rim territories.
The man was walking down the street, looking down at a Data pad as he did a checklist of the things needed on the station before he felt someone bump into him. Out of instinct the data pad went back to his pocket and his arm whipped around to grab the boy's ear. The small child whipped back at the sensation of pain before Kyle took his wallet back with a shake of his head and a 'tsk tsk tsk' sound. He wasn't cruel or heartless though so he dropped a couple of credit chips on the ground for the boy before he spoke. "And if you want to know how you can get more then that from me, come to the docking bay... 56." He said before he continued walking. The Boy seemed dazed for a moment, but quickly scooped up the credits that had been left whilst rubbing his ear lobe before he was running off to the docking bay that had just been mentioned.
Before he even had his wallet back in his pocket someone else was bumping into him. He glanced down, this one being a young girl this time before he smirked a bit. Clearly she was confused, and not trying to pick pocket him like the last kid... so he didn't snatch her ear like the last time. "And who might you be?" He asked, his accent and tone both coming off smoothly as he looked down to her with a small wink and warm smile.

Allana stumbled back as she ran full force into the taller man. Her eyes traveled up him to stare at his face. He was human, at least ten years older than she was and probably as unsavory as everyone else around her. Instantly Allana's guard went up. She stepped back again and clumsily tried to regain composure. The man smirked down at her and turned up the charm. The girl smirked back. The way he carried himself reminded her of her grandfather which put her at considerable ease. In relaxing she realized something else, she could sense he had some kind of connection to the Force. Aside from being thrown back in time nothing else felt off with him or the situation. For the time being Allana was safe.
"And who might you be?" Allana thought quickly. Ultimately there were two options she could choose from. She could tell him the truth and in doing so potentially reveal her identity as Chume'da from a time in the future. What the man would do with that information was unclear. She could lie and protect her identity, which might have the consequence of keeping her in this time longer. If she was straightforward with the man there was a chance he could direct her to someone who understood what was going on. The problem was that the risks involved with telling him the truth were far greater than the likelihood that someone this man knew would know how to get her home. Having made her decision she flung herself into her role. She knew the role all too well as she had played it before.
Allana flushed at his flirtation. She ran her hand through her hair and chuckled nervously. "Oh, I'm Amelia," she answered and her eyes darted around as if she were looking for someone. "Sorry I ran into ya...should watch where I'm goin'. What about you? What's your name?" To him it would seem she had regained all composure and was not far less nervous. She shot him a flirtatious glance. She wasn't seriously interested in him, not in the slightest, but flattery went a long way.

He continued to look down at her as she regained her composure rather quickly and went into commenting back to him. His kindness wasn't really a way to get to her in an inappropriate, so much as a genuine kindness. Flirtation continued to seep through into his words though as usual with Kyle. Still she introduced him and seemed to play along as she did so, only a moment later turning the questions to him as she asked his name.
"Kyle Orvast." He introduced himself with a mock salute of his two finger tips to his forehead and a very small bow. "And don't worry about hitting me, i'm not going anywhere urgent for a while." He said, checking his data pad once more and putting his wallet fully away now where it had been before all of the people hitting him like this.
((O.O.C sorry for shortness.))

Allana watched Kyle put away his wallet and then look down at his datapad. As he said that he didn't need to be anywhere important soon, this gave her an opportunity. The girl grinned and seemed to bounce a little in her step. The first step in surviving was to find a job or something to do. She doubt that the few credits she had would be accepted in this era. That and she needed to take care of Anji. Maybe if they went to a more rural planet they could survive by hunting but that still left the matter of finding a ride. The man might be able to point her in the right direction.
"Hey, sorry to bother you but I was just wondering if perhaps you could help me out," Allana smiled sheepishly. "I...I got disoriented and I think I'm lost...and I don't have any money. Don't suppose you know someone with a job? Or ya know...anything?" As a Chume'da she wasn't used to begging or really asking for much of anything but she hoped that being direct would work. If not she might have to bust out some of her Jedi skills...

He had barely put his wallet away or looked to his data pad before the girl was speaking up again, bouncing in place as she seemed to act a little nervous. He chuckled lightly, but nodded in reply to her initial question about being able to help her, listening closely as she asked her questions, though he arched his brow a bit in thought at the request. She seemed to be in the looks for some kind of work, which conveniently, he needed workers.
He narrowed his eyes a little as he looked down to her, thinking it over for no more then a couple seconds before he was speaking up once more. "That, My dear, depends on what you're looking to do." He commented as he scratched the side of his face lightly with a finger and bit his lip a little as he looked to her more. "Any special skills?" He asked after a moment with a tilt of his head, his forehead creased in curiosity and question.
If there was anything she could do that might be of use to him and the space station, he would be more then willing to hire her on. She was on Nar Shaddaa so he doubted a life of piracy would really worry her too much... which is exactly what she would be getting herself into, though admittedly there were different areas that she would work on the station that wouldn't really require anything illegal at all.. even by Republic standards.

"That, My dear, depends on what you're looking to do. Any special skills?" Oh boy... sir, you have no idea! Where could she even start with this? She was a Jedi for starters, so there were a myriad of skills that came with that. On top of that her mother had taught her martial arts, Leia had passed on diplomacy, and then there was her stellar sense of humor. But Allana had a cover to keep, that of the orphaned girl named Amelia. At the same time she needed to remain marketable. She bounced on her heels for a moment longer before answering his question.
"Well, for starters I'm very good with animals-- especially the dangerous kind!" she gave him her dazzling Han Solo grin before continuing. "I'm charming and I can sneak around places like no one's business. I also am quite frankly hilarious. And don't let my adorable face and stature deceive you I'm not fragile-- at all." Allana hoped that by laying on some Solo charm she'd be able to get a better recommendation from the man. She sensed that he knew something or at the very least could be helpful to her. Though, just in case that wasn't quite enough she decided to add something else on for good measure. "But to make things clear I'm kind of desperate so I'd be willing to clean toilets if it kept me fed. I really am in a touch spot. So, what do ya say? Got any ideas for me?" Her smile became sheepish and her bouncing stopped so she could look up at him. All the while she used the Force lightly in hopes of influencing his decision. He might be Force sensitive but he didn't appear to be trained, or that was the sense that Allana got.

Little 'Amelia' seemed to return right back to bouncing in place as she fell into thought about trying to figure out exactly what skills she could put on the table. And no sooner then she was speaking was Kyle more then just a little impressed as he arched his brow listening to her. He brought his hand up and scrubbed it down his scruffily kept facial hair, scratching for no more then a second as he soon enough put his finger to his lip in thought.
After a second she was finishing, showing just how desperate she really was about all of this before he was nodding a bit before clearing his throat. There was an odd feeling about the girl, but it didn't seem to be warning him of danger... and as someone who learned over all this time to trust his gut instinct he was able to tell that this was turning out to be a good deal... preferably for the both of them. Well you're in luck.. He commented with a small grin of his own before he was looking around a little.
"I'm in need of someone to man my stables... and your other skills could also come in handy." He commented, deciding not to tell her everything about who he really was. He wanted to gauge her first before explaining he was a, though if he had to be honest the idea of her being able to sneak around like she had just described was putting him even more at ease that she would be comfortable with that line of work.
On second thought he decided to go into a little more detail. "I run some business out of a space station... and someone with your skills could be a valuable member of my crew." He said, trying to put the tone into his voice that showed he may or may not be the most honest of business men, but that he wasn't a bad person as well.

Whether or not Allana's reaching out through the Force had done anything was fairly unclear. To be completely honest she didn't care one way or the other. The most important thing was that she had a job, and one that involved animals no less! As soon as he mentioned the job in the stables her face broke out into a smile. She was so happy that she wanted to punch the air and do a little dance. Luckily, she kept her composure and was able to not do those things. Her gray eyes were bright with excitement as she contemplated what it might be like to have a job like that. It was exciting, and Allana's life long dream to go on an adventure of her own seemed to be coming to reality.
"I run some business out of a space station... and someone with your skills could be a valuable member of my crew." Allana's expression dimmed only slightly. It was clear from both his tone and through the Force that there was something less than legal about his dealings. If only he knew! Allana had not known her grandfather when he was a smuggler, but his type of people didn't frighten her. If Kyle was afraid of scaring her away from the job, he was doing a poor job of it. "Sounds good to me," she grinned at him knowingly. "I'll gladly join your crew, sounds like fun." She was all ready to run off to the station with the strange man when she remembered Anji. Anji was still waiting for her in the abandoned building. Allana wasn't about to leave her trusted pet. Luckily, it sounded like Kyle had someplace for her to stay. "Oh, hey there's room for my pet Nexu, right? Don't worry, she's well behaved!" Allana added her sweetest, heart melting smile in hopes that her new employer wouldn't mind bringing the animal on the ship as well.

It seemed that his hint at what his crew did didn't seem to sway her negatively at all. In fact if the smile on her face said anything she was more then willing to agree to that kind of work, which was rare and surprising, but oddly enough expected. He nodded a bit with a smile of his own before he took a step in the proper direction to the docking bay, though stopped a little when she asked her next question, trying to think for a moment.
Seriously... a Nexu?
He had to make sure he remembered correctly what kind of animal she was talking about before he looked back to her. "You have a pet Nexu?" He asked when he turned to her a little, biting his lip a little in thought before he was commenting somewhat playfully, but also with a serious undertone. "You won't have to remind me not to get on your bad side." He mused, but shrugged in the end.
"I'll have my men prepare a spot in the stables for him though." He commented with a small nod in agreement, not having a problem with such an animal as long as it didn't go on a killing spree with his employees and customers.

Much to Allana's amusement, the mention of Anji seemed to put Kyle on alert. Perhaps it was because big scary animals generally did not worry her, but his reaction was slightly unexpected. Animals weren't dangerous if one knew how to work with them. Fortunately Allana knew how, even without the aid of the Force. Having heard that Anji was welcomed to come along as well she decided it was time to gather the animal before it got bored and wandered off. After getting the location of Kyle's transport and a meeting time, Allana rushed down the street. She'd meet her new employer at the landing pad.
Luckily for Anji, Allana, and the public at large Anji had decided to take a nap in the abandoned building. Allana crouched down next to Anji and gently stroked her head until she woke up. "Hey, girl," she whispered, pressing her cheek into the nexu's soft fur. "We got ourselves a place to stay." The nexu got up, stretched and then danced around Allana, sensing the girl's excitement. Her long two pronged tail darted about excitedly, ready to hunt or climb. Climbing was the better option of the two so Allana climbed onto Anji's back, gripping the scruff of her neck. She nudged Anji's sides while reaching out through their connection to bid the animal to go forward. Anji was more than happy to comply and burst out of the building at a run.
Aside from several odd looks, the trip to Kyle's ship was rather uneventful. Anji was on her very best behavior on the landing pad, not even looking at Kyle or anyone else there as snacks. Allana made a mental note to reward the animal later. She nimbly jumped off the nexu and walked towards Kyle with a wide smile on her face. "I made it!" she informed him, her enthusiastic smile taking over her face. "And as you can see I brought Anji. Isn't she cute?"

He stood there a moment, making sure there was nothing more to be discussed between the two of them before the girl was beginning to wander away from him to wherever it was she had the beast stabled for the moment. That in mind he turned on his heels, leaving from the location they had just been talking and heading directly for the docking bay which wasn't far from there.
He arrived within a few moments, making sure to watch as his men loaded the ship with some of the goods they had picked up. He was careful to inspect the cargo, letting the men take it up by hand before the crates were all loaded and payment was being distributed among his men... Kyle also being sure to save a portion of it for his station so as to be able to pay some of his employees there and take care of some maintenance. The Station didn't just run because he did jobs like this... there were several people who did work and made money, all of it being distributed in a way that made everyone as happy as he could manage. It was a method that worked well, and he had plenty of people that made enough money that he could keep people from causing any kind of a riot.
Just as some of the last crates had been inspected and were being loaded onto the ship in the cargo hold, he turned to see Amelia trotting up to the port on her mount, smirking a bit at the sight. He had to admit if she could tame that thing, it was an impressive skill indeed. Nexu were notoriously vicious creatures, nearly impossible to find outside of illegal pit fights and in the wild. He smirked a bit, both at her enthusiasm and the fact she was describing her pet as cute. "She is a sight to behold." Kyle admitted before pointing to the cargo hold that was lowered from the side of his ship... allowing them to load the cargo without having to take the gang plank. "I hope you don't mind tying her up in the hold?" He asked tilting his head a bit.
